Parallel reality
After the first series ended, the Director asked for suggestions from audience members, so I've been curious as to how many were selected and how they were used. This new series feels like the first one was flipped upside down and has been a lot of fun.
On Well-Intended Love Season 2 Feb 23, 2020
In Season 2 of Well Intended Love, his character, Ling Yi Zhou, is quite a bit more sophisticated and polished than in Season 1. This is not a criticism of Yi Zhou in the first series, except to say that the shift from the Leukemia plot line to Xia Lin's innocent confrontation at the opening scene of that reception, shows the man behind the problem solving much more. Very shortly after she so awkwardly and unexpectedly confronted him, he instructs Wen Li to drop the first plan because he has a second, better, and less complicated idea. He acts very smoothly with zero apparent stress and a higher level of cool intensity. This isn't to say that there is less confrontation; it is simply that he acts with greater self-awareness and less intensity in his behavior towards the trouble makers.

This quiet confidence and stillness in scenes where the opponents are puffed up is far more attractive than when the writers propose increased intensity and a stern face. Why? If you are in charge, then you have most of the power cards. It was such a pleasure to watch a person being told he had to leave the office because of an investigation, so he immediately thinks of the positives. Later, he doesn't even gloat over his wins, because he knew it was a given because he had everything covered - according to the rules he had written for his business - and his visit with the Board President was no stress (except for the Chairman.) After working in every level of business from international to local, I love this alternate reality that includes so much business sense.

Plus, our leading lady has been given stronger control in many areas of her life: she's clearer and far mor candid with both women and men. It places them on a far more equal footing that speaks to more current lifestyles. On the other hand, one preemptive decision is startling, yet she does not exercise a strong or very serious effort to reverse it This alternate series has so many of the initial concepts of the original series, yet reminds me of a game I used to play with some creative friends: "What if we take all of the basics and turn them around of inside out; what would that look like? It was simply a brain teaser and that is what Series 2 seems to be. It has been an extremely interesting concept and I love what the writers have given us given us.

Additionally, I can't understand why the complainers are so rigid; especially when they did not contract the actors, have made no personal investment, AND the Director asked for suggestions from the audience. If this series came from audience suggestions, then Brava/Bravo to all who contributed! Plus, many thanks to the producers, the director, the wonderful actors, and the crew!
On The Romance of Tiger and Rose Feb 10, 2020
About the story description: isn't everyone "single since birth" until they marry. Or, was she born without the help of parents? Perhaps this ambiguity is to demonstrate the challenges of clear writing when translating from another language. No matter what it is, I love Lu Si's work. She's always great and very entertaining; I'll will be watching like the rest of you! : )

love o2o couldve been relaxing if er xi didnt have my blood boiling the entire time smh
I completely agree, Kpopped! She is the worst written BFF ever in Asian films. She is completely selfish and self serving, a rather clueless, rude individual, and generally an irresponsible person. The worst thing she did was to try to drag Wei Wei into some sort of showdown with the # 1 campus beauty queen in the French restaurant. The being AFTER she manipulated 'Master' into taking them for lunch the same day that he returned from Shanghai. Did you also notice that for being in computer sciences, Erxi does no homework, takes the snacks of others, blames them if she over indulges, is often thoughtless to them and other classmates on occasions.

The actress deserved far better: the writers failed in her apology scene, which lacked in substance and was far to small for the two years of grief she loaded on Bei Wei Wei. On the other hand, while she did not deserve Wei Wei as a best friend, we often have lopsided friendships that feed us emotionally in ways others might not comprehend.

It was interesting that the producers selected one of the toughest universities (apparently) in China for the scholastic training, yet filmed at a classically but campus in Shanghai.

It is January 20th of the fantastic new year - 2020!!! I want to suggest to you one of my two favorite C-dramas is Love Better Than Immortality, which has many laugh out-loud scenes between Li Hong Yi and Zhao Lu Si. When they meet very dramatically in the first episode, he begins with flamboyant flirtation and proceeds to demonstrate his extreme interest apparently seducing her. This carries on through many episodes and hilariously verbal with bits of encroaching closeness or tiny touches that cause her to step backward or sideways. While there is no physical danger, Hong Yi is very charming and they both have great comic timing. While his character is deadly, he is never more than verbally threatening to Chun Hua (Lu Si) and it's not long before she knows how to handle him.

However, I confess that in some situations the choice between two men in LBTI provided enormous responses from feminine viewers, especially with the 40 intense episodes. It has much humor, plus every other feeling is engaged, and then between 25+ kisses by the time it ended. The complete range of debate, despair, and delight was expressed when the series premiered on YouTube without English subtitles that caught up with us by the morning that episode 40 was placed online. It the producers had used the entire first book, it would have probably added another twenty.

This is not to suggest that a woman who entered a self-destructing time capsule in 2169 to travel back to (perhaps) the Spring and Autumn Period in Chinese history is naive about men. It is only that in what we see in those first few moments of introduction at people in the 22nd Century were unsatisfied with making love to another human and only wanted self-sex, which is why she wanted to go to some time in history when men and women actually were involved with each other. My thought is that the Entertainment Software company for the exact match she wanted, but it was in a barbarous timeframe that was completely contrary to her imagination of events. People have described this as a fantasy setting when it is truly a historic one, seemingly a few hundred years prior to the first emperor of a unified China.

This was the 3rd series that I watched when I discovered C&K dramas early last July and I've seen it so many times, I believe I could ace an in-depth exam on LBTI! As native of the U.S. Pacific NW, I am addicted to C&K dramas. I'm fascinated with how many beautiful people populate each series and that so many young actors - men and women are so excellent in their craft. I love to see the location scenery, even when one setting stands in for another. And I'm deeply impress by most of the writers' stories, the direction, and the music! Such gorgeous music and so many beautiful songs. I love it all!!

kisskh has been my favorite fan-resource since July, so many thanks to any and all involved. Your work has been so helpful in translating much that I haven't know into a tangible education for me. Sherri Smith. : )

I'm kinda tired of the whole damsel in distress that have 2 knights in shining armour that appear all of the sudden…
Probably the second baby with the current wife. If she was a few months in with the first one, given time to divorce, etc. . . . Just a thought. My former husband's second wife's baby was six or seven months old when they got married and I have never been sure that she was not his daughter. With some men, anything is possible,
