Yes, it is such a disservice to put this censored danmei in the same box as dramas that actually only intended bromance like yin yang master ancient detective or the blood of youth...

To be honest this drama reminded me a bit of wu zhe's works, especially when they are taking care of duoduo i'm reminded of gu fei and jiang cheng with miamiao in sa ye. And the running scene reminded me of qing kuang. I know it's a different story but this warm fuzzy feelings with looming angst is what i imagine i would feel watching that saye adaptation we will probably never see (please bl god give it to me someday).

Of course, I really respect the og addicted novel and chai jidan and very very grateful that she's giving this story another chance with this angle, since this kind of vibe is right up my alley.

Just crying about this show's existence tbh, it's really filling that void in my heart lol

the way wubi just unapologetically pushed mao chong and squeezed in between him and suyu had me cackling like its so natural full confidence zero hesitation that is my place right there
