Wow I never loved a drama so much right from the start like this one!!! The female lead is awesome as heck and as expected from Kim Hye Yoon, her acting is top-notch. The suspense to reveal the male lead was making me go crazy with curiosity too but it was so worth it. Anyway I am so looking forward to how this drama is going to unfold.
Omg I didn't notice that! It's most definitely Hyang Mi who dies then
I think Hyang Mi has "more reasons" to get murdered too, like she has an affair with that annoying man, she steals things and she owes money to someone that seems to really hate her. So there are a lot of people that are after her
Just coming here to say that today's episode killed me and i am utterly and completely in love with Dongbaek and Yongshik, but especially Yongshik because istg he is too precious for this world.
It is the same screenwriter from Strong Woman and that's the vibe I got, ridiculously funny IMO, same ingredients…
I just realized that it's the same screenwriter from Strong woman do bong soon lol, no wonder there are so many scenes that are so over-the-top. I loved Strong woman, but this drama has so many similarities to it that I hope the writer doesn't just make a Strong woman do bong soon 2.0. I do like the female, it's just that the "female lead is poor, male lead is rich" trope has been so overly used that it's kinda getting annoying. Is making both of them on the same level, socially speaking, that hard? Also the way the male lead's relationship with another person was taken seriously, while the female lead's relationship with another guy was kinda taken as a comical relief felt like lazy writing to me
Watching mostly forJi Chang Wook, but the premiere didn't impress me at all. Mostly because I am pretty tired of the "female lead is poor/always needs money and has a hard life and male lead is successful in almost everything he does" trope. Also some special effects were too over-the-top, especially that scene where Mi Ran jumps to kick Byung Shim lol like it was so exaggerated that it didn't feel funny at all, And the plot with the doctor and the reason behind the project felt a bit confusing and weird, so I hope they explain better later and come up with a logical reason.
the joker barged in that's why he was there, did you see how he was also there when hyangmi was about to sleep?…
Yeah, but how could he do that without anyone noticing him? Especially Young Sik that's just right there in front of him. He even started scratching (?) under the table with his lighter, the noise would certainly draw attention
There's something that I don't understand tho: how could Joker be on that scene when Young Sik was painting Camellia's wall, as seen on episode 4's last scene? Like, as far as we know, the only ones who were there were Young Sik, Dong Bae and Hyang Mi. I thought that the Joker could be Hyang Mi for a sec, but she isn't a regular in Camellia since she works there lol
okay, you're theory is better and actually supported but I suspect the husband of one of the market women that…
Ohhh that could be too! It's just that from the little screentime that Hong Shik got, we could see that in front of everyone he is kinda shy and reserved as well, so maybe he feels bothered by people as well, who knows
I THINK I KNOW WHO THE JOKER IS So here's my theory: 1. In episode 3 we got many hints on who the Joker may be. From the last scene we know he is a regular in Camellia, since Dongbaek offered peanuts to him. And on that scene where the landlord is complaining to Hyang Mi about never getting peanuts from her although he is a regular, Hyang Mi said that Dong Baek does give free food to her regulars, like Seung Yeob (the baseball coach) and Hong Shik (the guy who fixes her sink). So it could be one of them. 2. But from the last scene in episode 3 and 4 we can also see 2 things about the Joker: he was wearing gloves and he had flour on his shoes. And if you go into the middle of episode 3, you can see that Hong Shik (the guy who fixes Dong Baek's sink) was wearing gloves (the same ones from the last scene with the Joker and Dong Baek). Also, Hong Shik is Chan Sook's brother, the annoying lady that sells food too, hence the flour on his boots
I gotta say that I already expected to like Kang Haneul's character mostly because of the actor, but damn that last scene with him and Dongbaek on today's episode really shot an arrow in my heart. He is so precious, kind and adorable!!!!
my take was that Hyang Mi washes her hair in the sink maybe? lmao but it could just be that it hasn't been cleaned…
I have no idea either and am dying with curiosity! I think it's either a minor character that rarely gets screentime so viewers won't suspect him or it could be a woman too, or it's just some character that haven't been introduced yet XD
Did someone understand what was that scene about the guy finding something on Dong Baek's sink but Hyang Mi telling him to hush? Like, what was that?? It looked like hair or strings??
After watching episode 1 and 2 I already feel that this drama is going to be good! Not only because of how awesome Gong Hyojin and Kang Haneul are, but also because the writer is the same who wrote Fight my way, so I am very expectant. It's so heartwarming and Dong Baek is so kind but also stands for herself and is strong, so already love her character. And Yong Shik is such a big dork in love its totally adorable lol The only thing that bothered me a bit is how Yong Shik started following Dong Baek around and asking her to tell him her secrets and stuff lol it felt a bit weird and a little too much. But when he asked her to be his friend I got totally sold. That scene was truly adorable. Anyway, I have high expectations for this drama and the thriller part is making me super curious how it's gonna unfold. The show is trying to make it look so obvious that it could be Dong Baek that it's most likely not her lol
Ahhhh I can't believe it's over! I am gonna miss this drama so much :( Tbh I actually liked the kind-of-an-open-ending for Tammy and Morgan's relationship. It was very realistic considering how complex their relationship is. They really love and can't live without each other, and as painful as being together may be, being apart is even more painful (as shown in the latest episodes). It's not a perfect ending because they aren't perfect, and that's why I really liked it. I don't really have to comment about Scarlett and Ji Hwan since they are the cutest couple ever and probably the only one that got a "happy" ending lol As much as I wanted to see Ga Kyung and Jin Woo getting together and working things out, I guess their ending made sense too, since they do need some time to themselves, especially Ga Kyung. But I still got sad when Jin Woo said he would just go for an unrequited love :( The only thing that I really wished to see tho, was more backstory for Tammy and Ga Kyung's friendship and how they would rekindle their friendship. Like, how did they meet, became friends, and how they would work things out between them in the end. By the end of episode 16 I still thought there was some bad blood between them :/
