I liked the first few episodes, I did not love them but they were interesting enough that I felt like I should…
Another problem I had is that is felt very superficial and not realistic enough, the investigation, the romance, everything.
They did not even bother to show the trial. I mean, the drama started and was supposed to be about the murder, knowing who the killer was so the ML could be proven innocent but then the whole thing just took a backseat.
Her father's case seemed to be less important than showing some random scenes with supporting characters. This was one of many loose ends or things that were not properly addressed.
And if you were the ML would you really go back to being an idol after going through all of that? If I was him, I would retire and live a normal life with the FL. He can still do music without being an idol.
And what was the deal with trying to make the ML's mother look less bad last minute?
There were so many small things wrong with this drama that just kept adding up and by the end of it I could no longer see it in the same light I did when I first started.
Overall, all I can say is this was very disappointing. It could have been so much better but the writing was weak in every way. It did not standout in any genre it tried to include. To even add the thriller and mistery genre to this seems underserving. The law genre, even with the female lead being a lawyer and the other guy a prosecutor...not much law was present. Of all of those genres, we can say it had romance...but it was not even that great in the romance department either.
I liked the first few episodes, I did not love them but they were interesting enough that I felt like I should keep watching. But then it happened. Nothing. They did not focus enough on the investigation or the FLs defense of the ML and did not make those few scenes interesting enough.
Then out of nowhere they decided to focus on the romance (and I am a romance drama girl) and it was meh? Then on the second last episode they remembered they needed a conclusion for the case, the killer is revealed, there are a lot of holes and the reveal is underwhelming to say the least. Then the last episode is just there, they had 1 episode left and nothing to do with it so they just spent an entire hour showing what the characters are up to after the time skip.
Exactly. People are saying this is a rip off of Dynamit Kiss as if 10 years ago there weren't a bunch of dramas…
RIP. So you read the webtoon, if they follow it yeah. I was kinda getting the vibe the pregnancy would take the entire drama but was hoping to see the baby, see them being parents. It is still possible since they sometimes change a few things.
Not a bad drama but I agree with some of the comments saying that not much happens while a lot is happening. Every episode almost feels like we are stuck in the same place when it comes to their relationship development.
I liked the drama for the psychological genre, the places they visit, the Japanese language and actor who I already knew but not really for the romance. I would not recommend if for the romance alone as if that is the main reason why you want to watch this you might be disappointed. There is romance, there are kisses but the romance between the main leads is kind of boring?
I also liked the first half better because I felt for the first half there was more plot development, things happening that made me want to keep watching. The second half I was watching while playing games on my phone and skipping scenes more often than I would like to admit.
So yeah, it is not as bad as some comments say but it is also not a drama I would rate a 10, not even an 8 and definitely not a drama I would rewatch.
I’m really enjoying this and glad I didn’t pay attention to the negative comments here. It has a nostalgic…
Exactly. People are saying this is a rip off of Dynamit Kiss as if 10 years ago there weren't a bunch of dramas just like these 2. I am guessing people saying this stuff just recently started watching kdramas.
I started back in 2010 and it feels very nostalgic to watch dramas like Dynamite Kiss and Positively Yours, yes, they are full of clichés but they are fun to watch. I hope they do not take too long with the first few months of her pregnancy. I want to see her belly grow and they better give us enough baby time. I hope we do not have to wait until the last episode for her to give birth.
I have watched other short dramas with this actress and this is honestly the most boring one, no wonder it is also the one with the lowest rating. Just not worth watching when there are so many other short dramas that are less boring.
Reading the synopsis I think this would make a pretty interesting regular length drama or at least an entertaining short drama of 15-20 mins per episode. Instead they used this plot full of potential on a vertical drama with bad acting. I have seen some good vertical dramas but this one is not one of them.
The FL with her arms always up when she is talking to other characters or to herself feels like some 5 year old level acting. Girl, put your arms down.
This is the only drama I haven’t skipped on almost two years. So funny how dramas catch the eyes of some and…
I still find it to be better than a lot of the historical kdramas of recent years. But since there are some parts I feel bored (some scenes with some supporing characters) and there are only 2 episodes a week, I prefer to let more episodes air so I can binge-watch.
P.S. - You are absolutely right, different people like different things but there is also other things involved. My expectations 15 years ago were lower and it was easier to like something, now that I have watched so many dramas it is harder to find ones that make me go "wow, this is so good". And I also have moods, some days I just am not in the mood for a certain type of drama while other days I am. ^^'
I agree episode 4 was better than the previous ones and the story is finally picking up the pace but I am still not completely sold. I do not dislike it but I am not super excited to watch the next episodes like some people are. Hopefully episode 5 will change how I feel about it.
My main issue with this short drama is that it had the potential to be a great one, one that showcased the main leads dealing with their enemies together and slowly developing feelings for each other. Instead it went the most obvious dramatic route.
I saw the "plot-twist" coming from the first time they showed that character. It was so obvious that I wished they would go a different route.
The male lead was almost never there, as if the actor had a busy schedule and could not be there to film most of the time. Instead of seeing them as couple fight the enemies, we saw the FL try to handle things at home while the ML was nowhere to be found and would sometimes show up right before things got worse. If the FL only counted on him to save her without making plans herself, she would have died pretty early on.
They could have at least given us a better and more romantic ending after having to go through all that but nope, it was just a cliché "spend time apart and see each other again after a while" type of ending.
So yeah, do not be fooled by the first few episodes. This had potential but they did not use it.
Watching this reminded me of why I stopped watching daily dramas in the first place. It is not that this one is bad, it is better than some other daily dramas I have watched, but it is still one so there is still 100 episodes of mostly the villains getting away with everything, the main leads having to go through all sorts of tragedies and everything so in the last episode we get to see the villains pay and the main leads finally getting together.
The villains get what they deserve but it is not even satisfying because the main leads had to go through worse without even deserving it and it does not bring back what they lost. At the end of the day, I just don't think it is worth it to go through 100 episodes of something just to leave feeling like you wasted your time.
Again, I am not saying this particular daily drama is worse than the others, this is just me ranting at daily dramas in general. If you have a lot of time on your hands and are ok with the main leads barely having any romantic scenes and one kiss that only happens in ep 100, then go ahead.
I will be putting this on hold after ep 6. I do not dislike it but I have found myself skipping more scenes than I would have liked. At this point it is better to just wait for more episodes to air so I can just skip through the scenes that are not so interesting.
But she has the exact same clothes in several other scenes before that. Unless they did not film them in the same…
That seems to be the most logical possibility. And if the actor just by looking at the script thought of that and voiced his concerns...then he is definitely boyfriend material. lol
I don't like pointing at people's look but I really wonder how the ml actor got this role. His face procedures…
I think it a mix of the face procedures, the wig being too tight pulling at his skin and too much makeup...all those things together created this bizarre male lead that I unfortunately could not ship with the FL. They looked like a woman and her gay bff, those were the vibes I was getting, he was missing that manly vibe that even baby faced male leads give.
Exactly. Not a fan of this trend of airing a drama with the same actor/actress as the main lead right after or…
That is usually what I do. I have other dramas I am currently watching so I will probably finish those first and then start this one when most of the episodes have aired. By then I might have "forgotten" Xiao Zhi Yu and Hu Xiu and will be able to embrace this new couple - Gao Hai Ming and Lin Huan Er.
The plot of this drama seems interesting. I prefer the actress who played Hu Xiu but I do not dislike this one(have seen her in quite a few dramas too).
I was wondering why even for a short drama this had such a low rating, now I understand why.
The plot feels plotless, the characters are just there existing, the ending is just another scene they decided to film, it barely felt like an ending. It is like they just had an idea of something they wanted to do and went with it without figuring out exactly what they wanted to accomplish and how they would execute it.
But she has the exact same clothes in several other scenes before that. Unless they did not film them in the same…
I'm not questioning that. It is just that there were several scenes before they got to that one so I wonder if they had to redo all those scenes or if that one was filmed first (they do not always film scenes in the order we watch them) and they only had to take a break so she changed her clothes and they just got right back to filming that scene.
They did not even bother to show the trial. I mean, the drama started and was supposed to be about the murder, knowing who the killer was so the ML could be proven innocent but then the whole thing just took a backseat.

The actors definitely deserved a better script.
