Title Hidden Love
This is my 2nd Cdrama. I was kind of worried before starting whether the beginning of the story would be predatory due to the onscreen age difference. But good that it is not. There are couples of scenes where you can question ML and their childhood connection. If you look past it, you will enjoy this drama.

It was a good watch overall. Rated it 8/10

Title My Liberation Notes Spoiler
I want to become a member of liberation club is one thing I felt while watching the drama. Even if the major portion of the story happens in a village, I will give also give credit to writer for not adding 10 different village folks to act as fillers to fill the screentime.

I do not regret watching this but the ending left me unsatisfied, similar to My Mister. Like, Chang Hee's character to me is the heart of the show. How they ended his story was poor. Sure, he may have found Funeral director as the purpose of his life but why tease the relationship with his friend, only to break it in next episode? What was the point of that? Why break his heart again?

Is the elder sister going to wait for a decade to get married? Is that a good ending? Is Mr. Gu leaving alcohol behind a good ending? Couldn't they have added few scenes that he is in rehab finally, as he once advised his Ex-girlfriend?

I would have rated this drama 9.5 but the last episode just made me remember the sour feeling of My mister ending all over again.

Rated this 8/10.

On The World That They Live In Mar 3, 2024
Not sure how to rate this. The characters in the drama were not usual cliche drama characters. The show was more slice of life than romance or melo or the usual Kdrama type.

Neither I liked any character nor hated it. The drama is somewhere in between good and bad. ML choosing his pride over relationship felt real for change and the follow-up breakup segment has the ugliest real cry you will see in dramas. Rather than the usual 1 episode breakup, leads having extended breakup is something different than usual. FLs emotional and harsh take down of MLs antics was the highlight of the drama.

Rating it 7/10. But I won't recommend watching this.

Title You Are My Spring Spoiler
Good drama overall and a nice healing story. Best characters of this drama are FLs mother and MLs chaotic friend. Dude wore his heart on his sleeve.

Kind of disappointed with the ending of MLs friends. Both of them were good dudes. MLs chaotic friend could have paired with FLs co-worker. Their dynamic would have been chaotic. Why did MLs other friend reject the boxer and she was never seen again? This was a weird ending for both the characters. FLs brother had no screentime or role in the drama. FLs best friend ending up with her brother is another weird choice.

This drama screenwriter is same as Bubblegum. It appears that she overcompensated the simplistic yet nice story of Bubblegum and tried to add thriller/mystery element. Thriller element should have ended with the suicide. Twin was unnecessary. The screentime of thriller could have been spent to address the childhood issues of ML and use remaining time for other characters to round off the story. Even addressing mental health portion of police might have been a better choice.

None of these are major issues and the drama is still a good one-time watch. It's a good healing drama. slow-paced drama enjoyers will like it. Rated this 8/10.

You say that they avoid some tropes, but I read somewhere that there is a 2 episodes break up towards the end?
They tease it as breakup, but I am not sure if I can say it as breakup since the ML says at the end of the segment that he is going to wait for her.

hi, could you still remember, how long does it take for the series to come to the current time? how many episodes…
TBH, I do not remember specific episodes. First episodes starts when they are adult but goes into childhood in the first episode itself. Few episodes of childhood continues and then we revert back to somewhere in future. After few more episodes, there is time skip to present.

There is lot of flashback to childhood throughout the drama.

Choices have consequence is the underlying theme of this drama. First half of the drama is good. After Episode-6-7, it seemed like a chore to finish the remaining ones. Second half got boring quickly and became more melo than thriller.

Decent one-time watch. Rated it 7/10.

Story seems to be over by episode-11. Episode-12 was just weird. Last 5 episodes seemed meaningless and did not add anything new to the drama. Episode-12 could have been the finale instead of introducing new characters and going round in circles.

Episodes are also under 60 mins, which makes them binge worthy. Only issue with this drama is the non existent OST.

On the second leads - It is better to leave the audience asking for more scenes of the second lead than actually giving them more space than needed. They are second lead for a reason. If people end up liking second leads more than the main, then there are major problems with a drama.

Rated it 8/10.

One question that did come up in my mind while and after watching this. Did FL punish the culprits that wronged her in another life or she created the culprits in second life to punish them? I felt it was the later on some level. Still an enjoyable drama nevertheless.

Not sure how to rate this one. It was not bad nor average or good. When the finale episode started, I already started to think about the next drama to watch. I am still unsure if this is a story about a self-sacrificing mother or a controlling mother who wants to remote control her boy.

Rated it 7/10. You can watch it once. I don't think it has any rewatch value.

You can guess the complete plot after the first 15 mins of first episode. But this does not lessen the enjoyment of the drama and I liked this one.

It was a good choice to make the rich FL a normal human vs a rich jerk CEO. Story ends perfectly, leaving each relationship where should be to. Credits to the drama for being able to successfully avoid the cliche of making the CEO as jerk, avoiding breakup+time skip, avoiding making side couples more interesting than main one, avoiding pairing ML brother with ML friend,

People keep giving examples of Romance is romancing. The first 8 episodes of this show was prime example of this. This should be credited. They also had the most natural progression of relationship given the premise of the story.

OST could have been better. I rated this 9/10.

In which episode did they get together? In which episode did they breakup and get back again?Any love triangle…
You would have to watch both seasons for the story to end. Can't remember the specifics around episodes but leads are together for most of the season. Both ML and FL have different people interested in them but none of them were annoying.

Happy ending at the end of season-2.

Title One Spring Night Spoiler
Can't believe this drama does not have cheating as a tag. It's 2024 and I can't believe that I have to write it. Cheating is cheating, whether it is physical or emotional. Creating a new category called 'Emotional cheating' does not make it any less.

I did not know that the main plot was basically cheating and bunch of supporting characters glamourising it as profound love. People can breakup or fall out of love for any reason. The way the relationship progressed is cheating. There is no denying this if you watched first 6-7 episodes. FL takes a supposed break, went behind the guy's back and waited till her feelings are strong enough and rug pulled the guy. The second half of the drama with the guy being portrayed as some sort of big evil is just a cop out to make the audience feel sympathetic towards FL and overlook her actions.

The drama just became a comedy than melo and I just laughed at whatever scenarios were created in the second half, particularly with the FLs ex-boyfriend.

I can't believe this drama is rated 8.3 on MDL. Drama watchers seem to be more accommodating in general if trash behaviour is from main leads. Maybe a contributing factor is a large percentage of drama watchers are fans of actors playing leads.

I rated it 4/10.

After watching 140+ Kdramas, this was my first Cdrama.

This is a true slice of life. There is no plot. There are no serial killers, murder subplot, no side couples, no antagonist or jilted ex-lovers. First episode is a dagger to heart to set the stage. Next 5 episodes are the painfully boring. But if you get past 6 episodes, you will start enjoying this drama.

I rated it 7/10.

Season-1 was a good drama. The world building was good. Characters had arcs and it was never boring even for a minute. OST could have been better. For the first time, I saw a 100 year old dude in love triangle. It was really a good choice to make royal prince a character with different emotions rather than making him the template bad guy.

Season-2 was not required and felt unnecessary. Story should have ended with Season1.

I rated this 9.5/10

I waited for this to complete airing so that I can binge watch. I am also happy to see that the ratings have started to increase from 8.2 to 8.3 after it has completed airing.

This is a satisfying 12 episodes watch. This may not have a great standalone OST drama, but definitely the background music is on point and worth mentioning.

I rated it 9/10.

After watching 130+ dramas for first time, I decided to pause the last episode and sleep instead of staying up to finish a drama. The story was over by 14th episode and we got 2 full filler episodes in a drama which was a filler. This drama feels like a wasted potential.

Would it have been a better story if they actually made the series about the subplot of 4 friends who went to Seoul to live their dreams?

Rated it 7/10 at the end.

This would have been a great drama too. 7 episodes of pre memory loss bickering, 8th episode ending with memory loss, 6 episodes of post memory loss romance, 1 episode breakup and 1 episode of finale.

It's just meaningless, senseless, disjointed compilation of scenes. Plot is shit. Characters are together for no reason. Even for a 33 episodes drama, the relationship feels rushed and unrealistic because there was no real build up that warrant's relationships. Second couple was even more weird because they became couple for no reason. Leads bickering feels weak. So not great love/hate relationship either.

Most characters feel fake and forced. Just showing same trees did not make this a healing drama. Maybe this drama was suffering from Covid while being made.

Overall, I rated it 5/10
