Even though Guo Zhensheng has always been in love with Du Ruyu, the drama didn’t force a romantic relationship…
Thank you, I'll do that <3
IKR! They like to go over the top with the comedy and then hit you with all the very touching heartfelt scenes when you aren’t expecting it. The growth of the characters has been amazing to see. I really love that even though this is a drama that you can just watch without overthinking things, it still has a lot of lessons and very relatable moments. It's slapstick while still retaining depth. This drama is so good! I won't hold my breath, but a second season would really be sweet.
I share your admiration for Jinrong. Initially appearing as a potential gold digger, as the story unfolds, we…
Every sister has their hilarious moments but she is the funniest to me. She’s always up to do something so chaotic and her reactions to everything thrown at her always subverts expectations. Despite that, you can tell how much she cares for and loves her family.
I really adore Jinrong. She’s shameless about loving money, but she can also be a very doting big sister to her meimeis and share the good stuff she has with them. She cares a lot about her siblings and I will never forget how that hairstyle Peilan had (the one where she ended up having the same look as the vegetable vendor lmao) was made by Jinrong hahahaha.
What a beautiful and very fun drama. Final ep made me cry a lot. Even though this drama has a lot of silly and…
Even though Guo Zhensheng has always been in love with Du Ruyu, the drama didn’t force a romantic relationship between the two of them. Instead, they treat each other as more like platonic partners. Du Ruyu respects Guo Zhensheng as someone who helped her raise all her daughters and someone she will grow old together with, without necessarily being romantic with him.
Peilan and Buping have the most solid relationship among all the couples, so it was inevitable that they would be the first to marry. I love how they naturally grew closer throughout the course of the drama. Peilan started as someone afraid to leave her family behind, gradually becoming more comfortable expressing her feelings for Buping, and finally being willing to move on to the next stage of her life, creating a new family and home with him.
I appreciate that Shi Zi's father still hasn't fully accepted Jinrong as his future daughter-in-law. It just feels more realistic that way. It's admirable how Jinrong hasn't given up, and I'm sure she will eventually succeed.
A-si and Keling's relationship also makes perfect sense. Keling has been quickly overwhelmed and pressured into accepting his feelings, and she couldn't handle all the baggage that comes with being with someone in A-si's position. This doesn't mean she doesn't have feelings for him, but she still needs to grow before taking on too much responsibility for which she's not yet ready.
Finally, Banxia and Shen Wangyan. Again, I like that they hint more about their future relationship without shoe-horning that they magically end up together in the finale. Shen Wangyan appeared very briefly, but the sparks are flying everywhere, and although it doesn't happen in the last episode, you can already see where their relationship is headed.
What a beautiful and very fun drama. Final ep made me cry a lot. Even though this drama has a lot of silly and ridiculous moments (in the best way possible), it’s amazing how they managed to keep a lot of relatable realism throughout. The ending and how each couple ended totally made sense. I love that they didn’t force anything to make a perfect happy ending, but an ending that actually shows true growth for all the characters the viewers have grown to love.
Chun Peilan (2nd daughter) is not a widow, she’s also unmarried like the rest of her sisters. I don’t think there’s even any character who’s a widow and had a husband who died in war in the drama.
Li Tengyun trying to be nice by asking Buping and Peilan’s future plans and they straight up flirt with each…
They haven’t gone public with their relationship yet (though it’s already very obvious) but Lu Buping’s already claiming Shi Zi and A-si as his brothers in law😆 the silent looks from everyone while LBP remained oblivious is so funny.
They were very secretive about Shen Wangyan’s identity.
My crack theory is he’s A-si’s brother😆 If A-si doesn’t become the next emperor, then maybe his brother can. That way, Keling can still have more freedom without being too bound up to strict palace rules. If Shen Wangyan can be the next emperor, then Banxia can easily share her petitions for better government directly to SWY.
Maybe he is someone from the palace, sent to check out Keling's family
That’s my guess too! My other wild theory is if he’s A-si’s brother. Then A-si can live as a noble prince and have more freedom with Keling and Shen Wangyan can inherit the throne and actually rule and Banxia can share her ideas for better government even more easily if she were to be his consort.
The 650 is forever 3 always makes me laugh. There’s always someone missing for a lot of this season😆
Meng Ziyi being super clingy to Jackie Li is so adorable. She’s in love with someone who never goes home hahaha.
I feel like the overblown controversy from previous season made most of the members more guarded which is a shame. It was more fun when they felt more carefree to do what they wanted.
That whole money situation was hilarious. Poor LBP, I hope he gets his money back. It could be his savings to…
Hahaha yeah! I imagine their family not drowning in money rich like the Young Lord’s family, but still very well off that they live very comfortably. Buping never knew how to do housework until he met the Chun family and his birthday celebration used to be grand.

Really hoping for a second season.
