I'm not an adoptee myself and can't speak for anyone who has been adopted, but I did not feel good about that first scene with Mi Jo's bio mom. The narrative they decided to go with was pretty dark/unnecessary and it paints a really bad photo for mothers who may have not had a choice in giving up their babies. It felt like they were villainizing mothers who give up their children.
I guess I'm going to finish this drama since we have one more week, but I'm kind of over how Mijo is basically the hero and can't ever do anything wrong in this story.
History is Grandpa adopted Sunghoon from the orphanage to be a friend and brother of lonely Taemu. I love their…
I wonder if they'll go more into that because in the show they've only shown hints of it, but I'm guessing there's more to it either in the webtoon or books
When I read the description of this drama, I thought "mehhhhh sounds boring and typical" but I am having the time of my life with this one. I'm laughing at almost every scene and could rewatch these episodes. SO good
This is the ULTIMATE romantic comedy. Something about it feels so natural and organic. I mean, I could point out where it's set up or forced, but even the forced aspects of it are working for me haha I love it so much. That ending......
Am I the only one totally not stressed out about the ending/how the future turns out? π If it weren't such…
I'm also not thinking too deep about it. I'm just going with what they give me, not reading any end game theories and just enjoying what I see. I'm not even speculating that much. The content they're giving me is so much haha I don't think my brain can handle ruminating about the future
I am torn about this. I'll keep watching it since I'm curious where things will go, BUT it doesn't live up to the hype. It's a bit disappointing with the plot and even character development. Do we need Seon-u's sister? I feel like she's there just to bond Seon-u and Mi-jo. There's a lot of filler stuff going on. I don't HATE it and there are worse dramas out there... it's not exceptional though.
Honestly I am super annoyed by the lack screen time of all the three girls together. The drama is supposed to…
Yep! I feel the same. I really don't care for Mijo-Seonwoo. We don't really need it. This isa time for the three of them to come together.... if by ep 5 & 6 it's still focused on those two, I don't know if I'll keep going. Kind of frustrating.
One major thing that's bothering me about this drama is how much they've airbrushed the women's faces. Like when Mi Jo is next to Seon U - his face isn't airbrushed, but Mi Jo's face is basically a BLUR. Chan Yeong's face too. It feels too fake.
I don't watch any previews so I have no idea what to expect, but ep 14 left me quite sad.
