Bro, a person's agency exists independent of the culture they come from. If they don't or can't give consent for any kind of contact, it is still non-consensual. It doesn't matter how their culture views it.

As for Thailand, their definitions are pretty progressive. In 2007 their penal code got an overhaul that broadened the definition of sexual assault to include non-consensual contact with a person's mouth. This includes kisses. And yeah, their definition of consent requires conscious participants.

You don't have to see it that way. That's your choice. But just like with non-consensual acts portrayed in any kind of drama, in a BL the character committing the act is grossly in the wrong. It being two guys doesn't mean consent is somehow less important. If this was a drama where a dude kissed a girl who was so drunk she couldn't give consent, there would be no one picking at the people addressing it.

That confused me too. But when I went back and watched again, I think it's a translation issue losing the nuance of the moment. Pha recites his will. And says he wants to go in peace. When I rewatched I think his parents weren't responding to his death, but to his choice to die.

It made me giggle too. I think I'm in the minority in that I like tame Sandee. Wild Sandee was psycho. I don't like psycho.

I love all the pairings. I've even started to love Jack and Koh, who I thought were kind of stupid. Thanu and Wayu are my favorites. But I think that Tong is gonna make me cry. I mean, Yes he needs to take care of himself! We need to get him someone better than Pok, though.

As I understand it, for good or bad, Gen Y was specifically written for two seasons at least. The cliffhanger at the end and the populace vote were all planned to segue into a second season, right from the start. The vote was just marketing and DunBas were sent around to promote even while the vote was ongoing because they planned for it from the very beginning.

I think the plot would work better in a different format. It makes one helluva Lakorn. But the pace is kind of wasteful for a BL with only 12 episodes this season. I still love it to hell and back.

I am so excited for the next two episodes! I have been combing the web looking for hints about their content.

I've also been searching for any more dropped hints of season 3. I know that Bas has 18 Rain and My Lucky Cat. But I think maybe there has also been a mention of one extra Dun/Bas project for 2022 and I hope it is season 3 of Gen Y

I disagree with like most of this. But I'll just roll in with if what you sew is what you get than Pha had no reason to expect Wayu to ever be romantic with him ever again because not only did Pha screw Wayu over more than once, In episode 1 of season 2 Wayu was clear on that rooftop. He straight up said that Pha was his past love and that Thanu was his foverever love.

LOL I just want Kalae and Alice for their own sakes. I love that pairing. They're very sweet.

It was really sad. I even think Sandee was sad. I mean, he was complaining Phai was his only friend.

But I was a little shocked by the overload. I did like that Wayu stood his ground with Pha but even that caused him to be sad.

There's a lot going on that needs to wind down. It's already episode 8 coming up. We need to see at least a little forward progress so it doesn't all have to happen the last episode.

I'm not sure Wayu is the chasing sort. But I could be wrong. There's nothing wrong with that but he does need to give Thanu a clear answer to next week's question. I am going to loose my bananas if he doesn't give Thanu a clear answer! Tell Thanu you love him. Just give him at least that much!

That level of scream was almost more suited to a horror movie. Most girls watching a fight are either frozen silent or gossiping about it and going "Holy shit! Grab your phone and film this!". Sometimes they're cheering.

It would have felt more natural had Pok and Sandee been near the girls tearing up turf. I've never heard anyone shriek like they've been stabbed when two dudes at distance are duking it out. But, hell, maybe that's a thing.

I bet Kalae is still suspicious of Sandee. But he's a chill bro. So maybe he's waiting to see what Tong decides to do.

I'm in love with Wayu. He was so...himself in this. The sweet times were hella sweet.

The indecision over the problems with Thanu was a big ouch! Damn! The cellphone by-play was hurtful to watch in all the best ways.

But my favorite moment was the race with Phai, where Wayu loudly announced he still wanted Thanu just by making a race out of it.

The white track suit was cool visial metaphor. And it was dead sexy.
