I actually thought Ohnishi Ayaka was a big surprise in this drama too. She was largely given more humorous dialogue but the one episode that was about her in depth let her show a different side and I was quite impressed by her acting. On the whole I think there were quite a few good actors and actresses here who I would like to see in bigger shows.
Pretty much same opinion about this drama. I also had the feeling that last episode was intended as a moral lesson:…
Yes I didn't want to go into too much details because of spoilers but I personally didn't feel she deserved another chance. I thought his best friend (that cheats all the time) was also pretty vile too. But the rest of the cast I thought were very likeable and i had a good time voerall.
The last episode felt sloppy. Episode 12 was a much better episode over all.
I've never seen this before and just started it on Hulu because I heard its connected to Kawaii dake ja dame kashira?…
I have recently just watched the 90s version of Minami-kun no koibito and then Iguana no musume which was alot of the same cast and same screenwriter. Both are def similar vibes and I'm kinda enjoying it in the same way. Very relaxing and cozy to watch. Want to try and finish it before TVer deletes Kawaii dake ja dame kashira.
Unfortunately afaik, there is no fan sub that exists for this one. I also highly doubt it ever will get one. I…
The only thing I could suggest is using a translator at the korean subs. But that would not be very enjoyable. I really hope this does get translated eventually but I doubt anyone would show interest without better qualty rips (and also it would be difficult because the korean subs are hard subs)
I like watching alot of classic Japanese shows too and made a topic in the forum about them. Alot of what I watch do no have any subs available. You are right, it's difficult to find fansubs for many. And even one's that did get subs are deadlinks now. I recommend websites like raredorama though (alot of stuff is raw though).
nevermind. i found them on youtube. itʼs in korean subtitles, though. plus, episodes one and ten are missing,…
The whole series was on raredoramas. The missing episodes are on youtube i believe with different users but also all of it can be found here in this playlist (each video is the episode title i think not the drama title) https://www.dailymotion.com/playlist/x3pu0g
Saw your thread and came here. I'd love to watch this one, but It's not easy to find classics on sites with eng…
Unfortunately afaik, there is no fan sub that exists for this one. I also highly doubt it ever will get one. I watched it on youtube raw (its still on there afaik) but the quality was rather low. It had korean subs if you happen to speak korean.
I don't think this has been reshown on television so there are really no good raws available other than the korean fan sub rip I think. It has only ever had a VHS release. A big shame because it's really good.
It's also on raredorama and dailymotion but all video sources seem to have come from the exact same Kfansub rip and all the same quality.
How did you end up liking it? Do you think she intentionally let Mana die? I want to believe not, I think she…
I liked it actaully. I thought overall the drama improved as it went on and o was fairly satisfied. I think it could have been on episode shorter. Ep 1 and 2 could easily have been squashed to one.
I liked the way it unwravelled and I agree I don’t think she did it intentionally but feels guilty about it.
I don’t know if you watched the English subs but I noticed a few small mistakes in the final episodes nothing major but one that stood out was his final lines to her. When she tells him that she thought that time together was the happiest of her life. He replies and it should be more like “it wasn’t just you who thought that the time together was happy.” I interpreted this to mean he has feelings for her now.
I think the jist is that the protagonist is not who we thought she was. For some reason she took on the identity…
I can't remember exactly how that went without rewatching, but presumabely there has been a gap between her seeing the real Mana and her marrying the abusive real husband. She probably only heard the details but never saw him. I think the next episode will likely make things clearer but my estimation is that she hasn't seen her friend in a long time and was probably trying to find out what happened to her or wanting revenge.
I've really changed my views on this after watching episode 4...
I though the two episodes were so slow and honestly rather boring. But because the show only has a run time of 20-25 mins it was easy to just throw it on casually. I'm glad I stook around before the twists in episode 4 really brought alot to the table.
It's a shame though because I do think pacing is important. This show may have benefitted from just being 3, 40 minute long episodes tbh or a two parter series. I wonder how many people peaced out after just 1 episode.
May I ask? Is this Drama Otaku? Is that the one wit the complicated registration process only during certain periods? I never really understood how that works. Tbh, I'm mostly just looking for the raws. I've been watching for the fansub links just for the video but keen to see the last two episodes now.
I'm really on the fence about how the final is going to go. I don't think I'm very keen on Shinya being a villain, it's a bit too much of an excessive implausable leap for me, especially as they have a child together too. I hope it's just a double bluff.
Honestly I've found myself feeling a bit more disappointed with 8 and especially episode 9. The twists are starting to feel forced now just to have cliffhangers and shock value. I was ok with the Madoka twist but to be reversing that back again it getting a bit tiresome. Still I'll make my verdict after the finale but I'm a bit worried it's going to end up unsatisfying and forced.
I think the jist is that the protagonist is not who we thought she was. For some reason she took on the identity of her friend (seen in flashbacks) the real Mana. The husband is an undercover off duty cop. she doesn’t recognise him as not “her husband” because she is also pretending to be someone else. Presumably she never met the real Manas husband and because he pretended to her husband to scare away the stalker she just presumed he was Manas husband. They have both gone along with each others lie thinking the other to be somebody else while pretending to be somebody else themselves.
A surprisingly cute and charming drama. Sometimes you just need something cozy and light to watch in bed. There’s something magical about the 2000s and this genre.
The last episode felt sloppy. Episode 12 was a much better episode over all.
I just finished episode 1 and I'm not sure what I just watched tbh. I think that was 2 parts magnificent and 1 part utterly horrifying.
I'm so on board.

I wish a better master copy existed digitally.

I had to rewatch a scene as it was confusing,
That’s my take anyway after watching episode 4.
