Amazingly only half! The 90s ones might be hard to find.
So far I've been able to find 9/10 with English subtitles. I've been looking for Ie Naki Ko, but it's possible that it never got subbed. DM me if you're having trouble locating any of them!
Haven't watched 101st prop, under one roof and Ie naki Ko. Only saw few minutes of few episodes of Beautiful Life…
I was surprised with the Hanzawa Naoki ratings too! But for me Kaseifu no Mita's ratings were the most surprising, since I had never heard of that drama before doing this article. Thanks for reading!
Ive watched only 2 of the dramas mentioned, Hanzawa Naoki and Kaseifu no Mita. I cant thoroughly understand the…
Yeah not every genre is for everyone! I've never been able to get into medical dramas even though I've tried to watch probably 5-6 different ones. Everyone has their thing! Thanks for reading :D
Wow, Takuya Kimura was . . . everywhere. I've watched seven out of ten, and of the three dramas that I have yet…
I guess the fact that Hanzawa Naoki had such high ratings despite less TV watchers is a testament to how good it is! Or at least how it was able to hit a societal nerve and really become a drama phenomena. And you're very welcome! I also hope people will check out some older dramas. I think many newer fans avoid 90s and early 2000s dramas because they're "old," but so many great gems aired during that time! You're the first person I know who has watched Ie Naki Ko! I'm glad to hear it was enjoyable!
Can def understand why Hanzawa Naoki is number 1. Pretty sure the avg. salary-man wishes he had the courage to…
I agree, I think a Hanzawa Naoki was the right drama at the right time, and a sequel might not do as well. That being said, I wonder if there really will be a remake? It's been "in the works" since the first one ended like 6 years ago. If it actually does happen I'll be really surprised! And yeah Kimura is the king of ratings. His dramas still do well! Not as high as these ratings of course but always in the high teens. His last drama BG (2018) hit 17.3%
Thank you so much for writing this article, i always have wanted this request! I think you also forgot to give…
You're welcome! And your English is fine don't worry! Actually I had already written the article and submitted it for editing prior to seeing your post in the forums. This was was inspired by a similar article on Joshi Spa from September 2018 which I have linked in the introduction. Thanks for reading!
Should we try to binge them all before Heisei ends? We've got 44 days! :D
Haha it's impossible for me too don't worry! Maybe only if I became a hermit and never left the house or slept for a month! We'll get to them all eventually :D
It's a really busy time of year for me but hopefully I'll have time to write a new article soon!
DM me if you're having trouble locating any of them!
