Episode 9 is my fave so far! Also… My hands are up for Yeo Jingoo’s performance this episode. We saw so many…
This is actually my favorite episode so far and not just because of the first kiss between the leads, but because we finally gain a full insight to Gyehoon's feelings. He's always been so reserved about everything, always pretending he's okay when he's lived his life with everyone pointing their fingers at him as the one who’s at fault for his sister's disappearance. Even his own father was scornful when he begged him to come back and just live normally like other families.

I cried a couple of times this episode. The waterworks started when Eunjung and Dahyun started hanging out at the mall and the realization kicks in that Eunjung's trying to do things to Dahyun she could no longer do for her sister.

Then there's Gyehoon's flashbacks. He was a kid when his sister disappeared. To see him grow up with his family deteriorating. People either straight up blaming him or doing it passively. It's a surprise he turned out half as well as he did. He's living in so much pain and no one really took notice of how much he's hurting until Dahyun came along.

I think the guy the stalker met is Gyehoon's father. It's interesting how the stalker seems to be afraid of whoever that guy was. I still find him so suspicious. God I hated how scornful and sarcastic he was after Gyehoon begged him to live normally like others. "Be happy... like others." My poor bb.

I guess it's because I've always been more invested with the main characters so I don't mind it when the plot's not immediately answering the questions people usually have here. I have faith that the answers will all come in time. They are already setting the stage for the upcoming reveals and the story is not really about Gyeyoung but Gyehoon and Dahyun’s journey to healing. Ep 9 is honestly my favorite so far.

And that kiss was... *chef's kiss* amazing. The tears... Gyehoon finally releasing all the pent up feelings he's had for Dahyun this whole time. I loved it.

I saw it as a pivotal moment where after Gyehoon denied himself of happiness time and time again (because of how everyone around him never allowed him to forget and constantly blamed him), at the very height of remembering a very painful memory with his dad (who also blamed him), he suddenly thinks of Dahyun. He realizes how much Dahyun has been there for him from the moment they met each other. Then Dahyun appears in front of him. He then finally lets go and embraces everything.

He has been drowning in guilt the whole time and when Dahyun came into his life, for once somebody actually cared and empathized with his pain. I found the kiss to be beautiful because in the midst of that kiss they’re also having a link. Dahyun was emotionally aware of the pain Gyehoon is going through inside. In that very moment the love wins over the pain that Gyehoon’s been punishing himself the past 18 years.

Episode 9 is my fave so far!

Also… My hands are up for Yeo Jingoo’s performance this episode. We saw so many facets to Eun Gyehoon this episode and he delivered every single one perfectly without missing a beat. The way he looks almost expressionless but you can see from his eyes how the guilt has been eating him up inside over the years. His face everytime people blame him for what happened. The way he looks like a child again when he’s in front of his parents, his father in particular. I’ve been a fan of Yeo Jingoo for years now and he still manages to bring something new to his acting with every project he takes. I’m so glad he became an actor.

Link is just fantastic! Best ongoing drama for sure!
Ep 9 has got to be my fave so far!!! I love this drama so much.

Btw, OP just expressed that she finds Link to be the best drama to be airing right now in a discussion page about Link. And everyone’s so triggered and brought pitch forks all for a simple comment lol.

India gets first. I can stream with vpn in us
Yup I didn’t list it out in order, but I’m just interested to know if there are more other countries streaming Link. It’s just sad and ridiculous this drama is only available to 9 other countries outside of Korea (if there aren’t any more).

But what vpn are you using btw? I’m also watching via vpn but I can’t connect to Disney+ India even with an Indian server.

How did you guys know the new police officer was the suspected murderer's son before it was revealed? Did I miss…
It wasn't directly mentioned until ep 8 but they laid out clues right from Ep 1.

- When Wontak sees the piano teacher for the "first time" you can tell from both their glances they recognized each other.

- In Ep 3 when Gyehoon attacks Wontak for bothering Dahyun, Gyehoon eventually apologizes and introduces himself. Wontak doesn't accept that apology just exactly the way Gyehoon rejected Dahyun's apology at an earlier ep (a very specific line that tells you it's got to be something they both used to say as children). That scene shows Wontak recognized Gyehoon and there's some bit of animosity to his reaction. Later in the episode we find out someone confessed to Gyehoon the culprit might have been his father aka the piano teacher. Gyehoon got that man arrested but the kid who confessed it also regretted what he did.. The way this sequence of events have been laid out connects Wontak to that kid who confessed to Gyehoon.

- When Wontak beats up the wife abuser and he runs into Gyehoon, you can tell Gyehoon already recognizes who he is by the way he doesn't rat him out to the police.

- Everytime somebody confronts the piano teacher and Wontak sees that, he's the one to immediately jump in and de-escalate the situation.

Given how him and Gyehoon recognized each other, Gyehoon got the piano teacher arrested, Wontak is sensitive whenever the piano teacher is attacked… all these direct to Wontak being the piano teacher's son.

Omg yes! What I really love about this drama are the characters. Everyone has depth that is just waiting to be…
This drama is using so many common k-drama tropes but the writer has a great way of breaking them apart and putting her own twist to things and making all those tropes feel new again.

There's another interesting bit from the character descriptions but it's about Jinhoo. I don't think he's connected…
Omg yes! What I really love about this drama are the characters. Everyone has depth that is just waiting to be explored. Jinhoo's character description is totally interesting and there's more to him than meets the eye.

I really enjoy his character because he's made to look as the usual ML best friend who's often just comic relief, but he's actually a very insightful character who is good at reading people and who's not afraid to call out the ML when he's not doing something right.

I also found Gyehoon's dad to be very suspicious right from the first 2 episodes. All his scenes with Gyehoon…
Yup exactly. It's kinda like the stalker. He was just like a footnote at the end of the character descriptions but he turned out to be a very crucial character in the drama.

For those interested here is the description for Gyehoon's parents. Taken from Link official website and translated…
Gyehoon's Mom (Jang Misook)

Life was always beautiful thanks to wealthy parents, a good husband and good children. One day, when she was a fairly talented florist and attended only her favorite events and was full of volunteers and free lectures, her golden daughter, Gye-young, disappeared.

Poor little son blaming himself. Her husband left home after wandering around the country looking for his daughter. In the face of a life that has been cracked in an instant, Mi-sook does her best to maintain a beautiful life without looking into the wounds of herself and Gye-hoon. With a smile on your face, you eat alone with Gyehun, you spend Children's Day with a smile on your face, and you celebrate Gyehun's birthday with a smile on your face. My life is fine. My life doesn't get ruined as easily as others. How many years have passed like that? For some time, my heart couldn't hold out anymore and broke down, and I became a completely different person as if something had been cut off one day.

As if spewing 10 years of wounds at once, immaturity has suddenly changed. I had all kinds of neurosis such as vitriol, hysteria, and delusion, and I felt so goodThat was so meanA, It became unpredictable and a glass nerve that seemed to break at any moment.

Misuk's daily routine is watching and watching old home videos. The video was taken before the disappearance of the relay, and he is buried in photos and is living like a corpse in the past. While loving his son Gye-hoon like his life, he repeatedly pokes his heart.

i don't want to suspect gyehoon's father in all of this, but based on the absolute mystery that surrounds him…
I also found Gyehoon's dad to be very suspicious right from the first 2 episodes. All his scenes with Gyehoon was just him talking about the twins' connections. He also made them go to tv shows even if Gyehoon was clearly uncomfortable with it.

He may or may not be the main culprit but I also feel like there's something off about him.

As for the parents' job. His dad had a clinic (same place with Gyehoon's resto) and his mom was a florist who happens to be from a very loaded family.

Hows the romance development so far?
It's quite a slow-burn with push and pull but it's also very in-character and just believable for what the characters have been through so far. Their banters are great and you can see sparks of their chemistry even if we're not at the actual romance scenes yet. They both care for one another and the FL is very open about everything so she always gets to the point when talking to the ML. ML is a walking green flag who feels so much guilt so he can't easily come to terms to his feelings for the FL yet.

Man!!! It was so werid. Throughout the series the strange chef girl told everyone the stalker her brother. She…
She never addressed the stalker as her brother when she was alone. All along we were shown she was talking to a picture frame but it was never shown what's in the picture frame.

She said it's her dongsaeng she misses and dongsaeng is gender-neutral in Korean.

This was a theory I posted here 9 days ago, the reveal did not completely come out of the left field, there were clues:

"I think the stalker is not really Eunjung’s little brother. She is looking for the stalker but I feel like she has a different motive.

Whenever she’s talking to her little brother in her home, we never really see the picture she’s talking to. The only time we see the stalker picture was when she showed it to Dahyun’s fam. All the other instances of her talking to a picture we haven’t really seen who exactly she’s talking to.

I think she plans to have some revenge to the stalker. She thinks Dahyun is stalker’s girlfriend that’s why she doesn’t seem to really like Dahyun."

All I'm saying, they better not make the stalker some kind of victim. He better be in beaten till comatose, dead…
100%!!! I don't want the story to suddenly.. ohh actually he wasn't that bad! It kind of defeats the powerful message that Dahyun has fought for so far.

I'm interested on what his past is and explain his actions. He can be a victim of circumstances, sure. But, I don't want the drama to make it like it would erase or excuse all his previous actions. He needs to be locked up by the end of this drama, no further negotiations.

Is it just me, but I find it weird that there is not much interaction between the cop and his father (as an adult)…
I think he was avoiding his dad on purpose and only comes in when he's being threatened. It was already implied right from the first episode Wontak knows the piano teacher with the way he reacted when he saw him in Ep 1.

out of everything happening in this series i just want to finally know what happened to the sister so i hope we…
I don't think it will be revealed immediately. They shaped it to be the main mystery of the series so I think they will dedicate the entire second half to that. First half was establishing the Jihwadong kids and latter half will be about what actually happened to the sister.
