Actually ...“The authors requested that Eung-bok didn't "follow 100% of [the] Webtoon story" because they wanted…
yes give it a read. the relationships b/w the characters was more well-executed. and they were more fun.
may i add, one thing i didn't like on this adaptation is they really drained out the main character's comedic scenes and decided for the side characters to hard carry the humor (which i find: not laughable at all).
no matter what, this is a bad adaptation of the webtoon. the way they went on government conspiracy route again means they did butcher it up. we've seen it for like gazillion times now on movies and they did it again here. what sets sweet home (the original comic) is the way they made it psychological-monster movie. this adaptation was just not "it". but then, maybe if you had 0 idea of the webtoon, you will like this. but as someone who loved the webtoon version so much, this is bad. really bad. i want to put out all my rants and things they changed i didn't like. don't shame me for comparing them bc they are just right to be compared as they came from same material.
lazy writing? lol the world building here was so good. what are you saying? and some dialogues were really philosophical.…
yeah i agree with the jump scenes, but i get quite used to it. haha. no drama is perfect. and also another yeah, i really like that it was half-fantasy. that was hard to achieve huh.

fantasy stories like this could get easily overwhelming if not done well. most fantasy were like info-dumping everything when it comes to explaining the rules of their world. this one, they really did it well. bit by bit without getting boring. and for a superhero story, im quite surprised how im able to connect with the characters easily. and with the well-executed thing, don't you see the action scenes? they are really cool. i was like WOAH everytime they are in doing action scenes. and with the dialogues, i love that they are not over the top. i can't argue anymore as taking in every drama is subjective. but for me, this one was a sure top-tier. what's not to watch with this drama when i feel whirlwind of emotions every episode? and to add, im not even expecting this to be lined up with that 9.2 dramas where leads are strikingly beautiful. and uh-oh stars big name actors and actresses.
[ep1]So predictable damHow can there be so many cliches in just the first episode? There's nobody to carry this…
lazy writing? lol the world building here was so good. what are you saying? and some dialogues were really philosophical. really, if you're gonna find unique show nowadays, there's really none. its all about execution now. and this one was undeniably well-executed. but hep, maybe you're not that much of a fan of thrillers.
about to drop this on ep 2, but ep 3 was so good. terribly good. i really like suho x jugyeong T.T but also like seojun x jugyeong. yes the way im so confused who to ship.
an orphaned main character is pretty much a trope now, but this one. this drama really gave whiplash emotions on the pain of losing your parents. i really felt jo byung gyu's acting to the bones. plus the execution, the intensity of the scenario. and with that soundtrack as ending song. praises are all to this drama.
I WISH SOME OF YOU MIGRATE UNDER THE UNCANNY COUNTER COMMENT SECTION. THE DRAMA WAS FREAKING GOOD. ALL CHARACTERS ARE WELL WRITTEN. AND THE PLOT WAS TIGHT. NO LOVE TRIANGLES. NO NONSENSE ROMANCE.
