Time travel plots can go wrong in so many ways and I can’t decide if Life on Mars did everything right or everything…
I suppose the point of it is that he isn't sure if it is a dream and thus the audience also has to wonder if it is a dream. He had people telling him (who he trusts) that it is reality as he can feel and then he has people (the doctor) telling him that is is a dream. He doubted everything at first than began to feel comfortable in his surroundings so in the end, he didn't want to live in reality.
Basically Tenma and Haruto have a duel .. fighting over Oto. Three events that Tenma excels in (judo/Kendo and Archery). The condition was that if Haruto loses he goes abroud to study, if he loses, he is free from his father to do what he wants. If Tenma wins, Haruto isn't allowed to go near Oto again). I wont spoil the competion as its about the only good part of the drama but Tenma ends up letting go of Oto and she runs to Haruto who is waiting for her .. but you never see them meet. It just finishes with a load of weird fantasy scenes.
I've just finished watching this and to say in disappointed is an understatement. I wasn't expecting it to be anything like the original first part although the story is basically the same. I knew that the cast were amateurs but it could have been so much better. And honestly, the ending, like many of you said .. sucked. If you were in love with your childhood friends from a young age, your life would revolve around that person regardless of circumstances and probably wouldn't even think if looking at someone else with romantic feelings. Parts were very unnecessary, Airi's turn of character overnight was rubbish, megurins character was annoying. What was the point of the 3 C5 male members, they hardly had screen time, Lots of it was left unsaid (ie. what would happen to Mokoto now that Oto and Tenma aren't getting married? Will he still have the position at the company?) Not a high rating from me i'm afraid
On episode 5 now and i'm still wondering whether Gasin will turn on Pimorn at some point. The looks she gives her sometimes just make me think it. What i know about the coins currently, basically knocks my theory out the window. Wonder what would happen if P'Orns coin goes to someone else ... will Gasin take orders from the new person willingly?
I've just watched episode 10 and not the rest. Is episode 10 really the only episode that carries on from where the drama left off? Just want to make sure i'm not missing anything without having to watch the whole thing. Not too interested in the bits that happen in between i just wanted to make sure there was a happy ending :-)
Some people have slated Kim Ok Bin for her acting in this but i have to say she was superb. Much better than some of the idol turned actresses. It needed real emotion to play her part and it was done brilliantly. Shim Hee Sub also was fantastic. Lets not forget to mention Lee Elliya. Gosh i really hated her. Job well done to everyone.
I plan to watch this drama soon but I'm feeling mad because my friend spoil that her grandmother will die :( I…
As melondrx said, her grandmothers death comes right at the end and her part is quite minor. Although it is sad, the scenes surrounding it are very meaningful and infact makes you understand why the writer added the grandmothers death in. Don't be put off because of this, you would be missing an epic drama.
So i'm upto episode 12 and the whole time i'm wondering why he hasn't bought her a new pair of shoes/boots yet! i mean he's moaned about them enough times and she did buy him slippers (not really a spoiler).
I'm going to start this drama next but can someone tell me, is there any romance what so ever? Pretty sure i won't miss it due to everyones comments but i do like a bit of romance lol
I'm feeling rather deflated. Not enough of the story was covered especially if this is the last one they are planning on making. Does anyone know if they are doing another one to carry on the rest of the story?
