Bro you're absolutely the cutest little package! I could watch Bas acting all day long. He can be tough, mean, cute, noble, brave, sad, hurt, happy. He's got the range, yo.
Wow! I wanted to see a more Wayu centered storyline and I got it! I hope it keeps on in that direction. Bas did a great job of showing Wayu determined but still overwhelmed by everything coming at him. But he handled it like a boss!
And Thanu was great! I loved how when everyone went to step in he put his arm out and stopped everyone, because he knew Wayu could handle Pha on his own. It's not the first time Thanu has established with people that Wayu was perfectly capable of making his own choices. In season 1 he put Jack and Koh in their place over their infantilization of Wayu. It shows just how much Thanu respects Wayu. And then he essentially told Pha "Dude, we aren't interchangeable to Wayu and I'll love him because I want to, not because you asked."
Really what was Pha thinking with that whole silly "Love him twice as much, for me and you both" nonsense. Sheesh! What did you expect after ghosting Wayu and your friends for a year?
Mark was just that right amount of protective of Wayu but still focused on making sure Kit was cool. What a nice balance. And Kit was less bitchy, for once. Not that he had much scenery to eat in this episode.
The styles in this episode had me kind of surprised, though. Bas' look was magical. They managed to make him pale, but still very pretty. And it was a more grown up look for him than he had in parts of season 1. I like! In fact, everyone looked pretty good, except Tong. What was up with Tong's hairstyle. Mullets are back in, I get that. And I've seen some good ones out there, including one Bas wore a couple of years ago while he was touring with SBFive and his hair was bright red. But... This one is awful! Really, really bad!
