Was it just me or was Wu Chen Xu, who played Ning Fang, a little... stiff in his acting? I've never watched him in a drama before, so I have nothing to compare it against, and of all the things that could have frustrated me in this drama, that stood out the most! 😅

I honestly agree with you about Woo Yeo not having enough character development. I would have loved to see him develop more WHILE he was a fox (making Dam his only turning point) instead of solely relying on him transforming into a human as his turning point. As another fan said, “Without that character development, he wouldn't have been able to transform”, and they're so right, but for me, that only highlights how much more the writers missed the mark for Woo Yeo’s character. He simply didn’t do enough as a fox to warrant the transformation, besides the last minute “white truck of doom" scenario where he sacrificed his life for her, and that took all of 5/10 minutes. The entire cast for this drama was incredible with what they were given, and Dam was an exceptional female lead. I do have major issues with plot holes and redundant storylines, but that falls on the writers and how they chose to tell this version of the story.

Also this comment under the final episode has been haunting me since I finished watching this drama, I actually can't stop thinking about it: "At the end, when they rode their bikes to campus, and later at Goon Jo's restaurant opening, Seoung Jo was still partnering with He Ra, she was even holding his arm as if she was his partner. Never once did he show respect to his wife and ask He Ra to stop, he allowed it. Goon Jo even asked Seung Jo for his wife and made a statement about them still being together, that is Seung Jo and He Ra. I've come to the conclusion Seung Jo's marriage to Ha Ni was to pacify all the parents and provide grandbabies for them. He'll continue to have a "relationship" with He Ra, she's the one in reality who provides him with the intellectual and emotional stimulation he so desperately needs. He's able to have in depth conversations and even shares his feelings and thoughts with her, which he does not have with his now wife Ha Ni."

Title Playful Kiss Spoiler
I expected more from the last two or so episodes to be honest. I really wish the ML (Baek Seung Jo) would have developed more in the way he treated people (even Bong Joon Gu, the SML, had more development than him), and his relationship with He Ra after he got married was kind of weird for me. All of that aside, it was light and fluffy, not the best drama, BUT I understand when this was written when this was aired and when I watched it, are three completely different worlds/eras, haha!!

Yes dramafoxx the writing is a hot mess. I am dropping. These poor actors.
IKR!!! Lee Min Ki and Nana are doing the best they can with what they've been given, but it feels like such a waste!! :(

From episode 9 it felt like a completely different drama for me
YES!!! And some of the characters changed traits too, but not in a character development kind of way!!

I believe it is... I think we all started this show for cohabitation shenanigans and we're getting a relationship…
Exactly! There's too much happening and they're rushing the good elements to include it all... :/
