Agreed. I'm mostly a fan of romance/comedy dramas, but this one, to be honest, is mostly thriller. But it's in…
Yeah for me I’m finding the female cast are utterly dominating the show with their acting chops. Not as keen on the two males tbh in comparison.
I’ve never seen Ihara Rikka in anything before but she has really impressed me. I agree her eyes are really powerful. You can see the fear and thought process in them. No glamorous, but genuinely a woman in distress.
And yeah Wakana Sakai is absolutely chewing the scenery in every second she is in. She’s made the show for me. I saw her in Mother back in 2010 and she was ok but didn’t stand out. I think the character was less interesting and mother was full of an absolute powerhouse of actresses tbf. But I’ve absolutely taken note of her now as an actress.
Again she does so much in her face and eyes. She’s very controlled where others would over do it IMO.
This last episode there was this moment her eyes glanced sideways unable to maintain eyecontact as she was processing the conversation and it’s those kinds of details so many fail at.
I had to double take, this and Renai Kinshi seem awfully similar premises to have such close release dates. Although after watching the first episode of both they seem different enough, just odd to make both in the same season. Think I prefer the other so far but still early days. I'm largely here for Ohtsuka Nene anyway.
