first episode was a bit messy, but so much better than i expected it to be. i'm so excited where the show will…
i agree, the storytelling was a bit messy but i am intrigued. the writer managed to put depth into the main characters by just one episode. and also the queer rep is a huge plus.
Why are people like shim eun woo not ostracized in the kdrama world, i thought that was the standard procedure…
This is filmed before the bullying scandal came out. Hence the shelving of this drama was a direct consequence of the ostracization of people like her in kdrama industry.
Inkyung saved the day for them in Ep 4. She humbled herself by bringing in the grand aunt to settle the medical…
which she could do before in joo sold herself to the rich. but ok. i don't know why it takes them so long to ask their aunt of money for their lil sis surgery.
- Hyo Rin is their third sister. I know she's supposed to be dead, but who knows. They kept showing what happened…
this is what i think too. the two sisters will be put in grave danger and in joo will die while in kyung will escape and report to the world what transpired with park jae sang's family.
Her self-righteousness is kinda annoying but ok. Just my preference. I prefer In Joo's character more than In…
If she was so obsessed with money, she could have spend right away the money. She thinks of survival first and always. She knows nothing was free in the world and the danger of that money. That's why she did a little bit digging first. She even wanted to return that money in the police if not warned by Cho Do Il.
- Hyo Rin is their third sister. I know she's supposed to be dead, but who knows. They kept showing what happened that night. Maybe there's more to it. And Hyo Rin might be adopted, since as Park Jae Sang's wife said "she loves secrets". That might be a foreshadowing. - Oh In Joo might die in the end. I know it's quite far fetched but it's not impossible, eh. We've seen what great lengths she will do for her sisters. So a heroic death might be her endpoint. - This is quite wild, but I have a hunch that Park Jae Sang's wife is Hwa Young. LOL. That's why they mentioned about plastic surgery in the pilot episode.
As someone who is poor for their whole life, I love how this drama brings out all the ugly things of having not enough money for everything. Even with the basic healthcare, food and shelter.
The tragic backstory about their dead sister stirred me so deeply. And I love how they showed its direct effect to all the family members through In-Kyung's monologue. That was such a profound moment.
Anyways, the end of episode 3 got me all hyped up with what's coming next. With In-Hye on the crossroads choosing between her family and ambition, what will she choose?
Finally, it's confirmed! My expectations are high for the new season. I don't mind the recasting at all. Tho, yes it could be better if the old cast is back. But things happen and we just need to accept that. And the new actors are not bad at all. Their acting are both A+. I'm glad they didn't leave this series on ashes.
still nothing has beaten this drama yet for making me feel so much emotions.
In Kyung acts out of her conscience.
In Hye acts out of impulse.
