I like FLs to be intelligent, ambitious businesswoman, a professional or at least some special skills eg. excellence…
I agree but I just felt that the whole show was about her face cream business so far. It became a little repetitive for me going from opening her business to having it sabotage and then reopening again and having it sabotage. Whew! Let's just have her be successful, please.
And I would love to buy some of her magic creams that happen to fix every skin concern. I wish! Then I wouldn't have to go to the dermatologist anymore lol.
I'm only on ep.17 so I may be speaking too soon, but so far I have started feeling bad for Wenwan. She was apparently…
Yes, they're a fake couple. I think the ML said they would end their sham marriage later but I think Wenwan was already in love with ML to agree to the sham marriage in the first place. And I think the ML just feels bad for Wenwan cause he's using her.
This drama should be called 'Romance of Ji Man and her Face Creams' instead. I liked her face cream business but I feel like it became the whole show so far. Haha. idk
First time watching DYX and his acting is good! Really enjoying so far. The plot isn't complicated but it's got…
You should definitely watch DYX in 'The Romance of Tiger and Rose'- I'm sure you'll absolutely love him in that. He's a literal puppy in that one. His gaze on the FL (Zhao Lusi) is perfection.
I think the pacing although not slow- is a bit odd. I feel like this drama could've been 16 episodes or max 20 episodes. The plot is not that complex so they could've shortened it. I also don't understand her amnesia and how there are literally no triggers but when they got to Haifeng she did feel the place was familiar.

Ah- that makes sense. I mean the real Nie Sangyu also fell in love with him and basically forced him into marriage so maybe Wenwan's situation is similar to that. But yeah I guess she most likely would be part of someone's evil plan to plot against the ML.
You know when you finish a really good book and wish you could read it for the first time again? That! For this drama! I wish I could watch it all over again for the first time. Rewatching is great but I've rewatched so many times so it's not as heart-fluttering anymore. Still love it though!
I've been waiting for this drama the second I found out Ding Yuxi and Peng Xiaoran were the leads! Loved him in TROTR and loved her in GMP so I was excited to see them pair up.
I wish they would've kept it as a modern girl going back in time into Nie Sangyu's body rather than doing the whole twin thing. The twin thing just isn't sitting right with me. Maybe it's too soon to speak. And I realize it's due to censorship but I wished the director or writers could've somehow found a loophole, ya know. But I get it- the twin thing is the next best thing they could've done to keep the drama rolling.
I wonder now why Jiman don't talk about Wenwan be married to ML, i mean she must talk with ML about this bitch,…
I'm only on ep.17 so I may be speaking too soon, but so far I have started feeling bad for Wenwan. She was apparently SA by bandits and the ML "rescued" her so she "loves" him because of that. (I'm saying "rescued" because he didn't really rescue Wenwan since she was already SA by the time he got there. I mean I guess he helped her afterward.)
So basically I sympathize with her on that but is she just too evil for people to feel bad for her? I'm just saying cause I only see comments cussing her out left and right.
I'm really going to miss this show. DFQC and Orchid, (esp DFQC! His character development) the beautiful visuals…
Same. I was ready for it to end but the sad thing about a drama ending is that you won't get to see the characters anymore (not counting rewatching). While you watch a drama that you really enjoy and connect with, you feel as though these characters are apart of your life and then it ends and you feel sad to say goodbye to them. At least it's that way for me personally. This drama is indeed a masterpiece like you said!
ok ok ok. I just finished it and well... a bittersweet ending that I'm semi-content with.
First of all, the final battle was way, way too long (for me personally). It just kept going on with all of their powers shooting like stars, but I did feel touched when the moon tribe people came to help the fairies fight the evil spirit.
Secondly, just like everyone predicted we only got like a 30-second glimpse of happiness for DFQC & XLH before the credits rolled. Bummer!
And last of all, how in the world can 500 years pass by after DFQC died and peace was restored in all three realms? 500 years!! That's probably a normal time passage for immortals but that is a trillion years too long for our two main leads to be apart. That makes it even sadder and more depressing that they couldn't be together for 500 years. All that time that they could've loved just wasted. So sad. I get upset when 3 years pass by with two lovers unable to be together in other dramas I've watched, but freaking 500 years!? (I really did not like Rong Hao but now I feel so incredibly bad for him... knowing he waited 30,000 years for Chidi. Sorry, poor Rong Hao.)
But I guess it's a happy ending, nonetheless. Lovely drama! Highly recommend with rewatch value for sure. Now I gotta go find something else to watch that will give me butterflies like this one did.
Imma riot if I don't get a happy ending or we get a 20 second glimpse of them remeeting and then it fades to black
Exactly! l don't want them to remeet and then we're left with some open ending, imagining how their love and life will turn out. I want to actually watch all of this happen instead of being left feeling kind of empty and not really knowing for sure if things turned out ok for them. DFQC & XLH went through so much that they deserve a happy ending. Scriptwriter and director, please, please!!
DFQC growing the little XLH seed was so incredibly cute and somehow... romantic!?? Idk. But I got teary-eyed watching him take such good care of her while she grew. You could tell how extremely precious she was to him and I loved that. And XLH was always so pretty throughout the whole drama but her transformation into the Goddess was amazing. XLH as the Goddess was so freaking gorgeous! I really love this drama.
So we got mostly episode 33 with Dylan and Esther only was delicious! DFQC tried to woo the Goddess was pretty…
I know, right. I really want lots of scenes with DFQC & XLH, specifically because we're so close to the ending. If we weren't then I'd be fine with more scenes of other characters but since it's not like that then I need to see, live, breathe, and experience our two main leads and their love. I also miss XLH's sweet and innocent self too. Sad.
I would do a full review when this is done. But just want to drop this here that out of all Xianxia series that…
Right! The costumes do look very luxurious and well-designed without looking tacky at all. I like XLH's outfits but DFQC's wardrobe is on another level! Wow! Props to the costume designers because you can tell they put in so much work making them.
And I would love to buy some of her magic creams that happen to fix every skin concern. I wish! Then I wouldn't have to go to the dermatologist anymore lol.
