So I have decided to watch only until episode 28 tonight. I will not be watching tomorrow because of the heartbreak and will wait until nov. 13 to continue ?

OMG IM SO SAD SO FU RONG ALREADY KNOWS WHAT XU JIN HAS TO DO TO GET THE IMPERIAL GUARDS BACK? SO SHE HAS THIS VACATION WITH HIM FOR THE LAST TIME AND DIVORCES HIM AFTER :( IM SO SAD UAIWJKFEDGVFBALJ

AT LEAST WE HAVE A GIST OF WHAT WILL HAPPEN. IM QUITE EXCITED TO SEE FU RONG FIND OUT THAT XU PING IS AN ASSHOLE AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH THERES THAT SCENE IN THE OPENING SONG WHERE SHE POINTS XU JIN'S FAN AT HIM!! IM EXCITED FOR FU RONG TO FIND OUT JUST HOW DIRTY DUKE AN IS. I WOULD HAVE RESPECTED HIM MORE IF HE FOUGHT FACE TO FACE WITH XU JIN BUT HE'S JUST USING BASE TACTICS LIKE CONVINCING THE EMPEROR TO MAKE XU JIN MARRY AN OFFICIAL WIFE.

I HATE HIM HE DOESNT DESERVE TO BE A SECOND MALE LEAD. HE'S LITERALLY A VILLAIN! NOT EVEN HIS LOVE FOR FU RONG REDEEMS HIM. HE KEEPS CLAIMING THAT THE THINGS HE DOES ARE FOR HER BUT HE HAS HIS OWN AGENDA BEHIND EVERYTHING HE DOES.

DOES HE THINK FORCING XU JIN TO DIVORCE EHR/MARRY AN OFFICIAL WIFE WILL MAKE HER HAPPY? HE'S SO SELFISH! DOES HE REFUSE TO SEE THE FACT THAT FU RONG IS SO IN LOVE WITH XU JIN AND WHAT HE DID WILL PROBABLY HURT HER? LIKE I SAID HE HAS A MOTIVE FOR EVERYTHING HE DOES THAT HE CLAIMS TO DO FOR FU RONG. HE DOESN'T DESERVE TO HAVE FEELINGS FOR FU RONG AND HE DOESN'T EVEN DESERVE HER KINDNESS AND TRUST TOWARDS HIM! SHE TRUSTS HIM SO MUCH BUT HE GOES BEHIND HER BACK TO TRY AND KILL HER HUSBAND. DISGUSTING!!!

I'VE NEVER HATED A SECOND LEAD AS MUCH AS I HATED HIM AHHHH (ON ANOTHER NOTE I DO LOVE HIS CHARACTER IN HIS DRAMA WITH ESTHER YU BUT I ABSOLUTELY HATE HIM HERE)

IM QUITE SURE THAT THE SCENE WERE DUKE AN STABE XU JIN WILL BE IN THE NEXT EPISODE. IM QUITE CONFIDENT XU JIN WILL NEVER MARRY ANYONE ELSE EXCEPT FU RONG I HOPE THE SYNOPSIS FROM BEFORE COMES TRUE WHERE THEY LIVE IN THE COUNTRYSIDE AND LIVE HAPPILY EVER AFTER AHHHHHHH I HOPE THEIR DIVORCE DOESNT GET OFFICIATED SO THAT THEY ARE STILL MARRIED IN THE FUTURE EPISODES D:

OH and a theory I had a few comments ago came true!!!!!! aHHHHHH so Fu Rong did somehow become friends with Cui Wan! I knew it! She is annoying but she's not evil. Just like Fu Rong said.... Isn't she kind of cute? AHAHAHA also omg looking forward to that scene where Fu Rong and Cui Wan are running away from assassins and Xu Jin grabs Fu Rong so they can fall off the cliff together. THE MOST IM EXCITED ABOUT IS THEIR HAPPY ENDING AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

ahhh even if it isn't that heartbreaking... I'm going to take abreak from watching this drama from friday until it is completed D: can't bear to wait ahhh

I've been worried sick this past week about the heartbreak coming in ep 29-30. Turns out, it was just Fu Rong protecting Xu Jin. To me this is not thee worst case scenario I imagined so I feel very happy about that. I really hope they get back together soon and live happily ever after ahuhu :(

True!! I thought it would be crazy heartbreaking but I understand why Fu Rong is doing it. I'm pretty sure their seperation will be temproary. I read somewhere that after she gets kidnapped by her old finace, Xu Jin and Fu Rong's relationship will improve even more dramatically. Despite the amazing markeeting iqiyi is doing by keeping us on our toes, I do believe that this drama will have a good ending! I real; thought about it and felt like they are just teasing us (lol if that makes sense). It's been set from the start that they'd have a happy ending, they just want us to worry it would be tragic like Legend of Yunxi D:

I think she started working for him after she accidentally killed Ruyi. I don't know if you watched that episode where the fight between Xu Ping and Ruyi happens but Xu Ping hugs Gu Yuan after she accidentally kills Ruyi saying it was okay and that he would take care of her. So I think she started working for him from then on. But I think she has some loyalty left because she is scene defending Fu Rong and Cui Wan on the cliff from enemies in one of the OSTs so she either still ahs loyalty for Ruyi Pavillion or she is protecting Fu Rong out of the orders of Xu Ping

Yeah I'm sure it was a dream sequence when he woke up to Fu Rong serving him soup that's why he hugged her so tightly and said that they would stay together forever :(

Totally! There are so many LOYX references that it makes it seem more like a reincarnation drama or like a season 2... NOT THAT IM COMPLAINING HAHA I LOVE IT <33

very true!! Im actually into cold MLs like LFY but Xu Jin actually melts my heart with his sincere treatment of Fu Rong which is why viewers are so angry when she tried to kill him in their wedding. He is obviously so in love with her :( My heart feels so fluffy whenever he calls her Rong'er aiyaaaaaaaaaa <33

She's actually not 21 in the novel! The novel starts with her as a 20 something year old then reborn as a 14 year old wit knowledge of the future events. Xu Jin also died when he was 20 something and gets reborn to his 18 year old self. He actually waits for Fu Rong and marries her when she is 15 (the marriagable age at that time)

A crown prince was never mentioned but Prince Su is actually the brother of the emperor and Xu Jin's Uncle probably making him one of the strongeset candidates for the throne (not that Xu Jin wants it ahuhu)

I have a theory that they will have a happy ending in this life! I don't know if you guys read the initial synopsis of this drama when it was still rumoured, but it was basically confirmed that they would have a happy ending!!!

1.) The Synopsis!!!
This is the current synopsis of iqiyi:

The original and the one I read before which is why I was so freaking excited for this drama:

When Fu Rong's master Liu Ruyi commits suicide, Xu Jin aids Fu Rong as she musters the courage to stand up again and find the mastermind who caused her master's death. They also get caught in a rebellious plot brewing in the palace, when Fu Rong discovers Xu Ping's rebellion schemes while carrying out disaster relieving measure. She uses the gemstone hairpin to find Xu Ping's secret basement, and finally forces Xu Ping to own up to his crimes. After undergoing a series of life changes, Fu Rong and Xu Jin retires to their homeland and lives a peaceful and happy life together.

2.) The novel has a happy ending where they live happily married in the end! (They even gave each other longevity bracelet because they both die young in their dreams- although the drama is WAY different from the novel! The novel is actually a rebirth novel and not like a dream seeing the future!)

3.) There is no way they would cast a super popular and shipped couple like ZZH and JJY and make them do a drama with a tragic ending like their first drama (where they became super successful) because not only would it be a bad choice (for the production team), but it would cause the anger of probably countless fans who are watching this because they are heartbroken from the vague/tragic ending of LOY.

I do hope that the modern setting they were filming was just a special scene like in the General's Lady! I hope they have a happy ending in both lives <33

Really agree! Despite being based on a novel, it's really far from it and is more like a LOYX continuation! Not that I'm complaining <33 Im loving all the references like when Xu Jin tells Fu Rong to imagine what he would feel when he woke up and she wasnt there (poor LFY) and also that part where he says everything in his Duke Su's (Prince Qin aiyaaa) residence is his.... including her AIYAAAAA <3

She is indeed working for Duke An! He said he would take care of her after she accidentally killed Ruyi and she also delivered a report of some kind to Xu Ping in the latest episode meaning she is indeed working for him. But I do think she has some loyalty left for the actual Ruyi Pavillion! Xu Ping keeps looking for a seal to be able to control said Pavillion which is obviously Fu Rong's bracelet. SHe will probably recognized as their master? or perhaps protected by them because her shifu never wanted her to know of the dark side of their business

I think she is either not in wedding gear (cuz I don't think her outfit was extravagant enough for a wedding)- and wearing a a red robe instead? Also I'm glad that Xu Jin wasn't wearing a wedding robe HAHA

Don't you guys think there'a a possibility that the princess of xihe will be Fu Rong and Xu Jin's ally???? I know she's super annoying but I was surprised when she left after Xu Jin told her to her face that he would only marry Fu Rong and no one else. Also one of the previews for next week's episodes where she sees Xu Jin and Fu Rong kissing, she was actually looking for Fu Rong who seemed to be lying beside her before she went out to meet Xu Jin.
I feel (and hope) that she won't be a big problem for our leads. There's also that scene where Fu Rong was saving her on a cliff right? They didn't seem like enemies then. I do think they could become friends especially with Fu Rong's charming personality. Even if Cui Wan was jealous, she would probably see why Xu Jin likes her so much. And there's that scene where they're hanging from the cliff. Fu Rong and the princes were holding seperate things and Xu Jin was there as well trying to reach Fu Rong. But when she falls, Xu Jin lets go to fall with her. I think although the orincess is annoying, she is not a bad person...
