I saw someone saying the atypical family is wayyy more better than this... I'm planning to watch only one of these…
As someone who watched (and am currently still watching TAF) both, I would say it depends on your tastes. Both have very good acting and writing, has romance and has it's funny and sad scenes, but the execution is completely different. While LR has a more light-hearted and ridiculous (but in a nice way) setting, TAF tackles deeper and more psychological settings, while still maintaining good humour. Tbh, I would recommend both, but that depends on which type of drama you usually prefer to watch
to the LR ongoing watchers who watched while airing (if you are still in the comment section!) what are you all…
I am currently watching The Atypical Family! It has a completely different vibe and setting from Lovely Runner, but it also has it's good combination of both funny and angst scenes. The acting is also superb, and the writing has been very intriguing so far!
You know what we should get? An spin-off/sequel where Taesung gets his well deserved love and happiness cuz my boy deserves it 😠I didn't get Second male lead syndrome with him because 1. SolJae were perfect for each other and 2. Taesung and Sol had such amazing platonic friendship between them. I want a spin-off where he goes off doing his detective work while he finds someone to fall in love with, and I definitely would love to see SolJae and Baek Inhyuk being their supportive selves with Taesung and his new love interest.
omg WHY did they make him gain so much weight when they used the bodysuit for the sister ??https://kisskh.at/article/although-i-am-not-a-hero-drops-stills-choi-kwang-rok-gains-30-kg-for-his-roleThis…
Random thought but I just think Dahee looks so cute when she cries, because she allows herself to be vulnerable for once and it's like she goes back to being that lonely kid from her past, because we all know she never overcame her fear of being left behind. The scene where Gwijoo said he would never come back to her and she cries but then sees "future" Gwijoo right in front of her and she allows herself to cry in front of him, that was just so 🥺
Sunjae having to live 15 years of his life with an unrequited love, guilt and resentment from his loved one and dying alone in the end, to now Sol living 15 years of her life without the one person she wants to see the most, while carrying all their past emotions all alone. This was NOT the reverse uno card I wanted ðŸ˜
Wait wait wait I just realized Sunjae never got to be an idol in this newer timeline...... Because...... Since he never met Sol....... He didn't write nor sing Sudden Shower.................. And now I am sad and suffering and in pain all over again
I adore Gwijoo but seriously, Junwoo acts more heart fluttering in this drama than him 😠I know it's done on purpose, but it's amusing to me that my heart fluttered more for the teenagers's love life than I did with the MCs' love life hahahahah
I am really glad Dahee called off the wedding and admitted to everyone that it was all a fraud. As much as I am wishing for her and Gwijoo to be together, the whole wedding seemed so rushed and not genuine. Just like someone stated here, Gwijoo seems to be confusing "loving" Dahee from him finally finding a meaning in his power and life, which in this case for him is finally finding someone who he can save in the past. That is why the whole wedding scene seemed so off to me, because everyone had some kind of second intention and goal behind it, everyone was plotting something during that wedding, and I think Dahee and her "mom"'s marriage fraud was the least of our worries, since the Bok family seems to be turning the game now in their favor. Gwijoo seems to be obsessed with trying to go back to the past to finally save someone, and he needs to realize that his feelings for Dahee aren't love right now, but just him trying to use Dahee to make him feel a sense of worthiness, albeit he may be doing that unconsciously.
Maybe it's just me but the so called "lack of chemistry" between the leads right now seems done on purpose. They aren't supposed to be in love from the get go or have "sexual tension" right now, not when they both have so many problems and other priorities going on in their lives. They are both broken and have lost hope in both love and life, so of course they won't develop feelings that fast. But from today's episode, especially during the last scene, I totally felt the chemistry though, they may not be in love yet, but they are definitely developing feelings there, since they are two broken people finding comfort in each other, even if it's in such unconventional ways hahah From what I am getting, we are getting a slow burn relationship, that can even be bittersweet, and I am all for it
Wow damn, I can't believe I am obsessing over Byeon Woo Seok the same way my 2019 self was obsessing over Rowoon during Extraordinary you. This really be a Kim Hyeyoon effect, she really brings out the best in these actors hahahah
Do you guys think IS first time slip had she already fallen for SJ? I get the vibe she just wanted to save her…
Sol in the first and original "timeline" only had Idol! Sunjae's image in her head, for her, he was her savior and the person she admired, respected and adored the most, she didn't see him as someone she could get close to, only has an idol she wanted to cherish and see being happy and alive. But after she spent time with him without his idol persona, and during his high school self, she started developing feelings for him, especially after knowing how he loved her WAY BEFORE her accident.
Me this entire episode, trying to sell my soul in exchange to keep seeing SolJae being their happy selves 🥹 God please let them be happy without any more angst!
