Damn, longer than most movies.

This was not great. The plot is very cliché since it is an older drama.

Thai dramas are harder to find subbed compared to other asian dramas, but some years ago it was worse. Now there are quite a few thai dramas that are being subbed by fansubers.

This one has been subbed by nekomeowmeow if you want to watch it.

I honestly have not seen her sing well any kind of note or maybe I did at some point when I watched the show and cannot remember. The question is if that is enough for her to be a singer. A singer should be able to sing several notes, not just lower notes. Lower notes are usually easier to sing anyway compared to high notes.

Like I said, I am not a hater and I know she will never read my comments and get hurt by them. If I thought there was any chance my comments here would be read by her and could hurt her in any way, I would have never left them. If I said these things on her social media or somewhere I thought she could read, then yeah, that would be really mean although it is my honest opinion. When it comes to social media, it is better to not say anything if there is nothing good to say. The entertainment world already has too many suicides caused by haters online, and I despise such people that hurt someone to the point of them feeling like death is the only way out.

I did not mean she is completely untalented, I just think she is not particularly talented when it comes to singing. Maybe she can do well in acting or modeling or other things. But this is only my opinion. It is normal for people to have different opinions.

It has been 4 years so I don’t remember the plot but if the FL did not consent, it was rape.

Does not matter if they are married. There is a thing called marital rape. As long as one of the people involved does not consent, it is considered rape and it is a crime.

I have watched many lakorns where this happens and because it is a drama, I pretend it is not as serious as it is, but in real life many of these male leads could have gone to jail if the FL decided to go to the police.

It has been quite some time since I watched the show but I don‘t remember her being good at singing at any point. Maybe she was not as bad at singing R&B, but from that to being a talented singer goes a long way. Also, from all the music videos of them, she is always the one who sings the least and is always in some position where she is not as obvious when they are dancing. The few times she is shown she is usually just there looking pretty.

If we look at it from a talent perspective, she should have never made it into the group and the girl who got first place would also not have been the one to get first place. It was pretty obvious Korean people valued looks as much if not more than talent when they voted. One of the most talented girls of the group almost did not make it into the group because people were so worried about voting on the one they thought was the prettiest or the cutest.

But yeah, if she really wants to do it and puts effort into it, she might be able to get better. In Produce 101 Kim So-hye was also not that good but she put so much effort into it and worked so hard that she was able to join I.O.I
The difference for me was that Kim So-hye was clearly putting in the work and was showing obvious signs of improvement, which is why she made it into the group. It was all thanks to her efforts and she deserved to get into the final group.

I did not see that with Kang Hye Won, or at least her effort and improvement were not as obvious.

I had no idea. I have only heard him on the radio and stuff and thought he had some great songs and a nice voice. Thought it had always been like that.

Acting is something that even if you are not naturally talented, with practice and effort it is possible to be a decent actor. Singing and dancing is harder to do if you have no talent for it, especially singing.

Really? Ed Sheeran has a nice voice tho. Maybe he just needed singing lessons to improve. Kang Hye Won is not naturally talented when it comes to singing so even with singing lessons and a lot of practice it would be hard for her to sing well.

I think I remember in her audition the judges placed her in group F and pretty much said she was pretty and had charisma or something like that. Then the public voted for her and she was able to join izone. But from a talent point of view she should not have been able to make it into the group. It was all the public. ^^'

But maybe she can improve her acting with a lot of effort and practice. It should be easier to learn how to act than to learn how to sing. For singing no matter how much you practice, if you don’t have a good voice it will be hard to sing well.

Kang Hye Won is the perfect example of how some people only care about looks. Aside from being pretty she has no talent whatsoever but was chosen to be part of izone and even had a better ranking than some of the other girls of the group that were way better. I have not watched this drama yet since I want to be in a certain mood to watch something so sad, but I am pretty sure her acting is as good as her singing and dancing.

P.S. - I am not a hater. I am just being realistic. I watched all the episodes of Produce 48 and there was not even one single moment I thought she had enough talent to enter the final group. She did not sing well, she did not dance well and she was so stiff. Even after she made it into the group, most of their videoclips she does not sing or dance much and is mostly shown sitting somewhere looking pretty. That means that even the professionals that were behind the choreographies and lyrics knew very well that there was nothing they could do with her but just let her be there for the sake of it, she was picked by Korean people after all, they could not just remove her from the group. ^^'

I actually haven’t. How long are the episodes? Or is it that the dramas just have too many episodes? Or both? XD

I think I can count with one hand how many short dramas I actually fully enjoyed. It is hard to develop something in such a short time and most of these short dramas have low budgets and hire rookie actors which only makes it worse. The plot is also often mediocre.

The ones I did like were 10-15mins per episode. 5 minutes or less is just too short and rushed.

But I agree that when episodes are too long and there is nothing going on, it can be boring. I see that in some Thai dramas that have episodes that are 90 minutes long. Each episode is like watching a movie. If they don’t pace it well and make the plot interesting, it is hard not to feel like skipping a few scenes here and there. ^^'

Yeah, this tiktok generation is ruining dramas. Kids are unable to sit through an entire episode and want fast and easy entertainment even if it lowers the quality of it. I would be ok with 20 minutes long episodes, like animes and some jdramas, but some of these dramas are not even 3 minutes per episode. There are ads that are longer than that. Sigh

Not as great as some people are making it out to be. Being a short drama for me is already a big disadvantage since I have only really liked 2 or 3 of the Chinese short dramas I have watched. Most of them are clearly low budget plotless dramas with bad acting and too much fan service. To make matters worse, the subs for this one are not great either.

The plot and acting were average, to be nice, with a cliché rushed plot with the same ending of many other c-dramas because of the whole time-travel censorship stuff.

The good points would probably be the cooking, the chemistry between the leads and the female lead’s personality, but these were not enough to beat the negatives for me so I cannot really recommend this one or say I would re-watch it because I wouldn’t.

In conclusion, for me, this was just another short drama like all the others that have been airing recently.

I don’t, that is why I said I would come back to read the comments. Sometimes the drama is actually good and the trailer just doesn’t do it justice. It was just the impression it gave me.

I don’t make decisions on impressions only. I would be missing out on plenty of good dramas if I did that.

Maybe I am wrong but the only thing I liked about the trailer was the kid, he is cute. I don’t know if the trailer was just not great but it gave me the impression the plot is boring. I will come back later to check the comments and see if it’s worth watching.

I am ok with being misled, it makes it more interesting, but only if it makes sense in the end.
