At first I thought he was mediocre at acting but after seeing W's recent ep 9, I take that back! His ability to play diverse character roles amazed me! He's hardly a supporting role!
A creepy plot twist that no one saw coming, even after reading some of the comments beforehand I was still freaked out about this sudden turn of events. When people say this drama was unpredictable, they're not joking, it's seriously unpredictable. I expected things to start getting anticlimactic because I can't imagine it reaching a higher climax than it already did, but boy, am I wrong! I'm anticipating to see how the upcoming events of the drama will roll out!
Wow, this show has reminded me how much my taste has changed in the last couple years of watching Asian dramas.…
But everyone in the comments are so hyped about this drama being a refreshing twist on the typical romcom genre, I feel like I would be missing out if I drop it haha! Alas, we shall see if this drama will rekindle my young fangirl heart!
I loved the original novel, although it hinted an unhealthy and almost toxic relationship between the two, I still loved how Cheng Zheng would always find his way back to Yun Jin. It was definitely very angsty from beginning to end; a rollercoaster of emotional train wreck but that was the essence of their deep love. Given that the novel was fairly lengthy, it was understandable that it must've been difficult to fit all the content of events into a movie - hence the film was very rushed. Nonetheless, as an avid fan of the novel, I was really excited for the release of this movie since Kris was starring as Cheng Zheng! All the trailers looked great too, a seemingly perfect adaption of the novel. Indeed, it turned out that most parts of the film stayed true and accurate to the original story although some parts were new/added. Some parts of the story was twisted and merged into one scene to shorten the length of the film. Overall, the film was far from perfect; it was rough around the edges, it had a lot of empty gaps, rushed time skip and many unanswered questions which may arise for viewers who haven't read the novel yet. More importantly, it failed to deliver the true colours of their romance which was very frustrating! I must admit the acting wasn't top-notch especially on Kris' part (in fact, he received a lot of criticisms from the Chinese viewers after the film was released.) But I still loved the film because it was enjoyable for me to watch scenes from the novel come alive. I was also attracted to the cinematography, it was simple yet gave off very nostalgic vibes. Many were discontent with the ending and I was too because it basically cut off the whole entire second half of the story which was extremely frustrating! You can watch the cut scenes in Still Here MV but again, I strongly urge everyone to read the novel because it provides a better understanding of the characters! Plus the storytelling was better.
I wouldn't say perfect, but it was definitely a wonderful adaption of the novel! While some parts of the movie seemed rushed, the film stayed mostly true to the key events that happened in the novel. Angelababy did an unexpectedly great job with her role of Wei Wei. The CG for the game play was (albeit obviously fake) very pretty and admirable! I can't wait for the drama version!

So true! If it's a few years back or maybe even a few months back, this drama would be the perfect dream come true to satisfy my little young fangirl heart but now I take a step back and look at all these typical cliché tropes, I'm like.. uh.......
naeun should never act again!!!
so ugly, plastic & untalented!
not that I entirely disagree with you on the aspect that Naeun's acting skills is undeniably lacking, but why the unnecessary spew of insults and negativity lol?
Mixed feelings for the first episode. I truly wanted to enjoy it because I'm an absolute sucker for reverse-harem (it's my favourite guilty-pleasure genre haha) but there were a few things that was off-putting for me. Hmm, I think one of the things was Park So Dam's character; don't get me wrong, I think she's full of charisma, very quirky and super cute with her facial expressions! But I just think her character would be more suited for medium-length hair instead of short.. Another thing was the fact that the first episode was full of cliché tropes, I lost count! Maybe that was the comedic intention but I found some parts quite cringeworthy.. Perhaps slightly outdated? Also Hye Ji.. I hope she doesn't become a problematic character because I really want to root Ha Won with all the 3 male leads without any disruption from supporting roles, but the preview for ep 2 makes me think otherwise.. Overall, the acting was a bit so-so for me. Hopefully ep 2 will be a pleasant surprise and things get better! I'm having high expectations because it's a TVN production!
