EP35: Started with the talk about Aneda buying the shares of Teng Yue. As I have said earlier, what's bought is the share, not the company. Even though they have 51% of shares, that doesn't mean they can just make changes in Teng Yue without any reason. She will still be the person who make that final decision for Teng Yue. I'm sure Xu Shi would have fought that for her at least. I think whether Xu Si told her or not about the shares, it wouldn't have made any differences. She would still do what she did now.
I'm sad for both Jiang Hu and Xu Si. Xu Si is more like an empty shell now, he lost the most important thing to him due to his business decision. Jiang Hu actually lost more than just someone she loves, she also lost her people due to her own action.
While I'm sad Yang Jian decided to have a divorce, but that's the best thing for him. He should know that being with someone who didn't love you enough will end up in tragedy. Letting go is also another form of love, which would be better for him rather than tangled into a relationship that gives him nothing in the end.
What Xu Si said in the end is correct. They can wait for Jiang Hu, but Teng Yue can't. They need a leader to help with the daily work. All the factory workers have no choice but to work.
Jiang Hu moving to a different company after leaving Teng Yue felt so weird to me. Like, what decision is this? To get back Teng Yue using this new job? I feel like it's too much of a stretch by this point. But I guess none of the scriptwriter ever worked in a company before. That kind of weird interview could only be done in a dramaland.
Ep36 Jiang Hu suddenly has idea about the shoes even before she saw the product specification, the materials, the yearly report, etc? Wow, so genius. I wish I could be like her and understand everything just by moping, changing hair, and looking at the products and without doing any market research. My boss would love to have Jiang Hu in the company, to cut down cost he said. After all, she's that genius. Again, only viable in dramaland.
Xu Shi by this point is just a sad looking man. I don't think he will be able to hold on mentally for a long time. The man is dying, and it's by his own hand. That dog must have been his saviour, as well as the chance to see Jiang Hu again, even though it's very fleeting.
So now you're back buddy buddy again with Gao Yi? Really? Wow, this is something I didn't expect. True, Xu Si might be a bad guy or a villain in her heart, but Gao Yi?
Again, Jiang Hu being so good at her job. Without even learning anything. The entire episode she's only visiting people and do nothing. And yet, she's so knowledgeable about the entire market, without doing market research. What Zhaoyang and Xu Si did more like what employees did for the company. What I found weird is that Jiang Hu can be fashionable working at other factory, but in Teng Yue she wears casual clothes. I don't understand this logic.
Xu Si taking over Teng Yue management is good. What do you think? He will just sit down and wait for someone who will not come back? Life must go on. He might be slowly dying inside, but there are people who need to be fed. Those factory workers can only get payment if the company continue to operate.
I feel like ep35-36 is just filler. I still love this drama, but I guess I'm no longer as desperate for the next episode like before. I remember around episode 15, I feel like I'm going crazy not having the next episode to watch. This is still very good and solid though.
From my POV,even though he has the right to do so he can't sell it without letting JH know afterall she is the…
I don't see it in this way at first but I think you're correct in this. I didn't think she's that bad though. The reason why I'm so invested in this because they feel like real people to me rather than just characters on my screen. I hope everything will end okay for them.
I think there are many types of people in this world watching dramas. Those who like it will like it, and those…
True. It's very rare that the original novel author get to speak in the creation of the drama. I think except for Mo Bao Fei Bao who required all her drama adaptation's script to be written by her. But I'm not sure about the sequel to Go Go Squid (the one with Hu Yitian) and also the Road Home. It felt so different from the way she writes her script.
From my POV,even though he has the right to do so he can't sell it without letting JH know afterall she is the…
I am sure it's not illegal. You can inform and not inform, as long as the shares you sold is the one you own. True, Jiang Hu might be stuck with Aneda, but it should be her job to take care of the problem. I think she's entitled to get angry, but I don't get why she had to also ruin Teng Yue's image in front of all people. It feels more like a whining kid to me. But again, I love this drama because everyone so flawed though. No one is the best or the most perfect, so I enjoy hating and loving them at the same time.
About the NDA, I think he didn't really tell them the number and the terms right? He just told them he's going to sell to Aneda. I think he told others because he knew how Jiang Hu will react to the news. Though I still think this is the biggest flaw of the drama.
i dont know what laws this drama operates in, but minority shareholders can be protected from situations like…
Sometimes you just can't help it though. I do understand Jiang Hu's point of view, but I also understand Xu Shi. Though I don't like what he did, it's still not required of him to tell her about the selling of the shares though. I'm sure in some of the K-dramas, there's a situation where suddenly the male lead becomes the highest shareholders because he managed to get people to sell their share, but not telling anyone about it. It's the same as that. We can sell the shares without having to inform anyone, as it's our decision.
About Xu Si selling Teng Yue to Aneda, I think there should be some kind of correction in this. What he sold is not Teng Yue, but the shares that he hold in Teng Yue. As a shareholder, and the major one at that, he has all the rights to sell his shares to any entity who's interested in buying them. And according to my friend who works in the finance and also handling investment, you don't have to tell anyone if you wanted to sell your shares. You bought it with your own money after all, if you wanted to sell, then you can. After the selling is completed, then he had the obligation to inform about the change of ownership of shares.
What Xu Si did is just the norm. He bought Teng Yue's shares, and when the shares at the peak, he's selling them to make the money. He's not wrong. He has no obligation to tell Jiang Hu about this decision, after all Jiang Hu not his boss. And I'm sure there's NDA somewhere in his contract, in which he's not allowed to say anything about his work to his family. I mean, even I as the normal Manager has NDA not to share any information of my work to anyone. I can mention: "My boss is annoying, giving me more work making me do overtime" but I can't disclose what I worked on. So his behaviour not telling Jiang Hu is in line with the NDA, in my opinion.
What makes him terrible is that he's mixing his emotions in them. He's pursuing his business partners as his romantic relationship. Not that it's bad, but it will definitely cause some problems. Conflict of interest.
While I think he's not that bad in terms of business, but in terms of being a boyfriend, he's a total jerk. He deserves the slap and the hate Jiang Hu had for him. Just my opinion on this.
So a lot of people questioned if he really was a professional, and can differentiate between work and private…
I agree with you. He is infatuated with her since the beginning. But in the start, what he saw in her was a way to make money. In the drama, he always say it, what he bets on not Teng Yue, but Jiang Hu. He's confident in her ability and skill, and somehow got attracted to her as well. He didn't think he would have that much love for her, but he did. In the beginning when he's still pursuing her, the looks in his eyes more like a man who's just teasing his crush. But in the later episodes, his eyes when looking at her always full of pride and love. It's so obvious that now he loved her too much, but being an investor, he still needs to be level-headed. I believe what he did not wrong though, after all, when Teng Yue's shares in the peak, I would like to sell the shares to someone who will be willing to pay and then to get profit from it.
I don't think anybody is judging Bai Lu here cuz she has proven herself "over and over again" and there is no…
I don't know whether Ren Jialun could be considered as top dogs though. He started his career in 2015, and he was not even trained as an actor. I do love him and I think he's a natural-born actor, but his recent works not so good. Well, sometimes you can't choose a project, your agency choose the project for you. I don't remember whether Bai Lu is considered as A-list, but I don't think she is though. I need to find her super topic in Weibo when I have the time and check my source again.
I think there are many types of people in this world watching dramas. Those who like it will like it, and those…
It's sad, but people need to make money somehow. I'm sure the author also not happy with all the changes, but when it's all about profit and getting as much money as possible, it's hard to have a say in them.
I think there are many types of people in this world watching dramas. Those who like it will like it, and those…
There is reporting system here. I usually just report people who discriminate others. Yeah, true to that. I saw worse pages than this one, and everyone actually pretty mild here.
There are times in our life when we believe in something we can't see the truth or can't accept the truth. This drama was nowhere near good, even if I'm being generous I'll give it 5.5/10, but it still made my day. I laughed quite a lot.
Yes. When they're started harassing people and started bringing things that didn't relate to this thread or to the topic of discussion, they should be reminded. I believe good communication will be more effective :)
I don't think anybody is judging Bai Lu here cuz she has proven herself "over and over again" and there is no…
Wu Lei might be younger, but he is a child actor. He graduated from prestigious university with acting as the baseline. It's not really fair to compare them though in my opinion.
I'm also not anti Wang Hedi. I love all the actors who can perform well in their role. He did well in Cang Lan Jue, but not well enough to consider he's top rated actor. Luo Yunxi also started young in acting, so he had more background in this area, which gives him more leverage than Wang Hedi in a way.
I agree with you he needs to try something else. Too bad, just like Wei Zheming, I think he got stereotyped in his role. I saw Wei Zheming in almost the same role all the time, making me sad for him.
I think there are many types of people in this world watching dramas. Those who like it will like it, and those…
True though. Most of the time, it's easier to accept drama adaptation not going to be the same as the novel. I've finished reading the novel too, so I did feel frustrated in some point. Sometimes, the writer can't even decide what to do with the drama, since investors will also take participation in the creation. Sad, but true, especially in Chinese drama nowadays, where the biggest player is not the creative people, but the capitalists.
If you don't mind the angst, by all means watch it. If you're not good with angst, like me, who deeply regret…
Sometimes the English translation of the Chinese title can be quite awkward. Yeah, I feel so frustrated. It's the first time I just wanted to pay for the advance episodes and be done with it. My fragile heart can't take it anymore.
People who have already watched today's episodes tell me,should I wait for tomorrow to watch all the 4 together…
If you don't mind the angst, by all means watch it. If you're not good with angst, like me, who deeply regret my own action, maybe will be better to wait until the end of the drama. I am going crazy waiting for the next episode and they don't sell us the advance episodes
So a lot of people questioned if he really was a professional, and can differentiate between work and private…
I can understand his side though. He knew he's good at his job so he thought he could just bid her bye bye without thinking twice about it. But who knows, that he will fall in love with her so deeply. It's really karma, and in a way, for him to be more human and think with his heart rather than just thinking with his brain.
I don't think anybody is judging Bai Lu here cuz she has proven herself "over and over again" and there is no…
I'm one of those people who don't really like Wang Hedi's acting. He's improving, yes, but at the same time he's also still far behind his other peers of the same age or generation.
Comparing him with Luo Yunxi and Ren Jialun, who is super gifted in acting, might be a little bit too harsh though.
The actor in the same category of Wang Hedi should be Xu Kai, who I found have unstable performances. There are other young actors in the same category, but I forgot their name. Wei Zheming is also part of this category, though he's not young. But he has unstable performance as well. Hu Yitian was also part of this, though he did improve now. And also Lin Yi.
I think there are many types of people in this world watching dramas. Those who like it will like it, and those…
Being reasonable is still a good thing. Loving something doesn't mean can't accept the flaw. True, they might behave rather childish, but to give them the thumbs down just because they're also expressing their thoughts, whether it's the love for the drama or for the actors, which is still part of the drama, should be allowed. If they said something harsh or discriminating, then report them.
I think there are many types of people in this world watching dramas. Those who like it will like it, and those…
I don't mean you can't criticize the drama. It's allowed. But bringing the name of other drama in this thread, like "Bai Lu did better in this drama and such drama", what's the point? This is not the thread of that drama. It's for "Only for Love" and the discussion should stop in there. I believe it's the respect that we could give to the people who created the drama, no matter how bad it is.
I'm sad for both Jiang Hu and Xu Si. Xu Si is more like an empty shell now, he lost the most important thing to him due to his business decision. Jiang Hu actually lost more than just someone she loves, she also lost her people due to her own action.
