I wrote a review and then deleted it and then reposted it. Loyalty to LJW conflicts with dislike of the show. And lack of confidence -- I am old enough to remember the Heaven's Gate disaster which now people seem to really appreciate. Maybe this will be better when I get around to rewatching it.
I really liked the show -- decent episode structures, really endearing completely exhausted and often unwashed residents. Really endearing. Sneaky, sneaks into your heart.. good production value, excellent character writing, good acting. What's not to love? But the very best thing is that it questions authority and hierarchy intelligently.
Is this airing on asia netflix? I just saw (on breathlesssurvival) that netflix picked it up for the 18th of May but I dont see it in the US. I am watching on viki and happy abt how well it is doing in china, so I guess I dont care.
gangcheol's mind works so sloppily. it's like he always has all the pieces to figure out what's happening before…
Yes, I think its cute. He is such an emotional being. I like that the character doesnt stray too far from the ideas of a 'real' imugi -- a creature of weather water and fertility of the earth. Flowers still blossom when he wants them too, even though he is losing his more violent powers.
I watched till E5 and so far, this drama hasnt impressed me at all. The cinematography and background score are…
I love your drama. For what its worth, in the first few eps of DH I suspected Jaeyi of having killed Hongrang somewhat intentionally. She kept gripping her left arm at the elbow. when she heard the white man's whoosh.
Hi. You have a lot of fun ahead of you in 'sageuk' the korean version of period dramas, so enjoy. Only, they wont look like Hongrang at all! Sageuk doesnt do realistic costuming, it concentrates on fun and social commentary, often very witty, and on sweet romance, sometimes tragic.
nope. I was watching dear hongrang at the same time and Jo Bo Ahs character once again had to be rescued bec she misjudged her own capabilities. Sorry.
hi guys. the teenage girl at home alone hears a noise in the basement and the lights cut out, what does she do? She picks up her flashlight and goes into the basement then has to be rescued. Over the years havent you ever found yrself talking to the screen saying dont go down into the basement? Jo Bo Ah is always charging off bec she is afraid and has misjudged her own abilities and often the suitability of her shoes to the terrain...Ick. And she always m akes a noise and gets caught.
She always goes down into the basement when the power goes off -- hate the trope with all my being. Hated it in destined with you, hate it oh so much more here.
Some confusion is deliberately created by writers to get the audience more involved too i think. .
