Loved this! FL is badass, ML is an adorable puppy for her, the villains keep plotting (and failing) and a good time is had by all.

Btw, apparently clapping is somehow offensive now so everyone looks pathetic slapping their hands together without making any sound. The lack of sound design and missing BGM in several scenes is 70% of the reason why this drama appears so cheap imo.

Have watched two of this couple’s subbed dramas now (by the same director no less) and find their dynamic so intriguing. They were like “we’re done with wallflower heroines with squeaky voices! let’s make a drama were the FL is the dominant one!” And then ”oh we might’ve gone overboard, let’s switch the roles in the second drama… oops! we did it again!”

I guess it’s hard to not tie yourself up and let her climb on top of you when your FL is played by QXX

Such a fun ride! Especially considering how low budget it is. The plot wasn’t very deep but exciting enough. The FL is so very beautiful and expressive (ML very wooden though lol).

Also, this drama has one of the most sensual scenes ever, without actually being explicit. Good job drama!

Edward Zhang is one charismatic actor. Idk who he has angered that he never gets proper ML roles. Pity :(

I just skimmed through parts of it and like the banter and their fun chemistry. Wish they could do this whole drama with same leads but better production.

Bokgyu taking offense at Haeyeong not offering enough money for him to gtfo out of Jayeon’s life made me chuckle. Brilliant delivery!

Also, the whole freezer/fridge thing was so dumb bc food won’t get destroyed overnight like that, especially since they were ~*~busy~*~ and clearly didn’t even open them. It wouldn’t be irritating if they didn’t make a whole plot point around it.

Mwahahaha the taking out the battery was so dramatic too while the viewers sat there like “just decline or block..?”

He’s very promising as an actor so looking fwd to whatever he does; good kisses included or not. Baby is so young :3

The way they butcher some of these dramas man. Have you seen Unchained Love? They managed to decimate entire plot points in their enthusiastic fervor to cut unsightly kisses between a concubine and a eunuch cucking the emperor.
PS. Not that it means anything but wasn’t WXY 18-19 yo when filming this?

I found it weird that they seem to have cut the kiss they show in the DARN TITLE SEQUENCE. It’s clearly shown right before the start of every episode but in the actual scene with the lanterns: nothing! Why would you do that?!

If you came here for more Duke Su/WXY after The Double you’ll be disappointed bc this isn’t that kind of drama lol.

On ep 6 and so far so good. The drama is so unserious and I love it for that. I’ll give it a full 10/10 if they keep the silliness up but alas. Expecting stupid stuff to happen and all kinds of unnecessary shit to hit the fan bc what kind of cdrama would it be otherwise?

I’ve watched entire kdramas that I have no recollection of so can’t even blame it on the tiktokdrama-format 😭
