Yiu are wrong she never has anything easy. What Shiyi did was his lover for her. Whole she wasn't in love. You…
I apologize - I meant easy in context of Shiyi. (I edited the comment to make it clear. I consider this drama as slice of life - her and her friends regular life are a lot relatable and I tend to separate characters' family life when commenting on one aspect alone. Which was why it came off as rude.) She could go look for him whenever she needed help, and he was there for her. In most dramas, the FL takes the male lead for granted and they are often portrayed as a second option. Which is why I said she has to 'suffer'. 80% of dramas it's a last minute cope out ending - ML accepts the FL anyway. It'd be good if she actually takes time to think clearly instead of some instant change of mind. Its also the reason why I don't mind that their friendship phase lasts long. (The comment by Nick below explains it better than me.)
And, if you read my last sentence, I mentioned that I understood why she acted that way. It's all too sudden.
Saw the recent trailers. Looks like we are going to have a time skip somewhere around ep 32 - 34. They'll have to rush the ending if they want to make it a happy one. Shiyi doesn't look like someone who keeps pestering people, and the novel ending makes sense to me now. (I know it's cruel, but after the recent trailers, particularly the last one, I want Xiaoju to suffer a bit and not get anything the easy way for once. (Meaning with the ML). I understand why she is acting that way - she seems confused.)
Anyone here knows the rating of this drama. Is this drama popular in china and overseas? Hope more people get…
It does top VLinkage charts and Youku like Maryjeng mentioned. But, in terms of popularity, it still has a long way to go. (It has around only 3k people rating it in Douban the last time I checked - which is a small number.) Youku really did this drama dirty. Handing the rights over to YoYo English Channel and others is good for international viewers. But, I don't think that channel is as popular as their own. (They did this with Rattan too.) To be honest, it's not flawless, but much refreshing than a lot of school dramas I've watched.
I think xiaoju will reject shiyi if he were to confess to xiaoju now. Xiaoju has always treat shiyi as good friend…
From the trailer, there appears to be a rejection scene. Someone kindly GTranslated it, but it looks like they do get together at some point? I skipped through the raw episodes and I have to say, Xiaoju appears to be not so affected by CL by the later episodes? But, she is kind of delutional when it comes to him. It's cruel of me to say this, but some tears that she shed were well deserved - reality is harsh. I'm glad that the drama doesn't lose focus on the parents and friends aspect. Or else, I would've dropped this long ago. 10 more episodes left... HE or not, I hope Xiaoju truly realises how important he is before getting together. Otherwise, it would seem like how Shiyi is just her second choice.
Just want Shi Yi to move on. He deserves to be happy, don't want him to be someone's second choice. Hope this…
To be honest, I just can't take Xiaoju's crush on Cheng Lang seriously. It's painfully obvious that he is just a nice guy in general - she sort of clung to it. Pretty sure Cheng Lang himself will be surprised by her thoughts. I usually don't touch such dramas, but this one deals with family and friendship as well, which is why I'm continuing it.
I think it'll happen closer to EP30. Cause from the drama trailer, it seems that there is a 'going abroad' moment…
I google translated part of the novel and it ends with everyone already working. (And we have the High School to working life tag here too.) Plus, in the trailer, (the final one released that never subbed officially - https://youtube.com/watch?v=-E7uRSIscm4) when they showed the list of characters, Cheng Lang is shown in a suit, seemingly at a workplace. Honestly, this drama is more 'slice of life' and not just romance. Parents play a huge role in this drama, even when they finally move to University, so it may take sometime for them to fully focus on Shiyi and Xiaoju. I'd like it if she gradually realises that he is the one for her. But, Qiu Le Tao's voice is not that hopeful. I feel like Shiyi is going to get rejected for some reason.
When will Shi Yi make the first move and confess his love to her??
I think it'll happen closer to EP30. Cause from the drama trailer, it seems that there is a 'going abroad' moment for Shiyi. And if their relationship transitions to official couple right now... then I don't know how they are going to continue the story upto EP36.
Such a beautiful drama! I'm beyond surprised that this is literally one of the only dramas that is being slept on from the iQiyi Sweet On series. Personally, this needs atleast an 8.5+ rating.
the only one disappointing point about this drama - translation schedule(((4 episodes per week for 36 ep. drama…
Nah. We are too. But, YoYo provides fansubs and they take time. Plus, it's being released as per the Non-VIP schedule by Youku. It's a blessing actually that we get four episodes per week. Had it been Youku, they'd have released two episodes per week or something.
He is not "sick" exactly from what I saw (EP19, but sure that it was discussed or shown somewhere before that.) It's more like a phobia. He faints at the sight of blood.
This scene was deleted from the final version: https://youtu.be/L8e-9KEGH0M They should've kept it! :D [Plus, AvenueX made a review of this ! She made a point: Youku didn't even bother promoting it. I thought they would subtitle it as they did for Falling Into Your Smile, Flaming Heart or My Fated Boy and all their recent dramas. YoYo thankfully fansubs almost all their zero promotion stuff and we International viewers stumble on them. :D]
I kinda watched it raw till Ep 20. Why does it still feel Shi Yi is not ML? They're still focusing too much on…
I skipped through the episodes 19 and 20. I didn't feel that Cheng Lang had too much screentime - It's the usual amount like during the first 7 episodes.
I couldn't get past the 1st episode. She clearly knew that he was no good for her. I would have liked it if she noticed him flirting with her while she was at the bar after her heartbreak and decided like - "No. No. He is reminding me of my ex. I should save myself." and left the place. It's better if she went her own way at the end of this drama, judging from all the reviews and comments. If she does, maybe I'll try to pick this back up. (It's painful, watching her lose her brain over some random dude while she could've used that heartbreak as a leverage to get her life back on track. I'm sorry to hear that such things happen in real life. I hope no one goes through anything like this. )
I tried watching Lovely Us but I fell asleep at Episode 1. But since it's in the top ten, I'm pretty sure it's…
I read a few chapters randomly. Richard Wang's character (Zhou Sheng, who is also in the same college) visits Bi Wenjun's (Yu Hao) character in his dreams. They apparently fight monsters and go on adventures. That part would look awesome if done right. I never watched In a Class of Her Own cause the reviews were so polarising. (But, BWJ and RW seems to have had good chemistry from all the gifs I saw on tumblr.) Ni Chang was sure to be a fluffy drama, so I did not started that one too. Hopefully things go well and I'll still have an internet connection by then. Thanks, Cho Na. :)

Episode previews of 25 and 26 can be found here, if that helps.
They should've kept it! :D
