The acting is phenomenal (though some don’t like the way the FL is written or wanted something more quick and…
your response is actually helpful and perfect for the question, at least for me. I would like to continue the show for Kim Taeri and the interesting storyline; it gives me psychological (?) genre vibes, something that I’m into, but alas, I’m still terrified of horror stuff.
sorry but Sarang made it with votes so it’s kind of pointless to debate whether she deserved it or not. She…
Exactly and this is one reason why RU Next was so rigged too because Mnet keeps deluding us into thinking we can just vote whoever we want without considering the planned concept & brand image. With I-land 2, mnet is obviously skilled at manipulating the audience into voting for their desired contestants with the editing and more fishy details I won’t bother explaining. They plant seeds into people’s minds and cater to the audience’s need for entertainment at the same time. I mean, the final members are the ones with the most screentime lol. Tale as old as time. Kpop is not just about singing stably or dancing well or even nice visuals sometimes. It’s just too ruthless to admit reality because these survival shows need profit and they are a form of escape from reality for many.
You guys should stop hating on the contestants who made it. It’s okay to grieve for your picks who didn’t make it but their elimination is not an excuse to hate and scapegoat those who made it.
Mai and Sarang debuted but Fuko didnt… I love all the girls at the final but it was obvious who deserved it…
sorry but Sarang made it with votes so it’s kind of pointless to debate whether she deserved it or not. She had a strong 1-pick power and is a potential stan attractor. She’s one of the best dancers on the show, can rap and is a decent vocalist despite her mistakes in part 2. She proved to fit various concepts while Fuko was only doing cute & elegant ones. She can fulfill more roles than Fuko, who is talented but too bad Sarang’s one pick power was stronger. I’m sad about both Fuko and Yuju but it is what it is. They clearly wanted Mai for her visual + she fits the envisioned concept of izna.
I cried from start to finish. No joke. I couldn’t stop crying in almost every scene even if I wanted to. This movie had me wasting a whole box of tissues.
someone pls ASAP tell me how much romance is there in this drama on a scale from 1 to 10.... the amount of side…
Romance isn’t the main focus of the show, mostly revenge politics, but main leads do work together and there’s a slight angst. There’s not much romance until much much later. Also yes, a lot of politics and characters trying to outsmart and conspire against one another. The show isn’t boring because of constant plot scene after scene, but if you’re only here for the romance, it can be frustrating due to the lack of it.

well ig that’s true, I was thinking in comparison to me, he is a certified ahjussi, he’s around my parents’ age as well. I also don’t think he looks old, he looks young and good for his age.

sounds like you barely interacted with the younger demographic before because at the time Goblin was aired, tons of really young teens I knew on & off social media were raving about how hot this ahjussi is 😭
probably didn’t find anything wrong when they watched those youth dramas with older actors acting as high schoolers at the time, but they find it problematic now.
