Somehow, knowing they're living an apocalypse and they're surrounded by danger all the time made that NC scene even more powerful and profound to me. It felt like a mixture of despair and fear of what lies ahead, but also trust in one another and a growing love

Not all ! If I'm not mistaken, the overall background music used isn't AI, as I've heard some of them in other series in the past (before AI was everywhere lol). But I read here that the music composed for the series was AI generated, so I guess the tracks that aren't on streaming platforms yet might have been generated. I don't have any confirmation other than what I've read in the comments below, but since there's AI in the series, I wouldn't be surprised :(

At the end of ep 4 we can see A Lie kidnapped Lin Zai, and that's because he found out, thanks to his watch, that Lin Zai is immune. We can see A Lie use his watch to determine wether someone is immune or not during different scenes since the 1st episode. We don't know yet who exactly created this device but we can imagine there is a whole pharmaceutical and medical team trying to find a solution against the apocalypse and that's probably where A Lie is taking Lin Zai
it's going to be heartbreaking when James finds out that Ken is trying to kill himself and that that's the whole point of the investigation for him in the first place 🥲

Imagine spending your whole life trying to figure out how to die, being on the verge of finding a solution thanks to the murder cases you’re working on, and suddenly a colleague becomes important enough to wreck all your plans. Ironically enough, figuring out how to die was his only reason for living, but now he might not want to die anymore? Add to that the fact that Ken is himself a Nour and that he’ll have to reveal this to James if they end up in a long-term relationship, and you have the perfect scenario for why it was easier for Ken to cut ties with James rather than rush headlong into something he couldn’t control.
the story got a bit boring, at that point i'm only here for Maxky fun acting and the angsty messy relationship between Ten and Jack, but it's enough to keep me hooked lol

oh and i really loved Wen Dao's (the director) note at the very end, what a beautiful and heartfelt message. I know China is becoming bolder and bolder with BLs, but let's not forget where we come from. I truly believe that series like Deep In, actors like Ollie and Shu Yuan and directors like Wen Dao can somewhat help change lgbtq+ representation in China for the better
The screen ratio during Fang Chi and Gao Zhun last kiss scene was the one they use for their real life and not the one they usually use to show it's the series, meaning this last kiss was Zhen Xin and Zhang Zhun showing their real feelings, their real last kiss after their breakup. I was bawling my eyes out
