Guys, is it Circulate or Circle 8? I read somewhere else (dramabeans) that it was Circle 8...and if that's…
The tvn spelling says: sseokeul-re-yee-teu (re-yee-teu could either mean rate or late in hangul) :D It would be circle 8 if it is spelled like sseokeul-e-yee-teu. Or circulate with sseo-kyul-le-yee-teu.

Yoon Shi Yoon AND Jin Goo??? Is this good guys?
The story is nothing new and it's pretty predictable, but it's still a feel-good. It's just a simple movie with warmth in it.

i am a simple person. i see yeo jin goo. i will watch.
Yeah I really highly recommend Hwayi! I'd say Jingoo's characters in Circle and Hwayi are very similar. Both are just victims from the horrible adults in their lives and now they have to make choices to set things right in their lives. Yeo Jingoo was so phenomenal in that role.

I watch everything Yeo Jingoo's in so if I don't like the story, I just watch his parts. He's just sooo good. I'd also recommend Giant. Like he was just what, 12 or 13 in that drama? And he did some really heavy acting in that. One of his best performances in a drama. And if you want baby Jingoo, I also really recommend Sad Movie. It's a star-studded cast and kinda like Love Actually but is... as the title suggests, sad.

The biggest question in my life right now is: Do I watch ep11 as soon as it's out and live through the agony…
If my internet cooperates, I'd watch it via livestream... if not I'd wait as soon as the raw is out. It's what I've been doing since it premiered. I won't be able to focus at work if I wait for the entire 2 episodes to be released. My nerves would die! LOL

Copy pasting my dramabeans post: My Korean is really basic so I could be wrong, but tvN spells Circle 8/Circulate as 써클레이트 in their officially uploaded vid. Shouldn’t it be 써클에이트 for Circle 8 and 써큘레이트 so it can be Circulate? Given the Hangul, shouldn’t it be Circle Rate or God forbid, Circle Late? Not that they make sense lol.

I finished watching ep 10 with subs. What do you guys think of young Woo Jin’s picture? I am pretty sure…
Guys, do you remember in teaser for the next episode, Woojin said, "Protect yourself until the end." He must've said it to Byul because he knew that him and Byul are the ones wanted by the bad guys and that he wouldn't be around to help her to the end. T_T

Is this drama worth watching? I've been hovering around starting it for a while now, and the summary seems…
Also, don't expect too much about CG... they really didn't have the budget or time to create some expensive, movie-class CG for this drama. When this drama began, some people made fun of its CG. But do anticipate a fast-paced story with great acting. :D

I just realized that while Woojin was helplessly stuck as the human battery for Human B system... PDG even had…
I swear I'm not crying there's just your entire essay about Woojin's pain stabbing my eyes out. T___________T

And Woojin actually did ask his brother to stop chasing after their father and just stay by his side because accdg to him: "I've been struggling all this time." Like Woojin was never the type to tell others about his pains and he's just taking it all in by himself but for him to actually admit it to his brother just so he can get to him... like.. "I'm the one who's here. You're the only one I have left, please don't abandon me the way our father did." And I know Bumgyun is really set out to find the truth... but it was at the expense of a a brother who's having a really hard time taking care of the family he's only got left.

That is why the scene where Jungyeon led Joonhyuk to his old hideout in Ep 4 and we come to realize that he's actually Bumgyun was sooo full of impact to me and made me cry the most. Joonhyuk profusely apologizing to Woojin for not listening to him at that time when his brother was begging him to just stay by his side. And what's even more tragic is that Woojin was not there anymore to listen to it. And turns out all this time he's actually been turned into some super computer human battery. I totally agree with you. There is just absolutely no way Woojin would ever come out of that ever the same again.

Because if nobody else would take care of Woojin, then we will just do the worrying and crying for our poor, sweet child. T_T If only I could go inside my laptop and give him a tight hug.

And yes to that scene with his grandma! Every single scene with his grandma stabbed me in the heart. The first one when he was already crying but still tried to sound normal when he said goodbye. The second time when his grandma even ended up scratching his face and he looked absolutely hurt... not physically but emotionally. And the last time he just broke down completely. Like he's not asking for the USB for himself, but because he was so desperate to save his brother and he was just so tired and has never completely cried... like everytime he starts tearing up, he always stops himself and tries to make himself strong because he's got so much to do.

Right? He cares so deeply for his loved ones he had to go through so much and sacrifice so many things.

Yes, that car scene where he was just like, "He will still wake up, right?" Like he's trying to assure himself but he's still filled with endless worries. And he's just shouldering all these burdens head on because he has no choice. We understand Minyoung when she disagrees about them allowing Bumgyun to just forget everything to be happy. But from Woojin's POV... I also understand where he's coming from. It stung when Minyoung said that Woojin's just giving up because it's the easy way out. And I do get Minyoung, but thinking about it, Woojin never had an easy way out ever since his father left. T______T

Title The Royal Gambler Spoiler
Is this good...?
I'd recommend just watching Jingoo's scenes though. :D Or at least this particular scene where he was mourning the death of his mother but they wouldn't allow him to wear mourning clothes because legally he is adopted as the son of the Queen and his mother was just a concubine. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7-jZnhqZ0-U

Jingoo was really great in this drama, since you actually see his growth from a young prince to a mature king. His acting talent is really fantastic. Like he was only 18 year old in this but he was able to portray a really grownup king - from his posture to his way of speaking, down to that ruthless, cold stare.

One of his specialties is sageuk acting and I'm so pissed as to why the writer had to make the writing go silly.

So I totally thought the ahjussi was going to be the one dead. I mean I guessed one or both would die, but I thought…
And turns out that cow who's been following him everywhere is there to actually bring him home... as a corpse. T________________T And if it isn't heartbreaking enough, all his brothers have died in the war and he's the only one his mother has. T_T

I haven't hahaha... the stupidity of this drama is that the villain is always one step ahead of them and it's just so frustrating how unrealistically omnipotent the villain is.

*HUGS* Well at least there's two of us with broken hearts T_T IKR... he was so badly beaten with blood everywhere but nobody even bothered to ask him how he was. And when Jungyeon told him that he's the only one his brother has so he needs to get to his senses. And that's really true, but what about our Woojin-ie? :( He's been living such a lonely and hard life and to the point that he had to beg for his brother to stop looking for the alien and their dad and just be his brother, telling him that he had been struggling all this time. T_T Like he was just so desperate and wanted to live a happy and peaceful life with his brother... and yet... T_T he ends up in the hands of the evil Human B, with absolutely nobody. It pains me so much.

It had potential, but the writer had to make the story really stupid. The actors are really good (except that leading lady with really bad characterization and acting). Yeo Jingoo's scenes are fantastic though. I really only watched it for him.

And to think that Woojin never had a good life ever since their father left them behind. He had to become the family's breadwinner with his brother having his own struggles and a grandmother who eventually had dementia. And in school he was also an outcast because he desperately needed to become a scholar just so he can study for free in the university. And then it turns out all these hardships were just the tip of the iceberg for all the things about to fall on him. Even when he was searching for his brother, he never even took care of himself. He didn't sleep, probably barely ate..

Also back in 2017, when Park Donggun told Woojin that Prof Han wants him and Byul so that his brother could get the treatment he needs, I doubt that Woojin would ever bring Jungyeon to harm so he probably faced those evil guys all by himself and that is how they caught hold of him and turned him into whatever they did to him all these years.... T___T This show is giving me way too much angst to think about.

I absolutely agree. My heart is already weeping just seeing the teaser for the next episode. He's doing everything he can so his brother could be back to normal again and bring back his memories even if he's conflicted that his brother is finally happy again. And the way Prof Park made him think they have no where they can hide anymore and the way Woojin was crushed by that revelation. Ughhhhh

He's doing everything for his brother and would go to any lengths of sacrifice for him.. So pleaseeee just reunite them and let them live in peace, show. T_T
