Finally finished! Nice drama for me especially the 2 main leads (particularly Liu XueYi). Why can’t we have a happy ending (what’s wrong with the writer) since novel is also HE? Both the leads had really a sad past and they deserved a good end. Some consolation there about ‘rewriting their meet’ in that couple of minutes. 👍.. Another sad part is MJH lost Ching Yan and MJH is really so lonely till the end. Hero does not deserve that. 😡
Anyone can tell me if The Untamed is as good as this drama? I am almost finishing Word of Honor and I must say that I seldom come across a drama that I am not bored with the dialogues & it keeps me engaged.. Not sure if The Untamed will be as good (because I am not really a fan of Xiao Zhan😅..I might be the minority one..haha)

I think they like each other back then when he is blind. But she thought that he is a ruthless guy and want to kill her or don’t care if she dies. So, she just wants to forget everything and start afresh. Hope that her identity can be reveal earlier and we get to see both the MLs lovey dovey😅

Agreed. I skip many scenes in LoN as some parts are too dragy & boring (because it’s 40 episodes). I believe this drama’s pacing will be good with no drag because it’s only 32 episodes😅..hope I am right…
I managed to catch up to episode 34 (as usual…skipping some scenes😅). The last couple of episodes are getting better and not so draggy. Probably, this drama could just have 34-36 episodes and will not have those boring scenes in between. My thoughts are:- 1. WZ could just try to kill XC one time and not 3 times. He can tease her and not Kill her other times and we probably could see the romance blossom earlier and not so bitter. XC is like a bright light to him and we could have seen more of his smiling faces (at her) rather than the painful look. Till now, I can only remember his painful look😱 2. For PY, he could get over XC (maybe somewhere before hitting episode 20). Either give him a love interest or let him have bromance with WZ to work together. His character is someone that made plans well ahead (due to his bring up) and he always believe that he is doing something good to give help to whoever need it (just like XC’s case). His love & care for XC overshadowed what he can see until he realised in episode 34. This could happen much earlier like episode 20 or so. Then, the story can focus on the bromance between PY and WZ. They have the same goal which is to provide what is best for the people. 3. For XC, as her character is more straightforward, she could confess earlier to WZ and save all these uncalled agony between the 3 of them. We couple have seen 2 happy couples:- WZ & XC and WZ & PY😅. All in all, the first 10-15 episodes were good, after that it became boring with too much scenes in Yueluo (kind of draggy) until it reach like around episode 28. For me, this drama night not be a drag with around 34-35 episodes with this amount of the current content. If it is 40 episodes, maybe the backstory (from slave to his current position) of WZ would be a better fit. I really hope the last 6 episodes will not disappoint, be it HE, BE or OE….as long as it fits the overall storyline😅

I am also not really a fan of the ML (not because of his no kissing rule) and I did not get through a couple of his drama (not sure why). Agree he look good when he smile but most of the time I just see his wrinkled & painful face. Actually this drama could just go with no romance genre as I don’t feel or see much romance shown here between the ML & FL. In fact, killing part ‘feel’ is stronger😅. I am here for the drama for Li Landi & Jeremy Tsui. First 12-15 episodes are good. But as it goes go on, I am beginning to lose interest and some parts are boring. Sorry to say I skip scenes whenever the ML is with the FL….it just keep repeating the same mourning over their past sadness (you know what I mean when you watch it)…palace politics with Jeremy Tsui are more interesting. If you like both Landi & Jeremy, probably could try out😅

Totally agree with your point. When a drama theme says “enemy to lover”, the ‘enemy ‘ part should not include killing someone..it’s insane. For the ML here, his thoughts of killing are quite intense. The writer should have just leave the ML without any love story line with the FL. The ML can continue to be mean and make his big plans on his revenge… I think it is also fine that this drama does not have any romance story among the lead cast and focus on the political part instead (as I could not really feel any or much romancing till the current episodes and it’s coming to an end soon)….😅

Just saying….What if WZ need or have to kill JC again (because of some Yan sisters story).. Isn’t JC has to hope that WZ need to save her again to be equal again😱. This “enemies to lovers” troupe is not convincing enough to worship. Any kind of enemy is always better than ‘killing’ someone, especially WZ’s intent to kill her is so strong in the beginning. Even I feel that he wants to kill her feel is stronger than loving her because he is still hesitating and because of the Yan sisters (he looks conflicted & worried)…

It’s not necessary that FL & ML must have a love story line. It happens in Lost You Forever. I am up till episode 23 but some parts are boring. I still prefer to see more of Pei Yan’s presence with palace struggle/planning strategy than Wei Zhao’s mourning over the sadness in Yue Luo..it kind of repeating there🤔
Just finished! Can’t believe I missed out this drama… Thought it’s 56 episodes, I still enjoyed every episode of it👏👏. This is the 2nd drama I watched that I must say it’s really good, everything about this drama is so good that I keep binging on it😅. And of course the 1st drama that is so good is Till The End of the Moon😘… both so worth re-watching….
You should watch “one and only” and/or “under the power” RJL acting is top notch
Actually, I did put these 2 on watch list because I read people’s comments that they were good (but not because of Ren Jia Lun…haha)… I do hope those dramas which change my opinion…👍

Yeah, agree with that she is innocent in the early part. So, the writer could have given her a better role development in the later part…like after 10 episodes..she could have learn a thing or two in that “relationship” area😅..because she should be a smart woman too. Sometimes, a good drama could be spoilt halfway due to some of the poor characters role development. Landi is a good actress, really like her in The Starry Love😘
