Episode 8 :/ The first episode of this drama that I didn't really like I get that they needed a convenient reason to take Yamashita out of the love square, but it felt SO contrived. So he's going back to his unhappy/loveless marriage to take over the political legacy of his corrupt father-in-law (how does that even work if fil is corrupt?), but for what? All this in "exchange" for letting Yuri's dad off the hook even though we've have absolutely no reason to care about Yuri's dad till this episode. Oh Yamashita, you poor noble idiot.
In the meantime, I've switched loyalties to team Masashi even though I'm pretty sure his chances are slim to none. Hope he gets some sort of happy ending anyway!
Gochi is a year long variety program so it will be filming until December! They started filming this after the start of Gochi. Apparently after meeting doing Gochi she signed onto the project so it's been a few months. Shooting a special like this only take a week or two tops so it would be totally possible!
