fnished this one last night and i feel i was kinda left on a cliffhanger bc the eps were so short! they could have added about 2 more eps to show how they coped with the 3 year time apart and konno coming home at the end to be with hayakawa after his time in america bc i felt that we just got them back together and 1 day later, you tore them apart for a LDR 😮‍💨💔

Nope, I was already spoiled on the series a day after it was released since it was everywhere on my tl on Twitter and FB lol. Also, the ending tied almost all loose ends from season 1 to 3 with how they gave everyone alive basically a happy ending: Saebyeok's brother reuniting with his mom who escaped North Korea; Kang Noeul going to see her daughter after saving the painter's life and indirectly his kid as well, the front man leaving Junhee's baby to Junho who he knows can and will take care of the baby with that prize money, and somehow having a heart to go to the USA and give Gihun's leftover money to his daughter and his Squid Game jersey with blood still on it so she can have a clue on how he died, and informing her that he has passed away so she can somehow get closure on why his dad hasn't contacted her at least. Yes, it would have been nice if Gihun lived at the end but not everything has to be a happy ending to be a good and sensible ending. I also reckon that if he lived, then he would go back to the same cycle of being racked with guilt because of those who died in the games that he didn't get to save and those who he killed. Anyways, a thing I'm only pissed about is how they killed off Hyunju so early and kinda anticlimactically. She deserved more since she has always been good and only wanted a better life where her identity could be accepted and she could transition in another country like Thailand.

havent finished watching yet as of writing but i do think that gihun is a really good guy at the core even if he may have his flaws as a father before and getting into debt from gambling since he could have simply took the money and used it for himself and his family but he couldn't stomach the fact that it is technically blood money or something he got from people getting killed which is what a normal and morally right human would do

upon finishing the latest ep i saw that chi cheng hesitated touching wu suo wei when he was asleep bc he remembered what he said about it being a physical relationship only if he tries to force him to sleep with him so yeah i hope what you're saying is right
