I watched this drama when it aired so it has been over 5 years but if I remember right she never falls for the other guy or doubts her feelings for the male lead. It is more like she is conflicted between doing what she wants and what the society expects of her, it was never about choosing between the 2 men but choosing between herself and others, if that makes sense.

Yeah, you might be annoyed with some things that happen while she is in this conflict but this is a pretty good noona romance with a lot of romantic moments between the main leads so if I was you I would at least give it a try. You might be missing out on a drama that you would enjoy because of the synopsis.

I also feel like doing that sometimes but usually prefer to read the comments because synopsis are not always accurate and are often out of context or too short to express the real essence of a plot.

The plot is a bit messy and so is the ending but it was a fun watch. I have watched worse short dramas.

That and if they show someone else as being the man who visited the nany. I mean, maybe it is the guy who is always next to him, but he is definitely involved in her death. He either threatened her or told her something that would cause her to commit suicide. I just know he is involved. He has to be... 😅

RSB of course not but maybe her grandma or someone else behind the scenes. But yeah, I lean more towards the second guess that it has to with tea. Yan's actions do make it seem like he is related to Wei and we still do not know how he got all that tea knowledge, specially since his identity is fake.

I guess the hints were not too obvious. I have been watching dramas for a very long time and have watched A LOT of them so I usually catch things a bit earlier. Well, I'm sure they will reveal it soon since there are not many episodes left. Of course, this has been just a guess so far but after watching episode 28 I am pretty sure that beggar is either the real Mr Yan or someone who knows the current Mr Yan is fake.

We also need to find out what happened the day Ms Yang died and I'm pretty sure the fake Mr Yan is also behind it.

I would be surprised if he didn't. I have been suspecting him of being involved in her death since the episode she died. Although the way she sent the younger sister away makes it seem more like she comitted suicide after hearing whatever he said. Maybe he threatened her to kill herself and she did it to protect the Rong sisters.

I guess we will soon find out. Probably once the FL reveals he is not the real Yan, most likely on their wedding day. The FL likes to do these big reveals when everyone is there to watch. XD

I honestly agree with all your guesses aside from 13, which you yourself said it was a pure guess. I think there is something deeper involved, maybe the Rong family is involved. I cannot keep away this weird feeling that the Rong family has some dark secret that they have been hiding for generations. Like maybe the whole tea thing is a cover for something darker or they stole the original tea producing techniques from another family...maybe this would tie with the fake Yan?

So many possiblities. I just love dramas that keep us guessing.

You do realise that Mr Yan is not who he says he is, right? Her grandma would be kind of right if Mr Yan was the real Mr Yan and was sincere but it has been pretty obvious since the beginning that he is hiding something, it has been hinted at that he his faking his identity and episode 28 just confirmed all that. I can already guess what the beggar is trying to write....Yan Bai Luo

Is she actually? At this point the only people I believe she truly cares about are her sisters and the ML and even to them she will lie and hide things. I think the whole devotion to her grandma is not sincere or at least not as sincere as she is making it out to be.

I have previously said that Shan Bao and Yun Shu are actually pretty similar, they are both schemers, except Shan Bao is the FL so we see her in a better light and Yun Shu is nowhere near Shan Bao's level. Shan Bao sees the schemes of others coming before they even start planning them. She gives a helping hand to the enemy in setting a trap for her just so she can get them in their own trap, that is how much of a schemer she is.

At this point I am starting to believe that the FL is aware of every threat and just likes to pretend she falls into their traps so they can let their guards down and she can trap them in their own trap.

From the beginning it is pretty clear to everyone that she is very smart and can keep calm under stress, but what she shows other people is not even the full extent of how much she knows and how many strings she is pulling behind the scenes. Even us as viewers are not aware of most of her schemes until she decides to reveal them.

Yeah, kisskh is my go to site since a few years ago, it is how I even get to know about most dramas, including this one. The person who first replied to my comment already shared where to find it subbed so no worries.

This is an unfortunate and also extremely funny choice for a drama title for anyone who knows about the "sister hong case". ^^'

I personally prefered The Best Thing because this one is a bit more slow paced and has some subplots and characters that I could have done without BUT some people are saying they prefer this one so I guess it is possible you will like this one better. I would still give it a try even if you have to skip scenes just because the ending is really nice.

You will probably have a hard time getting past through the first 5-10 episodes but if you are able to keep going, it gets better.

Although I had a hard time getting into it at first because of how long they spent on the SML subplot and the boring business stuff (which unfortunately was there for most of the drama), there were also things I liked, like the main leads healthy relationship and other things I cannot say because they are spoilers.

I did not enjoy this drama as much as most people seem to have enjoyed it and watched it on and off at the same time I was watching other dramas I was more invested in BUT I have to say the ending was almost perfect...we were shown some stuff we always want to see at the end of a romance drama and that only a few dramas actually show. Almost the entire last episode was dedicated to wrapping this up in a nice bow and it deserves praise for that.

Not a short drama I would recommend for the ending alone. But then you have a second half that is not as good as the first half, which was only decent, and bad subtitles. Just not worth your time.

I think this is because she only wants it to seem like she left the family but she did not actually really leave the family. She still has her ambitions and I think she might even be considering overtaking her grandma. She might have taken a step back to then take several steps toward.

Even people that saw her as threat previously are now on her side. I think she is as much of a schemer as YunShu, we just do not get to see it as often. For me, at least as of episode 23, it does not seem like she actually intends to cut ties with the Rong family much less the tea business, more like she is trying to make it seem to Yun Shu that she is not a threat anymore so she can let her guard down and then the FL will take everything when she least expects it.

I still think near the end there is a chance the FL will actually cut ties with the Rong family, either that or she will be the head of the family and change some rules.

Have you watched any bloopers? It seems like this actor is prone to tripping and falling down. There is a video someone shared in the comments where you can see he him tripping several times. At least one of these scenes made it to the final cut.

Idk if you have watched that episode yet but there is this episode he is next to the ML and as he walks down to his seat he misses the step, hits his leg and almost falls down. This was not part of the script. ^^'

Dramas where they show the online game as part of the plot are usually a hit or miss for me, mostly miss BUT I love seeing both main leads on screen so I HAVE to at least give it a try.

Maybe it will be one of those that I actually like, specially because instead of some cringy fantasy game they are playing a murder mystery game, which is right up my alley.

P.S. - Not hating on games with fantasy, I spent a good chunk of my teenage years playing Perfect World. But playing is different from watching a drama where real people are dressed up as characters and the editing is cringy, just not my thing. There are things you like doing but do not want to watch other people do. (no double meaning, it just came out like that ^^')
