How much screen time did Lu Yuxiao have in this drama, please? Considering this is the first drama I am going…
she gets her own time to shine, but given the extensive cast, don’t go in expecting every other scene to have her in it. she first appears in ep 5 and gradually gets more scenes. she did really well in this role even with the limited screen time though
watched this for the leads and they didn’t disappoint!! love the storyline and the fact that they were actually in the desert most of the time. many shows start with interesting premises but fail to maintain it throughout. i love the found family dynamics too
felt like the show said everything and a whole lot of nothing at the same time. overall decently enjoyable, especially the first half. park sung woong really outshined the rest of the cast imo
yes, in terms of intimacy & interactions (nothing too explicit in the novel, but definitely more than the show) the novel has a lot of teasing / cute moments
came back to say that the novel is sooo good!! if you liked the show, please give the novel a read! the cases adapted in the show are very similar to the novel (with few exceptions), and i liked that the show added more backstory to the monsters/characters in the different doors which the novel sometimes lacked. one of the better adaptions out there for sure!
this show was so refreshing. no deaths, revenge, and dramatic plotting - just wholesomeness. even the more intense episodes ended well. truly a healing and comfort show. loved all the dynamics, i couldn’t bring myself to hate any character because they were so well developed and everyone has their own nuance. the romance is mainly a side plot for most of it, but greatly progresses towards the second half. loved the pairings!
this really shows what true family is, and should be like. 10/10 one of the best slice of life shows out there.
finished both seasons recently, both were equally good to me. season 1 cases were good and season 2 felt like there was an overarching main plot with cases that targetted certain characters to show us a deeper side to them, which i appreciated.
read the spoiler of do jin being written off but tbh they managed to keep the pacing and you could tell they tried their best to honour the character. i liked the way different characters grieved differently, especially Seol - you could tell she was most affected by it and the show also showed her slowly accepting and coming out of her grief towards the end. agreed that this season focused more on police + forensics, i did wish we could see the fire station team in action abit more.
overall a pretty solid watch, if you turn your brain off and just enjoy the ride. loved all the side characters - shoutout to Myeongpil and Doha, who were Jin Dogae’s ride or die. the ending tied everything up nicely and the romance was just nice. i also liked the detail they did where they centered every episode around a term/definition used in first responder scenarios like the various code types.
this link should work!

i’m so down for a season 3!
