I'd like to read details about why and what is considered racist, misogynistic blah blah. These are just buzzwords.…
You can search up details about why its problematic. But its mostly known for being racist because if im not wrong the webtoon has clearly used slurs in it.
may i know where can we watch this movie for international viewers . Is the movie released in theatre or in streaming…
It will release in theatres for international countries. It depends where you are, you should search up the release dates. Its all the way throughout August and September.
For streaming platforms, I'm not quite sure but I'd assume it would be on Iqiyi cuz they themselves produced it.
Oh my gosh...my eyes were all over the screen...the action and choreograph is genuinely chef kiss!! Kept me on edge with all the action. The pacing of the movie is perfect for me. Love the overall production and even the casts because those stunts are insane...! Can I talk about Tony Leung? He was SO ATTRACTIVE in this movie I was fighting the urge to SCREAMM like sir?????? If he stole all my crypto money I wouldn't even report it, steal all you want sir. Don't know how to cash it out? I'll teach you step by step. 😍 The story is your typical police vs the bad guys but oh the backstory and dynamic of the villains is so complicated and intriguing. I assume there would be 2nd part to this movie judging by the ending so I hope they'll dive deeper into the backstory of them. I really liked the father and son dynamic of Tony Leung and the other casts.
Really proud and grateful that Jun got a role with these legends, his stunts are amazing and I still can't believe he got a full fight scene with Jackie Chan!! I hope someday he gets a role as a main villain because goshhh he really needs one!
Not sure why but for some reason the movie is dubbed in Cantonese instead of leaving it as Mandarin for Malaysia's release. It probably isn't a big deal for some people but the audio was just too off for me and it drove me crazy 😂 I hope it will stream on Netflix or Iqiyi cuz I really need to watch the movie again
Update 19/8: Regarding the dubbing, I've found out that it will release it both Cantonese dub and Original Mandarin. So if you wanna watch dub or not, be sure to check the stated movie details at your local theatre :-))
Update 31/8 This is a very late update but ive found out the entire story regarding the dubbing now. The movie is originally Mandarin. Before the movie was released in theaters, it was actually pre-released in mainland china ( if you paid for it ). It did extremely well but had popular demand for a Cantonese version = which is how we have Cantonese dubbing and Original Mandarin. Regarding both of these versions, ive noticed that not both will be released regarding your region. For example, in Malaysia's release, they released the Cantonese version only. But in the US, it was only the Mandarin version. I think what version you get released in your country leans heavily demographically, as in which version they suspect will do better in your country. I believe Malaysia got the Cantonese version because majority of Chinese people here are Cantonese speakers and it was to appeal to them ( and it definitely appealed them. positive feedbacks ).
Nonetheless, dubbing or not. Its still an amazing movie. Highly recommend if you love action movies and want something to get you on the edge of your seat the whole time. And for my villain lovers, this one's for you too. The villains were a whole visual feast!
what's your take on Baek Jin and Baku?Saw some comments on thread that they were disappointed at Ryeoun casted…
True, Baku did look really old and didn't fit the school appearance but so are the other side characters tbh. I didn't mind genuinely because it's quite common in the industry already. For Baekjin's, same statement but hes genuinely so pretty for me lol so I don't mind looking at him. I do wish we could get a backstory for them.
Why are you trying to correct me on that? The twists are predictable but they're still crazy nonetheless. No need to push into making me change my opinion.
The twists are crazy!! The way all their story connects is actually amazing...Would be a 10 but there was some slow burn which I'm not a big fan of ( and to which most people say made it boring ). But I'm glad they didn't make it 8 or 16 eps and just settled for a nice 6 episodes.
I have never wanted to beat up someone this badly. Okay i sympathize with beom seok's situation but people like him be blaming everyone for their own suffering AND at the same time think they are the only one suffering in the world. Nevertheless, half of the conflict between him and suho could've been avoided if they JUST communicated. Communication and trust is key!!!!!
