Okay I can't speak for the rest of the series, but episode one was REALLY refreshing. Like, one of the best BL episodes I've watched in a while. I loved the dynamics between the characters, very natural and amiable. No crazy scenarios, no jealousy, no over-acting, it was just great.
Just started this. It's very cute. I just noticed all the actors are from Gen Y. Ryu was Pha in the last episode…
*cough* I'm glad someone thought the same as me while watching Gen Y's ending. But yeah, weirdly enough-- and idk if it's because I'm used to seeing his face now and not just his body-- I actually find him better looking in this show.
Okay I'm not even gonna lie, the last 10 episodes were my absolute favourite out of the entire series so far. It was so amazing watching all the pieces of the puzzle finally come together. That's something that this drama did really well.
Oh you just wait. It only gets worse. I just finished episode 47 and he's one of my most hated of all time cdrama…
Yup, his last words were basically: It's all Si Feng's fault. Now, promise me you'll destroy yourself.
Of course it's something he'd do but it made me so mad--- he's not even DEAD it was just his human body that died--- and yet with his dying breath he successfully turned Xuan Ji against Si Feng (again) and poisoned her mind into thinking that she should try and destroy the Jade Cup no matter what. And um, she literally can't destroy the Jade Cup without destroying herself.
I don't know what that guy's deal is. First he wants to protect Xuan Ji, then he wants to destroy her. And I didn't exactly like his method of "protecting" either, which simply consisted of him trying to stop her from regaining her memories, and him trying to split Xuan Ji and Si Feng up. This dude always says "I'm doing it to protect the three realms," "the safety of the three realms is important," yadayada, whatever, but it's all nonsense. All he cares about is himself and his crazy obsession with ridding the world of demons--- which doesn't make sense either. Doesn't the term "three realms" refer to humans, demons, and the heavens? uggghhhhh
I agree 100% with the elders thing. As for the FL, it's not that she doesn't feel emotions, but more like she…
Honestly, I don't blame you for not being able to continue. At this point, I'm just looking forward to everything being resolved. And FINALLY, it's happening (step by step). So I've been enjoying the most recent episodes because of that. I did enjoy the power switch in this drama where the FL is technically more powerful than the ML. However, power gets you nowhere if you can't even see what's in front of you.
Anyway, I'm on the final stretch with 9 more eps to go-- thanks for the well wishes! I hope you find a drama worth watching that you really enjoy. I watched Ancient Love Poetry before this one and it wasn't nearly as infuriating. I also didn't hate the FL because she was much more level-headed and rational than the one in this drama.
So far in the first 4 episodes they brought out all the cdrama cliches:- Elders that are useless and dumb ✔️-…
I agree 100% with the elders thing. As for the FL, it's not that she doesn't feel emotions, but more like she doesn't have the ability to understand them (yet). The ML seems cold in the first couple of episodes but eventually you realize he's the exact opposite. In fact, I'm on episode 48 and I'm seriously pissed off at how much the male lead has suffered just to protect the FL. At this point? She doesn't deserve him. Also, a man like that wouldn't exist in real life, because common sense exists outside of cdrama land.
