reading no 1-3, i'm like, "okay, this is short drama so yeah sometimes i need to put my brain on a rest mode"…
A lot of short dramas need you to put your brain in rest mode, but this one will have you take it off and place it somewhere out of sight so you are able to watch until the end. ^^'
Can you suggest me some of your best short dramas. I watched Threads of destiny and sinful marriage. 1st one was…
I have watched many but the most recent ones I watched that I thought were not bad were: Peacock in Wonderland (better than I expected but not a fan of how it ends), Marry Him in Her Place, Gorgeous Dream and Phoenix's Homecoming (same actress as this one).
Some not so recent ones I seem to have given good ratings: The Only Girl You Haven't Seen, Fortune Writer, Thousands of Years of Love, Butterflied Lover.
These are not necessarily the best ones I have watched. I would have to go through my entire completed list which is huge, even with MDL filters it is hard to find them all. I only went through a few hundred rows (helped that I always add "short drama" at the top of my notes).
I'm not done with this drama yet, but I tend to be a bit more generous in terms of ratings when it comes to short…
Not sure, I watched quite a few this week alone but this actress was also the FL in Phoenix's Homecoming and I liked that one over this one even tho the plot was nothing new, just found it more entertaining.
P.S. - Check my reply to another commenter below for a list of some other short dramas. Maybe you will like some of them.
I’m on episode 2 and this FL actress is weak af. She ruins the vibe every time I see her in a show. How is she…
I honestly don't think Seven Tan fits this role but to say that she does the same acting is not true. I think she did well in Flight To You and her role there was very different from this one.
i love seven tan soo much but i dont think she's the right actress for this role. idk but i feel something is…
I agree. She definitely does not fit the childish character of the FL here, I think she fits a more mature character like the one she played in Flight to You for example.
But there is also a problem with the plot, like there is no real progression. I found myself skipping a lot of scenes. Maybe it will get better but at this point I am only watching because of the ML, if they had cast some other actor that I did not care much about I think I would have already dropped it or at least put it on hold until it finished airing.

Same. But I'm comparing it to other short dramas I have watched and this one was not as entertaining, at least for me, as some other short dramas that have lower ratings. A few days ago I watched one that was rated 7.1 or something like that and it was a lot better than this one.
I had a feeling this was overrated just from watching the first episode. My guess is people are giving it higher ratings than usual because of the matriarchal setting, with the roles being reversed and women being the ones to call the shots.
I rolled my eyes at the grandma saying: she only made a mistake that all women make.
I mean, it is not a bad short drama but there are short dramas that are better with lower ratings.
The drama is basically a bunch of scenes put together that seem to serve no purpose, like they just had a bunch of things they wanted to include but did not know how to incorporate them. The acting is also not that great. Even after finishing I have no idea what the writers were trying to accomplish. Each episode you watch you will feel like the plot is stuck in the same place.
If I had to summarize the drama in one sentence: FL tries to kill ML because she thinks he killed her entire family and ML lets himself get stabbed while also trying to force himself on her instead of investigating what happened so they can be together. Rewind and repeat.
I was having SML syndrome too with Meng Shao Jue but no anymore after episode 13; tf he went to her bed at night,…
Ikr? That and I have not yet watched today's episodes but I am starting to think he might be the mysterious man, specially after he pushed the idea of getting rid of the ML, now, that he is a love rival, so convenient.
There is also the poison thing, the fact he was able to so easily enter the ML's house and go to her bedroom, he might have been the one to steal the antidote, the ML himself said only a few people would be able to pull it off and seeing how he was able to do it just to visit the FL, I imagine stealing the antidote would be no big deal for him.
EDIT: Ok, it is not him. I started suspecting someone else in episode 16 or 17 and in ep 18 my suspicions were confirmed. Also, the SML kind of redeemed himself in the most recent episodes. As of now I will keep my SML syndrome even tho I know there is no way they will end up together. Hopefully they do not ruin his character near the end.
I did not find the movie confusing like some people did. But the way they decided to market the movie and tell the story was not the best, making it an average movie that I would not re-watch instead of a great movie that I would probably want to watch again and recommend to people.
Why 7? There are worse short dramas out there with better ratings...
Exactly. I think people are giving it low ratings just because the actors are not well known. Meanwhile there are dramas airing that are not that great but have ratings above 8 just because of the cast. Whatever happened to judging something by its quality rather than who is involved. People will watch meh dramas because of the actors and listen to bad songs because of who is singing.
I'm sure they were aiming for something great with this one but got nowhere close.
I cannot recommend this for anything, not for the revenge, not for the romance, not for the mystery much less for the ridiculous ending. Even a short drama needs to have some standards, if you are not doing at least one thing right, there is no point watching. You can safely skip this one.
Me,too! I'm actually shipping her with Meng. I find him more interesting
I thought I was the only one. I found their interactions and chemistry better than what she has with the ML. But I guess starting on episode 11 we will see less of him since she is no longer disguised as a maid in his house. But I'm sure he will still pursue her even after finding out her true identity, he is already head over heels for her.
Hello! Just want to say that when I first came across MDL years ago, I would often come across your comments on…
Hi. So happy to hear my comments are helpful. They take time to write and sometimes I wonder if it's worth my time writing them, also because some are not as positive, I leave rants too. ^^'
Sometimes I also rely on other people's comments because even tho I work from home and make my own schedule, it is just impossible to watch EVERY drama out there so I need to pick which ones are worth giving a try and which ones are not for me.
