For this cdrama, it is not draggy 'coz it's not more than 40 episodes & the air time for each episode is around 35 mins. Sometimes there are few flash back between the ML & FL roles but it's acceptable to me. Yes, may cdramas have this trend of good start off then fall flat in the middle & end but for a low budget cdrama this is considered good. If you have watched - Mirror : A Tale of Twin Cities acted by Li Yi Feng & Yukee Chen then you would know what I meant over here.

So far the FL has become a much better person compared to Season 1 as she was really easily being tricked by the ML not once but few times. Over Season 2 she even threaten the ML which I like her boldness. At least now she is able to think straight & make decision on her own.

This is a continuation from Season 1 but if you did not watch the Season 1 then it's still ok 'coz in between there are many flash back on Season 1. For me, I feel Season 1 is more light hearted & funny even though the FL is a bit dumb & slow. Over here the FL has changed to become more stronger & wiser & not that easy to be tricked by the ML. Comparing Season 1 vs Season 2 - Season 1 - has more straightforward storyline & no plot compared to Season 2 where most of there roles has evolved from students to working adults besides the ML roles whom still remain the same. Let's hope this cdrama don't disappoint me at the end. LOL

The story is typical like cdramas story line which employer offer marriage contract to his staff on a pretentious marriage. Then I guess slowly both boss & staff fall head over heels.......and it turns out fake becomes real marriage.....lol

This cdrama reminds me that I am watching a romcom kdrama where dong saeng falls in love with a noona concept. The ML over here is not that good looking but he looks young, rugged & fresh. The FL over here looks beautiful & petite. The main couple managed to bring the on-screen chemistry. I've not finish watching it yet hence would not comment further till I've completed it.

Watched till episode 10. Can't wait for the next episode to be released. It's one of the fluffiest, funny rom-com that I've watched so far. No time-travelling, getting stuck in a VR game or novel concept. Atm it's quite entertaining, not too serious, slow paced or heavy storyline. I hope this cdrama can maintain it's momentum & storyline till the end. Btw both ML & 2nd ML are equally good-looking.

The main reason why I am watching this cdrama is due to Cheng Yi and the reason why late watching it 'coz I can't get over Cheng Yi & Zhang YuXi role in L&R 'coz in L&R Zhang YuXi is supposed to act as his sister in law but over here there acted as main leading couple. In fact this cdrama has many twists & plots but one needs to have patient watching it as all roles over here were interlinked with each other. Many roles over here too died so if one does not like to watch a lot of fighting or conflict story which ended most people dying then one may skip this cdrama unless you are Cheng Yi fans like myself. Lol. Oh yes! I also noticed that handful of castings over here comes from L&R too so don't get confused with their role.
Tbh everything over this cdrama are prefect shown from castings, acting skill, OST, landscape & storyline only thing is this cdrama should reduce from 49 episodes to perhaps 40 episodes 'coz the average air-time per/episode is around 45 mins hence it's considered a bit lengthy for me as most cdramas that I've watched has an average air-time of 30 to 40 mins per/episode.
One thing I noticed that most dramatic means a lot of roles being killed cdramas have more than 45 episodes.

I show watch this drama in 1.5x speed instead of normal 1x speed......lol

Lol..........I thought I am the only one who finds the ML - Luo Zheng face like have gone thru plastic surgery. His face looks a bit stiff & if you have a good look at his lips looks like tattoo. Initially when I watched his 1st ML cdrama - Cry Me a River of Stars - I had hard time digesting on his appearance. At least he looks slightly better in another modern cdrama - Nothing But You. Like you have mentioned earlier thankful this cdrama is only 15 episode with 30 mins of air time/per episode.

Thanks for the review. I just completed watching this cdrama & I am so lost & confused at the beginning. The story was so confusing & messy as I feel like a huge chuck of the story went missing till I read your review over here. Looks like this cdrama has totally different story compared to the novel or donghua version except their roles name. I managed to complete this drama mainly due to Zheng Yecheng & Li Yifeng. Zheng Yecheng acting never disappoint me regardless modern or xianxi version. He is one great actor & I feel he deserves to get better cdramas storyline. As Li Yifeng it has been quite sometime I did not see him acting in cdrama till this one. As the FL - Yukee - sorry to comment this, I feel she does not have the FL vibe. Most of her cdramas either on average or below average to me. Overall this cdrama if I were to compared with Love & Redemption or Ten Miles Peach Blossom or Ashes of Love, it far way back as the story & plot did not impress me. Tbh with you, I fall asleep few times watching it. Lol.......

How am I supposed to review this cdrama? At the beginning the whole story was soooo messy & confusing then both ML & FL - sorry to say this I don't see or feel any chemistry between them. Even the FL acting was really very stiff. I think the supporting roles couple played better than the leading couple. Another thing I am rather frustrating watching is why Zheng Ye Cheng role is always so sad. He is a great & good looking actor but always gets roles that does not suit him. Finally the English subtitles was really horrible over here. It was like machine subbed which do not make any senses. No wonder this cdrama was rated rather lowly at Douban.

If you are the type who love to watch no romance but full of suspense & mystery cdrama then this cdrama suits your taste. It's fast paced, fully of mystery & ppl being murdered.......ML role over here is really over-loaded with accusation 'coz he is always at the wrong place at the wrong time & one step behind. Just watched till episode 12 so I am not sure if this cdrama is able to keep its fast paced & suspense till end of this story. Let's hope it won't disappoint me.

@damagecontrol - It depends if you are fans of the participants of this Safehouse Live Show. One thing is till now there is no English subs yet for both Season 1 & 2. Season 1 - you get to watch Earth, Mix, Phuwin, Pond, Neo, Luke, Kaohtung & Tay Tawan (2nd half) as he replaced Gun (1st half). Season 2 has more participants - Kris, First, Off (1st half) then replaced by Tay Tawan, Drake, Ohm Pawat (2nd half), the twins - AJ & JJ, Book, Force, Nanon & Mike. Both seasons has their own specialties as season 1 more focus on their indoor games whereas season 2 more on outdoor games.

If you have watch "Safehouse - Season 2" last Dec then you will not find it difficult to differentiate between Book & Force. Lol......

I'm halfway watching this cdrama & I noticed why this cdrama has low ratings. It's another very typical cdrama e.g. travelling back to the past, FL role has many suitors but she choose the ML who treated her cold & hot as well as a sickly ML, prince crazy to be the crowned prince then rebellion & betrayal & taking revenge. If this cdrama is not that lengthy as 40 episodes, I guess it will be better off 'coz certain parts can be removed. Hopefully I can complete watching it.......

This is a very typical cdrama which I find has very common storyline. It's a mixture of Unique Lady + The Romance of Tiger & Rose story. One thing I like in this drama is the butler Jack role played by Deng Wei & Qi Guan Bao role acted by Zheng Fang Xing. Deng Wei is good looking regardless in modern suit or wuxia costume. Same goes to Zheng Fang Xing, he looks cute over here. All played their role well except the ML role acted by Yang Zi Dong as Qi Guan Yi, his express is a bit stiff or wooden, I am not sure is it due to his cold role. Luckily this cdrama has a total of 24 episodes or else it will be very draggy.

Indeed. The FL role as Jiang Li Li at time can really drive me up the wall but Rain Wang has played both twins role very well. As Bi Xiao Ran she acted as a serious, down to earth & strict person as well as Jiang Li Li role as a childish, naive, bubbly & happy go lucky lady. Just finished watching this whole drama & for a 24 episodes drama, I feel it's rather good & short. At least the ending is not those meh type or rushing to end it. Lol

The reason why I watch this cdrama is due to it's short episode & it's a romcom. Overall the story is quite entertaining & funny except the FL role as Jiang Li Li as I find that she is being childish & irritating at times. Great acting skill by Rain Wang as she played both twins roles with totally different personalities, attitude & behaviour. As for the ML - Luo Zheng, he looks far better over here than his previous cdrama "Good & Evil". The supporting roles over here are rather interesting too. If you are searching for something light & entertaining then you may consider watching it.

Just completed binge watching this cdrama. Even though I am a great fans of Oliver Chen Xing Xu but not every cdramas that he acted that I am watching it. So far I've watched him acting in Goodbye My Princess & Fall In Love. Both of these cdramas are worth watching.
This cdrama really surprised me as I never thought the story & plot was so good & interesting. Both ML & FL are equally smart, intelligent & strategic planners as both can forecast their enemies next course of actions. Same goes to the supporting roles over here, all of them nailed their roles so well which keeps this story in the right pace.
I'm also not a great fans of Republican cdramas 'coz it's more on the heavy side of story which involved in spies or WWII with Japanese but this cdrama "Fall In Love" do not relates much on these matters but more on China situation on that period of time where many warlocks starts to claim their power by conquering more territories. Don't know how true is this story based on China history as I don't study China history but if it's 70 to 80% truth then I really salute those fallen hero's who fought for their country to be free from these power crazy & manic warlocks.
Overall this cdrama is highly recommended to watch as one get to watch mixture of romance, scheming plans & intriguing ML & FL roles.
*Note : The ML role - Oliver Chen Xing Xu is so good looking in his Commander uniform. Lol :-)
