Once you get past the absurd premise, the movie's not bad. BUT (and it's a big but) it was a confusing movie and it was pretty much impossible to understand the motivations of the characters. I actually really liked the beginning but then the plot started moving way too fast only to come to a screeching halt and fizzle out. There were cute moments though and, since I love Tao and I thought she did great here, I gave it a 7.5.
Wow I LOVED it!! As always, Tsuchiya Tao is so incredibly charming and Ryota... well there's no denying he's crazy handsome! The movie was just as good as the drama in my opinion but with even better romance. Definitely worth the almost year-long wait <3
A bit disappointed but not surprised by these results. I was hoping for more variety since many diverse dramas were nominated, but I should have guessed that this year's most aggressively overrated drama would sweep seven awards :/
In the end, it all comes down to the fact that people aren't watching a lot of jdrama anymore, whether due to lack of subbing or just lack of interest. Most casual fans only watch one or two jdramas the whole year and then power-vote them in these polls, just like last year with Suki na Hito and now this year. Hopefully jdrama will gain more popularity in 2018!

Shion is definitely my favourite so far! Handsome and a genuinely good personality!! Doesn't get much more TH crush-worthy than that! <3 I agree with you about Ami. Not really sure why people seem to dislike her so much since every season has a person like her. She's a typical Terrace House "my pace" model, pretty much Minori 2.0. I don't blame her for being confused about Yuudai either since he sends her mixed signals all over the place. Wish Nakamura would make his move because imo he would be better for her than Yuudai but Nakamura is so awkward! He really is like a dorky dad. Mizuki is kind of... interesting to me. I feel like she's the member we know the least about., so I'm wondering if she'll have a secret crazy streak since so far the group is really tame. Either the next new member will have a serious attitude or someone will unleash a bad personality (maybe Yuudai?). This is Terrace House after all.

Originally I had: Carnation, Amachan, Hiyokko, Mare, Warotenka, Teruteru Kazoku, Gegege no Nobyo, Gochisousan, Massan, Sakura, Beppinsan, Dondo Hare, Ohisama, Hanako to Anne, Teppan, Asa ga Kita, Umechan sensei, Totonee chan, and Welkame. Some of them are older and don't have subs, but most of them do! Good luck!

You're welcome! I'm also a very slow watcher, but Asadoras are very well suited to our pace since they're not meant to be rushed! When I watched Hiyokko while it was airing I did the one episode a day for 6 months which was very low commitment! There are lots of options for how to watch an Asadora, so don't be discouraged! Hope you will give them a chance again! :D
