I enjoyed this drama very much. Lightweight and cute. My first time watching Bai Lu and I just loved her. I loved her deeper , slighty husky voice and her comedic timing.. I am already a fan of Xing Zhao Lin. I liked the side characters ok, esp. Yao Qing, but I hated the character of Chu Nan and found him irredeemable. But this was fun throughout the whole drama pretty much.

I would have agreed, I hate that .. in fact some drama's give you like 2 minutes of happiness before they end. However, I would have agreed until I finished it last night and was worried because of the comments of trouble between them. BUT, he had a continuing behavior and attitude throughout the series, ( of never saying what he really felt , nor sharing any trouble, just telling her he'll take care of it and she can go about her business) because of his personality and his being in a Boss position that needed to be addressed before they could truly become a married couple imo. And when they brought up the obstacles that would make this need for change come to light, this couple didn't break up, nor doubt each other. So, this time, it was ok with me. I hated when he didn't explain and reassure her what was going on, but that's what needed fixed, and it addressed, so I am happy.

I agree, he was let off way too easy. It would have been one thing for him to try to move on because of his parents wishes ( not that I would approve of that at all!) but his plan made him a person I can never like.

you prob right, I quit watching Familar Wife around 3/4 thru. I glossed over this synopsis and didn't notice that distinction.. I disliked FW so much.. I couldn't stand the husband or the wife, in either dimension :)

I have watched the first 7 eps so far on iqiyi and it's very addicting. Cute, lightweight, but not silly.. Both leads are good, I can't wait to watch more, I just had to quit to do some rl things.

This looks fun.. Can't wait.. Moon Geun Young is so multi talented, I have enjoyed her performances since My Little Bride. I really don't know Kim Sun Ho, but I am all in. :)

I am so happy, this is exactly the way I wanted it to end. I wanted him to see the world, I wanted her to continue to do what she wanted. But I wanted them to be able to get married at some point. I wanted justice and it happened with zero bloodshed in the end. This reminds me of one of my other favs, Sungkyunkwan Scandal..

I have enjoyed this drama so much. Eun Woo was wonderful to watch. He was innocence personified in the beginning having been sheltered his whole life. I find it interesting that comments say his portrayal got better, when really I think he has been strong throughout. He just has stronger emotions to portray through the pain of first love not going how you want and then the betrayal and pain of the truth of his life. that's my opinion anyway.. I have enjoyed the humor and the romance and thrilling moments, but sadly for me, this won't end in the fairy tale way I would like. I am just guessing, but Goo Hae Ryung has wanted more than to just be a noble wife and she did not want to be a prince's wife either. I think she would make the best King's wife ever, they would be responsible, intelligent, caring monarchs. But I feel the ending will leave their relationship ambiguous, with her still being an historian and him taking his rightful place. This makes me so sad as of course he will have to marry. I think the current crown prince will go against his father and uphold the truth. I would love for Yi Rim to take a lesser role and not become king.. The current crown prince has always showed he would be a caring responsible king and has had years to learn it.. Yi Rim hasn't even been out in the world. He then could marry Goo Hae Ryung and she continues to be a historian. ok, that's my fairy tale ending:)
