Ahhh I'm very scared. I hope they can correct the plot and salvage the drama before more sponsors pull out. Ultimately the actions of the sponsors will determine the fate of the drama, like Joseon Exorcist.
As much as anyone else, I don't want the plot to be about the controversy in the comments. But let's hold out hope that the rumored synopsis is either false or has been changed by the writers, since it has not been confirmed yet by any source that Jung Hae In's character is a North Korean spy. I'm definitely very very concerned, but it is also a bit early to make assumptions about the plot when we don't know much yet.
https://n.news.naver.com/entertain/article/609/0000418436Possible that first broadcast will be during june and…
Not likely, that article is probably guessing since its main focus is the controversy anyway. Wed-Thurs June is already confirmed to be Monthly House, and Nevertheless has had several articles stating it'll be in June Fri-Sat as well.
I feel very very bad for the people who put so much effort into this drama. Plus it makes me very concerned for other upcoming dramas as well that may face similar criticism. It is important to remember though that Korea and other Asian countries really do have a very complex and tense relationship with China and the issue is not as easy to understand as international fans who are not Korean.
Tbh I'm not as scared about the hate and the fights between fans of Jisoo and Kdrama fans. What is most concerning is that Koreans and knetz have been expressing concerns about the plot and that it will face bigger controversy and will be at risk of cancellation, like Joseon Exorcist right now. Some are even already calling for its cancellation. I hope JTBC provides clarification on the plot or that it's different from the synopsis going around right now.
its still possible because i think itaewon class also aired on netflix at the time it was airing and it was a…
That was before they revived their Wed/Thurs slot...but hopefully they realize this has really big international potential and still air it on Netflix at the same time
If Snowdrop is Wed/Thurs or Fri/Sat, it looks like it will be June at the earliest because of Law School (confirmed) and Undercover (teasers should drop soon so we will know for sure soon - very slight chance Snowdrop actually takes this slot) in April. If it were to be Mon/Tues, then that's probably either May or July, but seems unlikely. The scenario we all don't want is that there are another set of dramas before it, which would make it some time in August.
Reports have said 2nd half of 2021...no more specific date is known. Netflix originals can take quite a while in postproduction assuming they are high budget and will have a lot of special effects.
A bit weird though since the drama before, I Know But just had their script reading and probably only recently started filming
Wed-Thurs dramas are also aired on Netflix
