Signature truly toxic bed toss; actually awful 'I cant help myself, its your fault'; and finally the hoist over the shoulder. Why is this funny? Because it is predictable?
as a rule not too many drunk scenes..but some of these are priceless! her lips arrive at his mouth attached to his meal! And she happily and obliviously dances to what sounds like baroque music while he fends off people bent on assaulting her!!!
Why should I mind? Everyone is free to share their perspectives. Actually, we have never seen our past. What happened…
wow you are from India? i am totally humbled in front of your country's history! sorry again for being so word-obsessed. i try not to be academic (its essentially rude in the context of comments) but sometimes it just pops out. Nice to hear abt indias hxcal context too. Being from the us, and being older, the horrors of slavery really weigh on me. I almost didnt watch tolo, the 1st few eps were so grim...
W hy does Ryan Ren make me laugh so much. He gives the most sincere kisses but in her first dream once again he is giving some girl back pain with errol flynn moves. Over the coffin!
Hi. Prehistoric sounds like you meant something else, Im not sure. Joseon was a centraliized and very well-documented kingdom from the 14thC thru the 19C, so not prehistorical (sorry if I am being overliteral). But anyways there was a seriously weird and intractable problem of an overpopulation of govt slaves and of a lack of humane regulation for what seem to be really complicated economic reasons. Its not my area, but I would guess this much, that the cruelty and craziness in ToLO is actually more realistic than the cheerfully positive depictions of Joseon which we all know and love, and it reflects how cruel stupid people can really be if they think they can get away with it. Had to get that off my chest. Nothing really to do with your comment. Dont mind me.
I didnt know that this was showing on netflix... it doesnt show on mine... anyeay i am not a fan of Yeo Ri...…
netflix has a separate asia showing list on flixpatrol it will show up as a separate section under the shows ratings chart. of course we dont get to see the asia section. i think it might be a financial arrangement with other streamers, including viki sometimes
Yeah, I had to subscribe to kocowa just to see this. I hate this separate Netflix Asia list which no one tells us about. I wonder if requests will help?
So is there two of the male character, is he a twin. Currently at ep3and I'm lost
the same actor plays both. They are just conicidentally exactly alike, doppelgangers. Part of the overall plot, since both the FL and ML play dangerous games of liv ing in disguises and having to persuade others that they do not see what they see. As seasoned kdrama fans, we at first think twins or disguise but are willing to hang in there for the big reveals, right? Without too much spoiling I can say that both characters get to be herhusband, but at different times! Enjoy.oth characters
I think the last scene really sums up everything .heres my interpretation of it .Hae Sing comes to NYC to see…
This is a good interpretation. As you say, HS finds out that Nora is her best self in the middle of her own life now. I also liked that he didnt try to sway her. He really wanted to know. I believed him when he said liked arthur so much and when he invited arthur to visit him. So freaking Korean (male separate sphere society) to bond with the other guy as a gesture of respect-+.
This is a really great movie. Why does everyone hate it so much? Movies are really different animal even to mini series, so the comments like "I've seen the nostalgia bit before" seem wildly off-point to me. If its perfect, it doesnt have to be new -- but the juxtaposition is new, that of the interpretation of life if you are korean or have watched too many dramas or both, with the life of the imagination in the US or canada (I almost included Mex biut they have a radically different cinema) -- so what if its artsy. Its still really a great movie.
(watching ep 5) Maybe I am wrong but doesnt Do Ba U secretly enjoy Ha Min's double entendres, at the same time as he doesnt trust his own understanding? That would mean we should understand DBU as a victim of the disease of massive overthinking...He seems much more at ease (what a a nice smile) with Ha Min, who is more open towards him, clearer...HM makes DBU feel attractive? Huh, this must be good bec its got everyone of the commentators emoting like crazy and involved..
