now that is a really interesting question. It seemed obvious when I was watching but now i have to think... Obvious because it was fun to watch how good the actor is #1. And because that weirdness is part of a solidly central theme of disguise, social staus roles and 'real' identities. I mean, because Lady Ok has to prove over and over again that she is not goedecki altho she really is, while Seo In as Seung hwi escapes his status as an illegitimate son and the problem of marrying Goedeckis horrible mistress by pretending that he is somebody mysterious just like a real idol singer...that is #2.
but why?
Is it that one of the Doppelgangers is person on a mission who will never change no matter what---a gay political activist (he sets up safe shelters for gay children who are being abused) and the other one is an artist who changes his outer self but stays faithful in his heart...
but when you ask abt the actor -- I dont know, does anybody know if this is a novel?
yes, thanks, but the whole bit seemed rushed and superfluous. Let's put it this way -- LJW's portrayal emphasized his suffering, not his fertility or even carnal pleasure , ewhen making love. The Prince wanted spiritual power...its fiction but not well-structured, from my POV.

I am a deep fan of LJW but I didnt like the show, in so many ways. I am really worried about the 'masterpiece' reviews -- paid posters? AI? But in reality, probably, I hope, just some people really like gory horrors and dark secrets with transgressions. Not me unless its good art with a stronger script. I did watch it all.
Exactly why I liked it but from the other end of the age spectrum! I like to see real young people as they are now if I am watching a modern kdrama. I wasnt sure I would make it past Yi Young's pout, as much as I love the actress, but I am glad I did. Her interview here was illuminating I thought.
Looking forward to can this love be translated. Go Youn Jung is the hope for a future of lead actresses in drama who are well-trained versatile and flexible. The industry has been playing it safe with maturing child actors, but frequently those actresses are stuck in mannerisms and their technique isnt under their control.
