I started watching this thinking it was completed and I panicked when I got to ep10... I was about to really get…
however I'll still ask, how the hell did Donghee lose that much weight in such a short time in ep10 ?? I thought there was a time jump but no ? and I know she's been gradually loosing since the beginning, but it was just so sudden I was confused
This was really better than I thought ! But the only thing that triggered me, is how did Eunyu expect her 18yo mom to fall in love with another guy if she (Eunyu) is the one "falling in love" and not her actuel 18yo mother who is in the usa ? 😂 idk if that makes sense but I kept thinking about this during her whole strategy thing lmao
I saw someone on twitter pointing out how there isn't any PP and ngl I think it makes a whole difference ! (they finally decided to use their PP budget for this series lmao)
I think I wanted to watch this because I liked the preview and the initial plot, but tbh I keep skipping almost every scene... a basic story is ok for me, but at least give it more action/tension/humor or just anything to spice it up 😞
Wait a minute I'm confused... is the concept of this "epilogue" series to bring them in an alternative story ? I can't really tell yet since Bad buddy and MSP sequels haven't come out yet, and I don't know about the other couples except from NLMG
Ngl I only watched Heart & Li Ming's story... and it was worth it. I still got the main story, but at first I didn't want to watch it and the main couple wasn't really it for me... But then I watched My school president and I fell for GeminiFourth. There's something so natural about them together idk, and their story in Moonlight Chicken is really beautiful
I know it's a "detail" but somehow it really stresses me out how Alex went to 18 to acting like a 28 yo, only to go back to being 18 but with a 28 yo behavior... and then go back to being 28 in a flash 😂 I know it could be an ellipse but when characters skip 10 years of their life it's so frustrating lol
Seriously on all the thai bl I've watched, none of them made sense, but weirdly when it's a toxic relationship…
Like you said, we have different criterias which are all valid, and tbh I'd rather see more comments like this, than people screaming at each other because they don't agree. That's actually why it was annoying to me to read the comments at first.
Seing you list all of those plot holes really made me realize that I might be so used to incoherent stories, that I just stopped caring so much. I think as long as I don't feel lost in the story and I can still feel smth towards the story, I don't actually mind. When I think about it, I actually watch for the general vibe. And it's funny bc even though I say that, I still notice a lot of nonsense details, that don't really matter anyway (like that time Kinn and Porsche managed to undress fully while being cuffed ??)
Also it's funny because I didn't think NLMG took itself that seriously, idk why. But in the end I get your point anyway.
Now I just hope they won't end it on some traumatizing bad ending.

Yes, I think there's a way to portray bad behaviors, so that's why I personally focus more on the moral and psychologic parts than the acting part (and I agree that it doesn't always end up making sense)
I'm still new to the Thai BL dramas so I have very few options to compare them to each other, but for NLMG I was mainly thinking of KinnPorsche for some reason. Like, to me, KP's story didn't make sense either, and there were bad behaviors that passed as "romance", but in the end people still thought it was amazing (from what I've seen).... probably bc of good acting and production. So that's why I was so surprised by the reactions to NLMG.
As for murder, that's smth else, I haven't seen He's Coming to Me, but apparently in every country and their dramas, murder can be forgiven with words 😅...

In this comment I was talking about toxic actions, not relationships, but what I was trying to say is : because the production is great and the actors are great , doesn't mean a scenario is acceptable. I understand realistic relationships that are not perfect, but imo when smth bad happens I prefer when it's adressed. If they're trying to glamourize wrong behaviors, and make it pretty just because the actors are good then it's a no for me.
Like the other person said, we all have different expectations with dramas, and those are mine that's all.

I've lost the track here (so I'm replying there bc I found your reply interesting) but honestly as a long Kdrama fan, I just started Thai BLs this year and I can see how the scenarios don't work a lot of the time, but in my own opinion I'd rather have plot holes, mid good acting and a basic MLs relationship, rather than good production but with toxic actions turned romantic... and I have 2 "popular" titles in mind
I completely agree that every one has different expectations, but tbh now I mainly read BL comments on IG or Tiktok, so my point was just that the MDL comment section didn't pass the same vibe 😅 I think the BL world still has to work on a lot of things tbh, and to me NLMG is a good example that it's improving so I was genuinely surprised at the reactions
2nd couple definitely needed more closure but because of the issue they had I felt that it would end either like it did of with a jump in time 😩
Also, Kim Sunghyun is handsome, but I could not NOT focus on his haircut 😂😂

but damn the way their hair grew made them look so good 🤩 (I mean even better)
