There was a whole blog post analyzing its toxicity out on the internet but I think it’s a question about how you approach it and what you expect from it. This is a live action josei manga, basically a female wish fulfillment story. It’s a fantasy and not to taken as a realistic plot. But the critics focus on how he takes the lead, tries to control her azatoi personality, keeps their relationship secret just to tease her and forces her to change her social media behaviour, etc. All very realistic problems that are presented in a different context here.

Maybe it’s because he’s usually so understanding and accommodating but with the ring he was just “you’re worried about the ring? Whatever, take off my clothes!” He didn’t see it from her perspective as she had come to expect from him and their marriage.

Isn’t it a reference to Clara from Heidi? Who’s sitting in a wheel chair and finally stands up at the end?

Started watching this and cringing so hard at every turn. I really like Ishihara Satomi and have a big soft spot for Yamapi but this is so dumb. He basically forces himself into her life, everyone stomps all over her will and they keep guilting her into stuff and it’s just so stupid. But can’t stop watching, will see how it’ll end. ETA: dropped at ep 7 :(

I've only watched 1997 of the Reply series, probably for a reason lol. It felt good while watching but left a bad aftertaste; didn't really get the hype aside from the pop culture references. And I loved Live. You seem to be on your way to cracking the code on how I should choose dramas to watch :D

I dont't know whether I just watched it at the right time or if it's really that good but I love Tiger & Dragon, it's just a perfect little drama. The plot and editing is so ingenious with lots of stories within stories that seem random at first that then make total sense. Hilarious, wacky, heartfelt, weird, all of it, all at once! Obligatory jdrama viewing.

PS. Be sure to watch the special first. It's basically episode 0.

sounds weird as hell and I don't like infidelity stories but that cast!!

He has impeccable comedic timing!

I like it up to now but feel that the lighter comedy scenes are hit or miss (mostly miss for me) while the heavier scenes are very well done and mostly relatable. I usually enjoy romcoms but some of the com parts here feels forced.

For the leads: PSH is super good in the more serious scenes while PHS is all around awesome.

I’m not sure about the other stuff but the necklace was just something Son Sukku’s stylist brought because he wanted something expensive looking for the character, as he reveals in an interview. So not intentionally planned by the drama makers.

She refuses to let him drive her home, backtracks when she realizes he might’ve wanted to kiss her, and yells ”let’s sleep togehter next time!” at him, after their date. I guess it’s implied that they naturally get it on.
