I really liked the first episode!
I can't decide which guy I want to root for... I feel like the cousin is kinda awkward and doomed to get cousin-zoned, and while Yuri is the obvious male lead I'm kinda meh because I feel like the last thing Junko needs is a really young boyfriend. So maybe I need to root for the teacher by default haha
Can't wait for the next episode~

One thing I LOVE about this drama is the sheer number of really interesting and unique female characters (even the minor ones). Too often romance dramas can fall into the black or white/good or evil type mentality with female characters but man CN really subverted that with a whole slew of really complex, well-written women. It was just so refreshing!

I saw this was on Netflix and considered watching it, but I dislike reality tv because of how scripted it is.…
I think it's very difficult to find TV that's 100% script free (mainly because networks can't risk having things go completely off the rails or be too boring to air), but Terrace House is definitely significantly less scripted than probably 100% percent of the reality TV I've watched! I think there are definitely some housemates who will play up a certain personality to the camera, but I feel like that's inevitable when you put people on a popular TV show. It does not feel fake/staged, so I think you will like it! If you do decide to give it a chance, let me know what you think! :D

I watched Boys and Girls in the City and I loved it but I started Aloha State and I thought the first episodes…
Aloha State does get better. I also found that the first half lagged a lot, but the second half is completely crazy, almost like a different show! However, if you're really not feeling it I would suggest watching Opening New Doors, it's much more similar to B&GitC in terms of general vibe/members etc!

It's a great alternative to those cancerous reality shows on tv.
It's definitely different from American reality TV that's for sure!
