What Sou has is sensorineural hearing loss. Congenital SNHL (deaf from birth) is more common, but in Sou's case it is possible due to certain genetic factors (types of gene mutations) that a young person could have delayed onset, progressive hearing loss. We know it wasn't caused by any accident, so it's more than likely genetic. His type of hearing loss is:
- sensorineural (pertaining to the inner ears [cochlea, auditory nerve]) - likely genetic (caused by gene mutations rather than trauma, diseases, loud noises, etc.) - delayed onset (he lost his hearing sometime after birth) - progressive (it gradually got worse over time) - bilateral (in both ears) - post-lingual (happened after he learned to speak)
Hope this helped clear some things up! His hearing loss, as far as we know, simply started happening one day and wasn't caused by any disease. The way I outlined above is a likely possibility as to how he stopped hearing. I wonder if they'll explain his diagnosis any further in the final episodes, because it would be very interesting to confirm...
I found this drama recently, binged it, and now I'm waiting in agony for the next episode.... why couldn't I have found it in early January or something...
Perfect timing for this article, as I was just delving into the world of Lee Soo Hyuk and his tasty (sorry I just watched a show where he was a vampire lol) voice earlier today
I just finished episode 2 and I'm liking it so far! I know this show got a season 2, which makes me worry that…
I'm only on episode 4 but I'm quite sure the leads end up together. People said the ending felt a little rushed though. I think the main couple has an argument towards the end and it doesn't get fully resolved until the last minute or something.
I just watched the last ep and I did not see that coming, I was so sure that the one who wrote all the post were…
I thought it was Cha Minho, but then I thought for sure it was Bang Yi Dam. Just like you, I was thinking of the blue bracelets, and I remembered that both of them took one. Gil Mok Jin as far as I know didn't have a blue bracelet? But oh well. Kept us guessing until the end.
Ew. Okay, Moon Joon's nasty. I already disliked the way he lied to his father about MinHo's app and achievements being his, and now we find out he has a GIRLFRIEND?! WHY WOULD HE LEAD JOO AH ON IF HE HAD A GIRLFRIEND?! HE KISSED HER, FOR GOODNESS SAKE!
You know what's pissing me off? I keep hearing how amazing "Maple Latte" is, I keep hearing snippets of the song throughout the drama and YET IT ISN'T ON ANY STREAMING PLATFORM! Why hasn't it been released yet??? WHYYYY π π π π
Naaww there's no way she doesn't remember who he is! She's totally just trying to get rid of her love for him and focus on being the Goddess and all. She thinks the best way of doing that is cutting him off. But I got some news for her---- you can't control when you love, just as much as you can't control WHO you love.
One website said this: "Although the 2022 ban may slow the production of new TV shows and films, it is unlikely to scrub the genre altogether. As with past regulations targeting the depiction of same-sex relationships in Chinese media, gay elements will likely be further downplayed as bromance or friendship."
So, if we do get any bromance dramas at all (which, I don't think we will right now because things are still cooling down from the crackdown/ban on those dramas) then they'll likely be even more censored than before. I honestly don't think we'll even get any until at least 2023.
between Immortality, Winner is King, Eternal Faith. i really want to watch EF first π±π± JS AIR EF ASAP.
The skeptic in me says we'll probably never get to see ANY of them since China pretty much banned bromance dramas from airing. But maybe I'm just saying that so I won't get disappointed-- only pleasantly surprised-- if they actually do air.
