I had such a love/hate with this drama. The acting, esp. the two male leads, was astonishing and what kept me coming back. I grew very tired of that idiot grape fairy. Sorry, not sorry.. She was blundering and too naive after 20 eps.. and when we got to the wedding with Run Yu, and what happened there, I thought my neck would burst. I was so mad at her I turned off the show and didn't intend to watch again. I started it again after a week and I had cooled down a little, haha... I finished it, but still, it was Deng Lun ( who I was in awe of his performance) and Leo Luo ( who conveyed so much, I just loved him, what an artist) who kept me to the end.
Hilarious love the guy and his family, nice movie but it's a movie for men and cheaters :P lol still I enjoyed,…
I have only watched around 4 Filipino movies, but 3 of them involved cheating.. that's hard for me to watch, I am getting discouraged. First was The Breakup Playlist.. which I really liked and fell in love with both Sarah Geronimo and Piolo Pascual and the music from the film. This film made me want to watch other Filipino films, but like I said, cheating is becoming a constant , ugh.
Well, I just finished and I l did like this overall. It's true what other commenters say, the FL is pretty childish, but I see that in tons of Chinese dramas. That also leads to the MC's chemistry being stiff and awkward until the last eps. There was nothing that knocked my socks off about this drama, but this is what I did like. Her girlfriend leaves a relationship that is bad for her and chooses one that is good for her. Her whole story was awesome to watch for me. Also, often when I thought there were be a standard trope/misunderstanding/noble idiocy etc.. there wasn't, they cut through that stuff pretty fast. It was a nice surprise. Yes, there was some double standard stuff going on with the main couple that was annoying, but overall I am glad I binge watched. Would have liked a longer ending, with more explanation, but I am REAL glad it came in the amount of time in the drama that it did.
So. I started to watch this but when I realized that She is the same actress as the CInderella Chef I am not sure…
Cinderella chef's actress was Zhong Dan Ni, not the same actress. This has Zhao Lu Si.. I don't think they look alike, in fact Zhao Lu Si's teeth are very distinctive. I quit Cinderella Chef, it was silly.. too bad.. I don't know if I can stick with this one either... time will tell
