There's a movie in india called laila majnu The ML falls in love with FL and gets psychotic when he couldn't get her The female understands that he went ahead of this world and suicides and just after her funeral the male lead dies as he sees the soul of FL calling him They both die at the end but at the end there's a song in which they are shown happily ever after in heaven where there are no societal norms and just love I feel this is almost the same where both are happy in heaven with each other as they let go all of the worries of the real world Its a sad ending for viewers and not for them If we look from their pov if they would have lived they would have suffered much more than before as lizan diagnosis is one of the psychological disorder which cannot be cured (i have seen real people being diagnosed that's why ik) so according to drama from my pov they died and left all the suffering and traumas living in heaven having each other happily So it's a happy ending for them definitely they won't have any regrets
