For the record: The end of ep 9 forced stay and kiss is SEXUAL HARASSMENT; and furthermore, SEXUAL HARASSMENT…
I reposted this from below where I replied to your comment...
The sidling up behind her to 'fix' the poster? That was icky. and yes it was SH in the workplace. But worse it is exactly the same sort of horrific sneaky harassment women face on public transport everyday. Thanks for calling it out.
We should at least call attention calmly even if we need to pass over it to enjoy watching.
The whole industry/audience in Asia must have their own weird reasons for being so retrograde. may they change, may they change... I am not sure if they are not pandering to the young male portion of the audience...?? It is a very sticky discussion and one which really should probably be held elsewhere. And probably by the home audiences rather than us. The struggle there, its timings, its foci, must be respected.
isnt the end forced kiss in his office of ep 9 sexual harassment at work... ??? nobody EVER said anything about…

8 minutes into ep9 and I am delightedly laughing like a hyena!!! Not only JKY's stepsister but EVEN HIS MOM, each!, separately!. have plans to sabotage the engagement ceremony!
And MOM beats the other two to the punch! (too bad, I was happily anticipating the stepsisteers 'cheating/adultery evidence!)
Is it just me or do the leads in this drama look alike?
Not in this drama, the leads, both male and female and even the 3rd couple are noticeably different. Not like Love In the Clouds, which was truly nervewracking for the first 2 episodes!
Perhaps this will be my first comment where I am going to be Brutal about a series. Not because there is anything…
Tropes are the building blocks of any plot in a fast-moving industry like TV. They can be boring if done badly, if used cynically, or if the rest of the show doesnt give them life. Annoying, spectacularly stupid sometimes, they are still part of the mechanics of writing a show. High art or self-reflective originality, what are you on about buddy?
But it is all about 'execution' -- that is what makes Korean productions so amazing. I wont rant on about that here, there is too much to talk about and love.
But one thing about tropes, they are relaxing, you know how they will go more or less. Cliches are annoying, over-used or poorly used tropes. Not the same thing. Any trope a writer uses has to get something extra written into it to make it come alive again. You have to actually watch the show to see that.
Those who think in a boring manner will be bored, but crucially those who dont take the time to really see and listen to a piece will have no real idea if it is any good or not.
This is based on what? And you have the right to take up this much time because? I will never read anything with your name on it again, as I believe you are doing this nonsense in bad faith..
The beautiful main couples would not be so attractive were it not for the other great elements of this comedy.
MY favourite things: JKY's portrayal of JiHyeok's relationship with his mom. Very strong. Beyond the love squares, the supporting players have really good comic skills. The stepsisters' henchman is outstanding, and I have a little thing for the ML's good-looking secretary. I like the 2 villains, both the actors and their charactyers as written, the stepsister and the evil brother of 2FL. The child actor is excellent (its a comedy about mothers so he had better be!).
ep7-8 Altho the humble submissive (and too underweight for health!) FL vs. very dominant ML is getting boring, I am enjoying the ML's devotion to his Mom, it is nice.
How weird -- MDL has negative reviews and rating is high? A cheerful little chaotic gem. Very Korean. Beloved on viki. Was on streaming in SK, so no ratings that I have seen from home. I really enjoyed it, Good rewatch value because it is unique and wont ever be copied.

I think that episode went too far, but I will still see this through, there are too many fun moments to miss out.
However DK isnt going onto any favorites list of mine. Ever.
Maybe JKY, though.

But the comedy and froth still is good enough so far to lessen my mounting irritation, each episode.
