no uncle and no digging of someone's death are u sure? did you read the novel yourself? because i've seen some readers claimed the uncle house scene and the investigation really was part of the book, big part in fact

genuinely asking bcs i got different testimonies from what you said and i haven't read the book myself

wu bi has been the more proactive one but seriously the past few eps i noticed the way su yu looks at wu bi is so so full of desire like he looks breathless every time they look into each other's eyes

i also felt that part was too long but i heard that long sequence followed the book closely, and this scene was the biggest display of love from suyu towards wubi in book 1 (not eating and drinking for two whole days is a big thing fo suyu in the book since he really cannot go without food, this act showed how much he loved and would do anything for wubi).

if in the book this scene has such huge meaning i understand that the author whose also the screenwriter here wanted to include that scene fully.
